Objective. Intraoperative determination of the threads tension force while performance of laparoscopic cruroraphy. Materials and methods. Using a numerical dynamometer Walcom FM-204-50K the threads tension force was measured while performance of laparoscopic cruroraphy in 62 patients, suffering large hiatal hernias. The measured results have included a middle value of the tension force of every stitch for secure approximation of diaphragmatic crura and presence of any dehiscence in diaphragmatic crura while doing cruroraphy. Results. The middle tension force of the first suture while performing of posterior cruroraphy have constituted 2.1 N, while a second one – 3.2 N and the third – 4.2 N. Positive correlational dependence was revealed between the threads tension force while doing cruroraphy and the hiatus square, as well as with a patient’s age. The correlation link between the threads tension force, while doing cruroraphy, and the patient’s body mass index was not revealed. The diaphragmatic crura muscles dehiscence was observed in the threads tension force, exceeding 4 N. Conclusion. The sutures tension force while cruroraphy conduction, as our data demonstrate, exceeding 4,5 - 5 N, constitutes indication for the net implants application.

The effects of acrylamide modified liner on bonding properties and tribological properties of self-lubricating spherical plain bearings were explored by used of Instron5944 electronic universal testing machine and homemade spherical plain bearings friction and wear tester. The results showed that the bonding properties of bearings modified by acrylamide modified liner were much more improved than those of the unmodified bearings; Self-lubricating spherical plain bearing friction and wear properties and oscillating frequency obvious correlational dependence. With the increase of the oscillation frequency, the friction coefficient and the wear loss increased, while the friction temperature rose. The friction coefficient, wear loss and friction temperature of bearings modified were much more improved than those of the unmodified bearings. It showed that the liners after modification treatment can improve the tribological properties of self-lubricating spherical plain bearings.

AbstractPeculiarities of radio echo-sounding of mountain glaciers and ice fields between nunataks from terrestrial vehicles and from helicopters are considered in this paper. The possibility of using comparatively high frequencies (of up to 865 MHz) for sounding such glaciers is demonstrated on the basis of experimental data. Results of airborne radio echo-sounding of Svalbard glaciers of various types, dimensions, and regime obtained with the help of the 620 MHz airborne equipment of high resolution are shown. Returns from the glacier bed have been obtained on the majority of glaciers under investigation. The firn regions of ice fields with temperate regimes flowing between nunataks are, mostly, an exception. Depression in the glacier bed with the ice thickness up to 540 m, as well as internal reflecting boundaries have been detected in some glaciers. Ice volumes of glaciers have been determined from the airborne radio echo-sounding data with the use of a parabolic approximation to the cross-section glacier profiles. Good correlational dependence between ice volume and surface area of glaciers has been established and is used to estimate the ice and water resources in Svalbard glaciers.
