Sea and air passenger transportation offer significant potential with regards to the support the mobility/movement of people and passengers in all corners of the country, each of which has different characters in terms of the number of transportation, travel time, tariff and service level. Discussing services, in assisting the smooth process of sea and air transportation, passenger service staff (stewardesses and stewards) are needed. The purpose of this study is to identify and evaluate the importance of these passenger service staff in sea transportation and air transportation. Keywords: Importance, Stewardess, Sea Transport

This research aims to examine the interest of students majoring in Air Transportation Management to become entrepreneurs in the air transport service industry. The hypothesis of this study discusses whether students already have an understanding of self-knowledge, entrepreneurship character, and interest in students majoring in transportation management to become entrepreneurs in the air transportation services industry. Based on the self-recognition test questionnaire distributed to 84 students, it was found that there were 48 students who were very strong in knowing and evaluating themselves. There are 30 students who are strong in knowing and evaluating themselves. There are 6 students who are sufficient to know and assess themselves. Based on the entrepreneurships character test, the results of the analysis note that there are 65 students who have entrepreneurships character and there are 19 students who do not have entrepreneurships character. Based on the test in the field of air transportation service business that is of interest to students, it is found that there are 16 students who, if they have graduated, are interested in becoming entrepreneurs in the cargo business. There are 35 students who, if they have graduated, are interested in becoming entrepreneurs in the field of tour and travel. There are 16 students who, if they have graduated, are interested in becoming entrepreneurs in the catering business. There are 10 students who, if they have graduated, are interested in becoming entrepreneurs in the field of ground handling business. There are 7 students who, if they have graduated, are interested in becoming entrepreneurs in other fields and working in the aviation industry.

So far, Cargo transportation ran as well as there is no spesific problem, be cause commercial air transportation activity and special transportation company have spescial market segment clear regulation. If we see on Government no 40 tahn 1995 about air transportation that has been changed with government regulation no 3 th 2000 about air transportation in point 33 ayat 1 dan 3 that the tariff consist of passangers tariff and cargo tariff. cargo tariff is divided to be two tariff, there is cargo tariff International scheduled commercial transportation and domestic scheduled commercial transportation no scheduled transportation's price is based on agrement between service customer and transportation service provider. In Ministry of transportation’s regulation No. KM 25 Tahun 2008 about provider air transportation point 50 ayat 1, special domestic cargo air transpotation can be done schedully or not, meaning in this government regulation no prohibit limitation for commercial air transportation cargo.

As global air travel expands rapidly to meet demand generated by economic growth, it is essential to continue to improve the efficiency of air transportation to reduce its carbon emissions and address concerns about climate change. Future transports must be ‘cleaner’ and designed to include technologies that will continue to lower engine emissions and reduce community noise. The use of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) will be critical to enable the design of these new concepts. In general, the ability to simulate aerodynamic and reactive flows using CFD has progressed rapidly during the past several decades and has fundamentally changed the aerospace design process. Advanced simulation capabilities not only enable reductions in ground-based and flight-testing requirements, but also provide added physical insight, and enable superior designs at reduced cost and risk. In spite of considerable success, reliable use of CFD has remained confined to a small region of the operating envelope due, in part, to the inability of current methods to reliably predict turbulent, separated flows. Fortunately, the advent of much more powerful computing platforms provides an opportunity to overcome a number of these challenges. This paper summarizes the findings and recommendations from a recent NASA-funded study that provides a vision for CFD in the year 2030, including an assessment of critical technology gaps and needed development, and identifies the key CFD technology advancements that will enable the design and development of much cleaner aircraft in the future.

According to the strategic innovation paradigm, service companies have their innovative efforts guided by market needs, so customer demand is crucial to successful innovation. However, the service literature about air transportation has been focusing on the evaluation of service quality delivered instead of the identification of market demands. This study applied the Hierarchical Model of air transportation service quality evaluation adapted to identify customer’ expectations in a Brazilian domestic airport. The results indicate that customers have higher expectations regarding airline employees’ conduct and expertise, which suggests areas where investments should be prioritized in order to optimize efforts on service innovation.

The article is aimed at analyzing the legal means of protecting the interests of air transportation service recipients. The main emphasis will be placed on the analysis of the Warsaw Convention and the Montreal Convention provisions reflecting the freedom-of-contract doctrine since the air travel compensation procedure is not regulated by the national Russian legislation. As a result of the analysis, the conclusion was made that individuals, for example, in the case of harm causation, have the right to choose according to the law of which country the compensation should be paid to them. Separately, it was established that the various degrees of liability of air carriers, prescribed in the rules of airlines, not only failed to contribute to fair compensation for harm to the life and health of a passenger but, on the contrary, made for unjust enrichment on both sides. In this regard, the authors came to the conclusion that it is necessary to bring the procedure of compensation for harm caused during air transportation to uniform standards of the transportation rules for all international airlines. In this regard, the authors substantiate the need to introduce the elements of self-regulation of transportation activities and mandatory insurance of carrier liabilities. Besides, proposals were made to fill the gaps in the current air transport legislation, for example, regarding the regulation of a long-term agreement on the organization of systematic air transportation, aircraft charter contracts, and contracts for the performance of aviation work which is important for the country's economy

Tourism is one of industries that is growing quite rapidly and cannot be separated from the roles of other sectors. One of those sectors is transportation. Air transportation service, as the most important transportation, needs assistance from airport that has one of tourism elements which is accessibility. One of the airports in Indonesia, which is Husein Sastranegara Bandung airport, always faces increase in the number of passengers in every year which cause over capacity. It makes PT Angkasa Pura II, as the maintainer of the airport, receive many complaints from the passengers. Those complaints will affect the passengers’ satisfaction. In order to decrease service failure, the airport management applies service recovery in the form of actions, efforts, or process to increase passengers satisfaction. In this study, service recovery that consists of procedural justice, interactive justice and outcome justice. In the other hand, passengers satisfaction which is obtained from the comparison result between the performance perceived by the passengers (perceived) and the passengers’ expectation (expected). The population of respondents in this study is 100 passengers who have ever made complaints and received service recovery at Husein Sastranegara airport. The method used in this study is descriptive- explanatory method with less than a year length of research (cross sectional method). The data analysis and hypothesis test technique used in this study is multiple linear regression. The purposes of this study are to gain and/or get the result about passengers satisfaction towards service recovery. The result of this study shows that the entire dimension of service recovery has significant influence towards passengers satisfaction.
