Abstract Background Family doctor contract services (FDCS) began in China in 2016. Shenzhen, one of the most developed cities in China, also implemented a family doctor (FD) policy in 2017. The objectives of this study were to identify the impact of awareness of FDCS and signing service contracts with FDs on utilization of community health care centers (CHCs). Methods Cross-sectional secondary data based on residents living in Luohu district was used for analysis. Descriptive analysis was conducted to identify utilization of CHCs by awareness of FDCS and signing service contracts with FDs, respectively. Linear probability models (LPM) were used to determine the association of utilization of CHCs with awareness of FDCS and signing service contracts with FDs, respectively. Results Among 1205 adults included in the analysis, 27 % of the participants knew about the FDCS, 5 % signed with FD, and 20 % had chronic disease. Both awareness of the FDCS and signing service contracts with FDs significantly increased the probability of using CHCs as a first choice. Conclusions This study provided evidence that both awareness of FDCS and signing service contracts with FDs had a positive impact on utilization of primary health care services at the community level. More interventions to improve awareness of FDCS are needed to increase the utilization of primary health care services.

Abstract Background: Family doctor contracted services (FDCS) began in China in 2016. Shenzhen, one of the most developed cities in China, implemented a family doctor (FD) policy in 2017. The objectives of this study were to identify the impact of the awareness of the FD and signing with a FD on health care seeking behavior, as well as the impact of chronic disease status on the awareness of FDs and signing with a FD. Methods: Cross-sectional secondary data based on residents living in Luohu district was used for analysis. Linear probability models (LPM) were used to determine the relationship between willingness to use community health care centers (CHCs) and awareness of the FDCS, as well as the association between willingness to use CHCs and signing with a FD. LPM was also used to estimate the association between chronic disease status and awareness of the FDCS, as well as the association between chronic disease status and signing with a FD.Results: Among 1205 adults included in analysis, 27% of the participants knew the FDCS, 5% signed with FD, and 20% had chronic disease. Both awareness of the FDCS and signing with a FD significantly increased the probability of using CHCs. The results indicated that participants with chronic disease were more likely to be aware of the FDCS and sign with a FD.Conclusions: Consequently, this study provided evidence that awareness of FDCS and signing with a FD had positive impact on utilization of primary health care services in the at community level. Also, individuals with chronic disease tend to use FDCS. More interventions to improve awareness of FDCS can help to increase the utilization of primary health care services.

Epilepsy is a neurological disorder characterized by epileptic seizures inside the human brain. An authentic localization of epileptogenic area will help the clinicians for a successful epilepsy surgery. The epileptogenic area can be characterized by the focal electroencephalogram (EEG) signals. Hence, in this article, a bispectrum-based approach is implemented to characterize the focal EEG signals. The highest twenty-five magnitudes of bispectrum from the principal domain are used as features. The locality sensitive discriminant analysis (LSDA), data reduction technique, is implemented to reduce the number of attributes. The ranked LSDA attributes are input to the support vector machine (SVM) classifier yielding 96.2% classification accuracy using the entire Bern Barcelona EEG database. Hence, the proposed technique can be employed to confirm the epileptogenic area for successful epilepsy surgery and can be employed in the community health care centers and hospitals.

The purpose of this study is to analyze and explain the effects of transformational leadership, emotionalintelligence role conflict on employees performance and job satisfaction in the community health care centers inMakassar. Population in this study that the entire staff working in community health care centers in the city ofMakassar, which amounted to 513 officers and scattered or work at 14 community health care centers.Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique with the formulations slovin thus obtained a sample of 225employees, results of data analysis structural equation modeling using AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structures)software provides evidence that the transformational leadership, emotional intelligence and role conflictsignificant effect on employees performance, transformational leadership and employees performancesignificant effect on job satisfaction, emotional intelligence and role conflict is not significant on jobsatisfaction. Then the last causality provides evidence that the mediating role of employee performance is notproved to analyze the effect of transformational leadership, emotional intelligence and role conflict on jobsatisfaction.
