Strong glass formers with a low fragility are highly sought-after because of the technological importance of vitrification. In the case of organic molecules and polymers, the lowest fragility values have been reported for single-component materials. Here, we establish that mixing of organic molecules can result in a marked reduction in fragility. Individual bay-substituted perylene derivatives display a high fragility of more than 70. Instead, slowly cooled perylene mixtures with more than three components undergo a liquid-liquid transition and turn into a strong glass former. Octonary perylene mixtures display a fragility of 13 ± 2, which not only is a record low value for organic molecules but also lies below values reported for the strongest known inorganic glass formers. Our work opens an avenue for the design of ultrastrong organic glass formers, which can be anticipated to find use in pharmaceutical science and organic electronics.

Backgrround: Pharmaceutical science is an important area in drug discovery and therapies. The research output generated from pharmaceutical sciences research is critical for psychological, physical, and social wellbeing. This study was carried out to analyze Qatar's quantity and quality of pharmaceutical sciences-related research and map out a national research roadmap and priority areas. Materials and Methods: A systematic search was carried out in the Web of Science, Scopus, Pub Med, and Google Scholar databases using the search terms “Pharmaceutical Science,” “Pharmaceutical Chemistry,” “Medicinal Chemistry,” “Pharmacology,” “Pharmaceutics,” “Pharmacokinetics,” “Physiology,” “Pharmaceutical Science research,” “Study,” other relevant terms related to Pharmaceutical Sciences field and “Qatar.”The search covered eight years. The data extracted included the title, keywords, publication date, authors, publishing journal, journal ranking, impact factor, type of article, number of citations, the sum of citations, H-index, etc. Results: The search yielded123 studies. Most were original articles (n=100, 81.3%), published in 2019 (n=27, 22.0%), applied research (n=68, 55.3%),indexed in Web of Science (n=120, 97.6%),published under the subject of pharmacology (n=43, 42.6%), focused on cancer (n=46, 37.4%)and produced by five authors (n=19, 18.8%) and more than eight authors (n=19, 18.8%). Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) was the main collaborator (n=16, 13.0%). Fifty-four (43.9%) of the articles were published in journals ranked as Q1. Conclusions: A total of 123 articles were published, with an average annual growth rate of 6.7% in publications and 946 citations. A high number of publications were in Q1 and Q2 journals. The research focus (e.g., cancer and cardiovascular) was established according to the country’s research roadmap and priority areas.

Objective: The study aimed to examine if an active learning approach used in a pharmaceutical science laboratory would enhance pharmacy students’ learning of foundation pharmaceutical science knowledge when conducting an experiment. Method: A pre-post-test study design was used to collect data from third-year undergraduate pharmacy students with two approaches to performing an experiment (active learning, and traditional). Results: Assessment data from 95 students (73% response rate) were analysed quantitatively and qualitatively. The active learning approach to performing an experiment resulted in significantly higher (p<0.001) scores compared to the traditional approach for knowledge about the variables to be measured (3.82 versus 2.72 for active and traditional, respectively) and measurement method (3.31 versus 2.85 for active and traditional, respectively). A thematic analysis identified ‘planning’ as unique to the post-test responses for the active learning session. Conclusion: The authors concluded that the laboratory session featuring active learning had a greater impact on student learning than the traditional experiment method.

Rasashastra- A pharmaceutical science has following characteristic attributes i.e. instant effectiveness, re-quirement of very small doses and extensive therapeutic utility irrespective of statutory variation. Aims – To know the variety of formulation for SARS CoV-2 and also know the kind of disinfectant or sanitizer of Rasa medicine. Material and Method - Rasa medicine with its huge importance on treating chronic diseases also beneficiary in making disinfectant. Critical review of Rasashastra treatises give some beneficiary for-mulation that can be used in this pandemic. Result – List of herbo-mineral formulation from different Rasashastra treatises are compiled. This formulation plays very important role in treating communicable disease from stopping the spread of virus to treat the disease and also symptomatic treatment with particular medicine. Conclusion - In present time a big threat for human civilization is come in the form of corona ep-idemic and become pandemic. This is one of the challenges towards whole world that how to combat with the situation. Presently when no one knows the treatment, Ayurveda plays a very important role with its huge Ayurvedic formulations and unique strategy of treatment protocol. A Pharmaceutical science “Rasashastra” plays a very indispensable role because of wide range of Ayurvedic formulations described in Rasashastra treatises along with wide therapeutic utility.

Pharmaceutical science is an experimental subject involving many disciplines. As there are different kinds of risky factors, more and more attentions have been paid to the safety management of pharmaceutical laboratories. The article analyzes the deficiency of current safety management of pharmaceutical laboratories in domestic universities, draws on the EH&S management model of universities in developed countries and explores measures to construct an EH&S management system for pharmaceutical laboratories in domestic universities.
