The basic aims of this paper are: firstly, to create a relatively simple chaotic international tourism expenditure growth model that is capable of generating stable equilibria, cycles, or chaos; and secondly, to set up a relatively simple chaotic international tourism receipts growth model. This paper confirms stable growth of the international tourism receipts and expenditures in high-income countries, low & middle-income countries, lower-middle-income countries, middle-income countries, and upper-middle-income countries in the period 1995-2018.

Using an R&D-based growth model with endogenous location choices and movement of tourists, we investigate the effect that a grandfathered emission permit and an airfare including alien tax have on international tourism. We find that improved environmental quality, achieved by the restricted allocation of grandfathered permits, leads to tourism-led growth. That is, both the number of tourists and the tourism growth rate increase. By contrast, we find that worsened environmental quality, caused by generous allocation of grandfathered permits and reduced airfares including alien tax, leads to the creation of pollution havens because the policy prompts polluting firms to relocate to the area with the respective regulations. Our findings imply sustainable tourism can be achieved when the respective environmental and tourism policies are implemented.

International tourism receipts are expenditures by international inbound visitors. These receipts include payments to national carriers for international transport. The basic aims of this paper are: firstly, to create a relatively simple chaotic receipts growth model that is capable of generating stable equilibria, cycles, or chaos, and secondly, to analyze the world receipts growth stability in the period 1995-2018. This paper confirms the existence of the stable growth path of the world receipts in the observed period.

Using the autoregression models, the paper considers movement of agricultural population. Irregular movement of agricultural population can be analyzed within the formal framework of the chaotic growth model. The basic aims of this paper are: firstly, to set up a chaotic growth model of agricultural population; and secondly, to analyze the stability of agricultural population movement according to the presented logistic growth model in the world and eight group of countries in the period 1967-1997.

The basic aims of this paper are: firstly, to create the simple chaotic gold price growth model that is capable of generating stable equilibria, cycles, or chaos; secondly, to analyze the local stability of gold price in the period 2001-2015; and thirdly, to discover the equilibrium gold price with Elliott wave logic in the observed period. This paper confirms the existence of the stable convergent fluctuations of the gold price in the observed period. Also, the golden ratio can be used to define the equilibrium gold price in the presented chaotic model.
