Paparan Selektif Penggunaan Fitur Senyap dan Teman Dekat pada Twitter dan Instagram

Social media has become a part of human’s life. Social Networking Sites or SNS which a part of social media allows the users to create their own network. Not only that but users can also choose their friends, what kind of content they want to see, what kind of relationship then want to have, or to keep certain content just for a few people to see through social media. A few features like mute feature to close friends feature are there for users to use on Twitter and Instagram. This research will try to find out how those features are being used by the users and why those features are needed. In depth interview is used to six informants who use the mute and close friend feature on Twitter or Instagram. Selective exposure theory is used to see how someone is more interested in seeing contents that match their believes and interests. It shows that mute feature is used to filter some stuff that they want to see and avoid things they don’t like. The mute feature also useful for keeping the relationship in a good term between the users and other people. Meanwhile, close friends feature is used to maintain the connection users have with a few people where they can share stuff to those people only. Users also think that close friends feature is useful to protect their privacy.

PERSEPSI SISWA TERHADAP PELAKSANAAN LAYANAN BIMBINGAN KELOMPOK DI SMA NEGERI 1 MUARO JAMBI

Student’s perception of implementations of group guidance service which consist of planning, implementing, evaluating and follow up action is one related entity that must be implemented optimally in conseling guidance program. The purpose of group guidance service are to help individuals attaining some information and to take decision based on the student’s insight and experience in daily life. The aim of this research is to know student’s perception of group guidance service in SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. This study uses a survey method. The data collection of this study is a questionnaire which refers to the criteria of group guidance. This study involves 40 students as the purposive sampling. The result show that students perception of group guidance service in class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi is categorized in a good term. The average score is around 78,47%. For each indicator, it consists of 85,63% for planning group guidance service, 72,75% for implementing group guidance service, 75,50% for evaluating group guidance service, and 80% for follow up action.Keywords: Perceptions, Group Guidance Service

Design of a compact UWB antenna with a partial ground plane on epoxy woven glass material

A compact ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna is presented in this paper with a partial ground plane on epoxy woven glass material. The study is discussed to comprehend the effects of various design parameters with explicit parametric analyses. The overall antenna dimension is 0.22×0.26×0.016 λ. A prototype is made on epoxide woven glass fabric dielectric material of 1.6 mm thickness. The measured results point out that the reported antenna belongs to a wide bandwidth comprehending from 3 GHz to more than 11 GHz with VSWR<2. It has a peak gain of 5.52 dBi, where 3.98 dBi is the average gain. Nearly omnidirectional radiation patterns are observed within the operating frequency bands. A good term exists between simulation and measurement results, which lead the reported antenna to be an appropriate candidate for UWB applications.

Analisis dan Perbaikan Layanan Hotel Menggunakan Servqual dan Diagram Kartesius (Studi Kasus di Hotel Kombokarno)

The purposes of this research is to analyze and suggest a service quality improvement in Kombokarno Hotel. This research used ServQual dimension variables that consist of tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy as a dimensions of service quality. It used 144 guests of Kombokarno Hotel as a sample for the research. The result of the collected data then be tested based on it’s validation and reliability by using SPSS 16.0 software. The result of data processing shows the validity of each question variable in the questionnaire. Then the data be analyzed using ServQual method to see the Gap between hope and reality. Furthermore it is processed by Kartesius diagram to see what performance that need to be improved. The result of the researched shows that the cleanness of the hotel always in good term, the electronic utilities (lamp, AC, TV, etc), are functioned well, and the hotel’s building ‘good look’ became the most priority to improve the performance of service quality in the hotel.

KOMPETENSI SOSIAL GURU BK/KONSELOR SEKOLAH (STUDI DESKRIPTIF DI SMA NEGERI KOTA PADANG)

social competence is one’s capability in communicating and intreraction in order to create good coordination with theenvirontment. The school counselors are expected to have a good term with the school environment whether it is inside or outside the school. However, based on the pre-observation, this is not really applicable. There are no good cooperation between the school counselors and the school environment. This study was conducted to describe the social competence of school counselors based on internal collaboration in the work place, the role in the organization and guidance activity and inter-professional collaboration. This study was categorized as quantitative-descriptive research. The subject of 71 school counselors at Senior High School in Padang with bachelor degree title in guidance and counseling major. The result of the study revealed that the social competence of the school counselors was considered good. Keyword: social competence, guidace and counseling teacher/school counselor
