The Helkimo Clinical Dysfunction Index (HCDI) is a simple and quick test used to evaluate subjects affected by temporomandibular disorders (TMDs), and its psychometric properties have not been tested. The test evaluates movement, joint function, pain and musculature, providing a quick general overview that could be very useful at different levels of care. For this reason, the aim of this study was to validate the use of the HCDI in a sample of patients with TMD. Methods: The sample consisted of 107 subjects, 60 TMD patients and 47 healthy controls. The study evaluated concurrent validity, inter-rater concordance and predictive values. Results: The HCDI showed moderate to substantial inter-rater concordance among the items and excellent concordance for the total scores. The correlation with other TMD assessment tests was high, the correlation with dizziness was moderate and the correlation with neck pain, headache and overall quality of life was poor. The prediction of TMD showed a sensitivity of 86.67%, a specificity of 68.09% and an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.841. Conclusions: The HCDI is a valid and reliable assessment instrument; its clinimetric properties are adequate, and it has a good ability to discriminate between TMD-affected and TMD-unaffected subjects.

The water around thenear-sea tunnels is supplied infinitely, and mechanical characteristics of the lining and movement joint are inevitably affected by waterproof methods. The research on the mechanical characteristics of the waterproof system is immature. As a case study of the Gongbei tunnel, a scale model was established in this study, and the stratum, pipe curtain, grouting circle, lining, waterproof board, and movement joint were simulated based on the similarity theories. By changing the externally applied water pressure and drainage discharge, the variation and distribution of the water pressure and strain on the lining with the fully wrapped waterproof (FWW) method, the lining with the partially wrapped waterproof (PWW) method, and the movement joint were investigated. Furthermore, several suggestions on the selection of the waterproof method were presented. The results indicate that the PWW method can reduce the water pressure and strain on the lining under the drained state. Under the state of free drainage, the strain on the lining with the PWW method may get a discount of about 30%. More attention could be paid to the waterproof of the movement joints in the construction process, especially the invert. The research results may offer some valuable insights into the waterproof design of similar near-sea tunnels.

A cashless economy is an environment in which money is spent without being physically carried from one place to another. It is meant to be an economic setting where services and goods are paid for via electronic which includes credit cards, bank transfer and Cheques, with no bill or money handed from one person to another. The cashless policy was introduced in January 2012, the robust interest which the policy has generated is surprising considering the effects on the business environment and particularly lives of ordinary Nigerians. The study showed that cashless policy reduces the movement of cash through usage of ATM, fund transfer, mobile banking. It helps financial transactions to be done without delay, it reduces money laundering. The study indicated that there is a very weak positive relationship between cash movement, joint effect of delivery of financial transactions and cashless policy (R= 0.245) and the model is not significant. However, for the relationship between internet availability, cashless policy and cash movement, the relationship between cash movement, the joint effect of internet availability and cashless policy is also weak ( R = 0.295 ). The model is also significant. The policy is faced with challenges ranging from erratic power supply, electronic fraud, lack of adequate sensitization, poor internet services, high rate of illiteracy and computerization. The benefits include but not limited to reduction in revenue leakages, it helps to reduce cash related crimes, the cost of handling cash is reduced to the barest minimum

The Pascal’s law is a part of physics subject which difficult for students to imagine and understand. Therefore, the aim of this work is to help the students to easily understand the Pascal’s law via studying the effect of fluid volume on movement joint mechanisms degree and applying to build a reuse material robotic as effective physics leaning media. The process start with teaching the students about the Pascal’s law. After that, encouraged the students to test the effect of fluid volume to each joint movement. Finally, they can assemble each component to build a movement robot. It was found that the students can understand the Pascal’s law after studied and analyzed the effect of fluid volume on join movement of each part of the robot. This knowledge helped student to build a robot that can successfully move by the Pascal’s law. Thus, this leaning media is an important development leaning skill of students about the Pascal’s law in physics.

The lymphedema is a disfiguring and disabling disease caused by dysfunction of lymphatic system due to damage/block or by lymph overload. Breast Cancer Related Lmyphedema and elephantiasis due to Lymphatic Filariasis are most prevalent world over. This chapter describes the yoga protocols used as a part of integrative medicine treatment, to treat lymphedema. Patients perform yoga in two sessions. It includes warm up, breathing, prolonged exercise with appropriate rests and relaxation. Yoga helps to drain lymph though various mechanisms. Asanas focus on dermal stretch, joint movement, muscle pumps and muscle stretch and pranayamas on lung expansion. Yoga also provides knee strengthening, gait correction and improves shoulder movement. Joint movements and muscle contractions are designed to mimic nodal drainage. Yoga sequence is arranged to achieve a similar role of manual lymph drainage as that of Foldi's Complex Decongestive Therapy. Yoga as a self-care in lymphedema is an effective treatment in endemic communities albeit not supported by randomized controlled trials.

Abstract: The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) in a sample of Ecuadorian older adults in 2018. This is a cross-sectional study, which was conducted with a sample of 143 older adults of both sexes of the “Senderito de Amor” Elderly Home. The evaluation instrument was the Helkimo index, with the following parameters: presence of muscle pain, difficulty in opening and closing movement, joint pain, joint noises, limitation of mouth opening, limitation of lateral movement, and propulsion and deviation of the jaw. Overall, 88.8% of the population had TMDs, with 85.7% in the group of 60–70 years, 81.8% in the group of 71–80 years, 96.7% in those over 80 years, and 81.0% men and 92.1% women. Statistically significant differences were found by age (p = 0.035), but not by sex (p = 0.055). The most frequent signs and symptoms were joint noise (82.5%), followed by deviation of the jaw during opening (60.1%), reduction of the mouth opening (41.3%), difficulty of opening movements and closure (35.0%), reduction in movements of laterality and propulsion (29.4%), joint and muscle pain (24.5%), muscle pain (18.9%), and joint pain (16.8%). In conclusion, there is a high prevalence of temporomandibular disorders in older adults, and the most frequent signs and symptoms were joint sounds and deviation of the jaw during the mouth opening.

ABSTRACTThis article discussed political resilience from society perspective. Drawing on case studies of the youth’s perception of independent political movement in Yogyakarta in 2017, we argued that youth’s opinion and experience had  contibuted to strengthened youth political resilience. Political resilience can not only be seen from state centric aspect but also from the youth as part of local society. The research method used was qualitative descriptive using case studies. Data collections was done through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. This research showed that the youths were optimistic with the existence of Jogja Independent Movement (JOINT). JOINT tried to offered an alternative way with publict involvement as candidate or volunteer. The ideology, vision and mission offered by JOINT were considered as one of the alternatives for young people to actively involved in political practices without taking a part in political parties. However, they argued  that the strategy and management of the movement were not well developed. Furthermore, the volunteers didn’t have wide space to articulated  their needs, because they involved in technical-administrative process only. Although the young people didn’t have the wider space in the substantial matter, they got experience and political practical lessons in JOINT. With their belief, youth were optimist that democratic process could be done with good and clean when we had a good strategy and well preparation. Although there was many volunteers who stopped after the collapse of the movement, the knowledge gained by the volunteers stimulates them to joined a movement, initiated movement and research, and also made a plan political education in the future. Their beliefs, thoughts, and  steps could be seen as a  form of checks and balances in order to responded  political dynamics for better development.ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji ketahanan politik dari sisi masyarakat, dengan mengamati persepsi para pemuda (relawan) sekaligus political action mereka terhadap gerakan independen di Kota Yogyakarta tahun 2017.

The utility of a robot manipulator focuses on the ability to locate its end effector in a position with a determined orientation following a specified trajectory. For this, algorithms were used in order to generate and control the movements joints of robot in a synchronized way. The high-level languages to program robots are based on three types of movement: joint interpolation (MOVEJ), linear interpolation (MOVES), and circular arcs (MOVEC), which are used to develop any type of task. In this work, these three movements are implemented in the industrial controller CompactRIO, as part of the reconditioning process of a robot manipulator of five degrees of freedom (5 DOF) whose controller was obsolete. As a result, it will have an interface in LabVIEW where you can view and modify the basic parameters implemented in the industrial controller. In addition, the results of the validation tests of the joint positions and the end effector of the manipulator will be found.
