Abstract: In India, about 50-60% of the total area is vulnerable to the seismic activity. Earthquakes are the vibrations or the motion of the ground due to release of energy. The vibrations or ground motion are the important factors to analyze and design, the earthquake resistant structure. So, to reduce the impact of earthquake different efforts has been done in this field. Basically, earthquake exerts lateral as well as vertical forces so to dissipate those forces and the vibration in system earthquake resistant structure has been design. The design of earthquake resistant structures depends on providing stiffness, strength and inelastic deformation which withstand the earthquake forces. As the height of the structure increases the lateral loads acted on the structure increases and decrease in the stiffness, so to counteract those shear walls and different damping devices has been used. In this study, the safe distance in the case of a hydrogen vehicle fire was analyzed according to the temperature distribution around a hydrogen gas jet flame formed by the thermally activated pressure relief device operation of a hydrogen storage container. The experiment was conducted while 70 MPa hydrogen gas was released from a 1.8-mm-diameter nozzle to a 1.8- × 1.8 m fire-resistant structure wall for distances of 2 and 4 m between the nozzle output and the wall. To analyze the temperature around the hydrogen gas jet flame, five fire-fighting heat-protective hood test samples, certified by the Korea Fire Institute, and temperature sensors were installed every 1 m from the center of the jet flame in the vertical direction to the direction of the flame. In the experiment, the temperature around the jet flame was measured to observe the safe distance for firefighters. The results show that the safe distances at 70°C or less, which is harmless to firefighters, were 5 m without a heat-protective hood and 3 m with a heat-protective hood. In addition, it was confirmed that the direction of the jet flame and blocking by obstacles affect the safe distance during fire-fighting and rescue activities by firefighters.

The main factor for the success of the implementation of education in schools is the infrastructure in the form of completeness of facilities that become the benchmark in all learning activities. To produce students who have comprehensive knowledge must be supported by facilities and skilled teaching staff.   Muhammadiyah Elementary School of Mrisi still needs attention in terms of educational infrastructure facilities that are still lacking with a relatively small number of students. The purpose of this community service is to redesign the buildings, rooms, and the design of school facilities. The initial method used is a survey by measuring and calculating the area of buildings, columns, beams and assessing the existing physical condition and then developing it according to the available land, then it will be simulated using SAP 2000 software, 3D drawings using SketchUp, and calculating the budget plan. The result of the design is a two-level school building with larger beam and column sizes as well as a sturdy and earthquake-resistant structure. Furthermore, several redesigns of facilities such as warehouses, prayer rooms, and first-level classrooms, toilets, canteens, became cleaner and more attractive. The second level is designed for additional classrooms, halls, laboratories, libraries. Other supporting facilities in the form of guard posts, gates, parking lots become more attractive. With a planned budget of Rp 6,226,839,700. -, the school can raise funds to develop school facilities in accordance with the designs that have been made and mutually agreed upon.

A substantiated scientific and technological approach to the design of bituminous binders compositions by compounding unoxidized petroleum feedstocks is one of the key drivers in the development and production of technologically and energy-efficient bituminous binders and asphalt concrete with improved properties for a reliable road surface based on them. A targeted approach to the group composition of bituminous dispersions will help to resolve the issue of developing effective, time-stable and reproducible bituminous compositions. Therefore, the purpose of study is to develop compositions of compounded unoxidized bitumen (BKn) grade 50/70 and to evaluate the effectiveness relative to the trademark BND 50/70. In the work, the following products are considered as components of oil refining for subsequent compounding into BKn 50/70 bitumen: tar, fuel oil, deasphalting asphalt. A comprehensive analysis of results demonstrates the possibility of obtaining a technical result from the use of compounding techniques for unoxidized petroleum feedstock, which consists in the formation of a "sol-gel" dispersed binder structure. It is shown that the designed composition of the bituminous binder is characterized by a stable and resistant structure to thermal destruction. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the developed compositions of BCN is carried out by calculating generalized performance criteria for each composition.

Naval vessels and Submarines structures in their fighting role are susceptible to explosion of torpedoes, mines, TNT etc. The damage inflicted by Contact explosion consists of direct shock wave damage to hull, whipping damage to keel and mechanical damage to onboard equipment and associated systems. The order to design a shock resistant structure, it is important to simulate these structures and loads and then subsequently analyze the same to predict the response (as performing experiments would be expensive). The TNT (Trinitrotoluene) explosion analysis of large structures like ships could be considered as one of the most complicated numerical analysis. Loads can be calculated by using published empirical formulas, which are complicated if calculated the large structure. By using of the FE Software ANSYS, backed up with in the developed software, for Explosion analysis of structures.

As natural disasters are growing in frequency and severity, strategies to mitigate and minimize the impact of natural hazards must be implemented, particularly in the housing sector, as it is a key aspect of human life. This paper focuses on floods since they are proven to be the most prevalent of all natural disasters and this particular issue should be discussed. Owing to the importance of sheltering affected communities, resilient accommodation is not usually discussed. Houses, however, become fragile and are likely to be damaged or demolished in potential natural hazard events by neglecting the risks of exposure in building. That said, when it comes to housing, it becomes important to have resilience requirements, which in turn would allow new homes to better withstand the passage of time and natural disasters, in the safest way possible. In order to define guiding principles that flood-resilient housing should address, an in-depth analysis of permanent housing has been carried out by researching the different ways flood events impact housing. In addition, it is important to distinguish between flood zones because, according to expected flood characteristics, housing can respond to and resist flooding. This paper includes the review of different flood-resistant housing schemes and identifies the most effective design factors and proposes a new plan for resilient housing. Through this analysis, the housing plan is well within the limits of sustainability and addresses the problems of flood-related housing concerns in the most appropriate manner. The results of this study would be very beneficial for individuals living in areas impacted by the floods
