In India dairying is identified as a tool for social and financial development. The country’s milk deliver comes from millions of small manufacturers, dispersed during our rural areas. Dairy business to provide more number of employment and income generation in India and plays an important role in Indian economy. The dairy business has more number of employments, especially commercial aspects of business. Commercial customers play important role supplying milk and milk products to customers. This paper brings to purchase preference, satisfaction and expectation of commercial customers. 250 samples collected from tea shops, cycle vendors, bakery and restaurant in Salem district. It concludes most of the commercial customers treat as supportive income generate activity, subsequently commercial customers come forward to engage the business as main stream.

The study aimed to investigate the role of CSR practices on economic sustainable performance, and it applied stakeholder theory. Further, the framework has been developed based on previous research. A quantitative method has been chosen for the research, with a random convenience technique. The sample of the study is small manufacturers in Tunisia, and 53 questionnaires have been analyzed. The findings have provided that socially responsible practices have not effected on enterprises’ economic sustainable performance. However, the study has provided further explanations, discussion, and a direction for future research.

Intense competition, demanding customers, and shortening product life cycles are prompting small- and medium-sized enterprises to invest in advanced manufacturing technologies (AMTs). Small manufacturers often depend on large manufacturers for orders and so require design as well as manufacturing flexibility on their part. One way of achieving the flexibility is through adoption of AMTs. The decision to invest in AMT is a major decision and thus requires proper consideration to all the aspects of the implementation process before a final commitment is made. Although the technical capabilities of AMTs are well proven, neither practitioner nor academics agree upon a framework for its successful implementation. Using Churchill’s model (Steps 1 and 2) and drawing a link from the available literature, a theoretical framework is developed for the successful implementation of AMTs in small- and medium-sized enterprises. Three implementation phases—namely, planning, preimplementation, and postimplementation—with 14 major issues have been developed; 52 constituent factors have been identified from these issues through literature review and interviews with industry professionals.

In recent years, sensor technology and data mining capabilities have advanced greatly, allowing advanced manufacturing enterprises to closely monitor their manufacturing operations. At the same time, a thriving market has developed for low cost consumer level sensors and processors. A proliferation of low cost sensing hardware, combined with the availability of free and open source software for performing data analytics, provides a new opportunity for smaller manufacturers. Yet, these tools have not been investigated deeply in the manufacturing world. In this work, we use a combination of low cost sensing hardware and free and open source software to monitor a milling machine operation. We demonstrate that the data collected from these sensors can be used to reliably determine the operating condition of the machine. These techniques will be very valuable for small manufacturers, to determine key factors such as machine utilization, or to detect catastrophic failures early during machining.
