Indonesia has enormous potential for zakat, but the results of collecting zakat are still far from the existing potential. OPZ has made various ways to increase the collection of zakat funds, one of which is by implementing online zakat payments. This study aims to analyze the resistance to using online zakat payment services. The research approach is quantitative with the help of smartPLS software. This study's variables consist of information variables, which are independent variables, while the dependent variable consists of traditional barrier variables, image barriers, usage barriers, value barriers, and risk barriers. Data in this study collected using a questionnaire. The sample of this study was 100 respondents from various regions in Indonesia. The results showed that the information has a significant and negative effect on the traditional barrier variables, image barrier, usage barrier, value barrier. This means that the greater / more information provided by OPZ, the barrier in using online zakat payment services are getting smaller / less. The information variable on the risk barrier shows insignificant and negative results.

This study aimed to investigate the influence factors of product packaging to Pop Mie consumer purchase decision at Wiyung Giant Supermarket. Product packaging factors in this case includes visibility, information, emotional appeal, and power/ ability to do (workability). The population used in this study is to visitors of the Wiyung Giant Supermarket who was buying Pop Mie. Technique to determine the members of the sample in this study is using accidental sampling technique. The number of samples is 105 respondents. This research notes that the results of hypothesis testing through F test states that the visibility, information, emotional appeal, and power/ ability to do (workability) have significant influence simultaneously to the consumer purchases decision(Y). This conclusion is based on the results of the analysis that shows calculated F value of 28.199 with an error rate prediction / forecast of 0.000 with a value smaller than 0.05 or 5%. Based on t test, it can be known that all the free variables which consist of visibility, information, emotional appeal, and power/ ability to do (workability) partially have a significant influence on the dependent variable, the consumer purchase decision. This was proved by the level of significance for each independent variable is smaller than at 0.05 or 5%. The result of T test shows that information variable has regression coefficient = 0.742 and calculated t = 9.202 with a significance level of 0.000. So that, information variable has the most influence to consumer purchase decisions of Pop Mie at Wiyung Giant Supermarket.

Purpose – This paper aims to examine the impact of the return differential between the domestic and foreign markets on the risk exposure of country mutual funds (CMFs). It is argued that when US market returns are higher than the foreign market returns, the returns chasing investors will tilt their portfolio toward the US market assets, increasing the co-movement between the US market and CMF return. Design/methodology/approach – The sample includes 19 exchange traded funds (ETFs) and 18 closed-end mutual funds (CEFs) over the period between 2001 and 2011. A static two-factor model is used to get the benchmark results. On the other hand, a conditional specification is used, with the return differential as the information variable, to capture the variation in the exposure of the country funds to their underlying risks. Findings – Empirically, the authors find results that partially support their argument. The results of the static two-factor model indicate that the CMFs are exposed to the foreign market risks, whereas the local (US) market risk is not generally priced. The results obtained from the conditional specification, however, shows that the estimated US betas are significant for a number of CMFs. Practical implications – A possible interpretation of this finding is that the return differential encourages return chasing behavior of the US investors documented in the international investment literature. This, in turn, may contribute to the time-varying exposure of the CMF return to their underlying risk factors. The findings of the paper have important implications for the investors as the time variation in risk exposure of CMFs causes fluctuation in diversification benefits over time. Originality/value – To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first paper that uses return differential as the information variable in a conditional factor model.

We consider SIR epidemic model in which population growth is subject to logistic growth in absence of disease. We get the condition for Hopf bifurcation of a delayed epidemic model with information variable and limited medical resources. By analyzing the corresponding characteristic equations, the local stability of an endemic equilibrium and a disease-free equilibrium is discussed. If the basic reproduction ratioℛ0<1, we discuss the global asymptotical stability of the disease-free equilibrium by constructing a Lyapunov functional. Ifℛ0>1, we obtain sufficient conditions under which the endemic equilibriumE*of system is locally asymptotically stable. And we also have discussed the stability and direction of Hopf bifurcations. Numerical simulations are carried out to explain the mathematical conclusions.
