Selection of Coal Transportation Company Based on Fuzzy SWARA-COPRAS Approach

Background: Coal production and marketing enterprises can significantly reduce transportation costs and improve their competitiveness by choosing appropriate road transportation companies. Methods: Based on this, a trapezoidal fuzzy SWARA-COPRAS method is proposed to select coal transportation companies. The trapezoidal fuzzy SWARA method is used to determine the index weight of coal transportation companies. The ranking of coal transportation companies is determined using the trapezoidal fuzzy COPRAS method. Results: Taking a coal production and marketing enterprise in Hubei, China as an example, the application of the trapezoidal fuzzy SWARA-COPRAS method is illustrated, and the coal transportation companies are sorted and analyzed for sensitivity. Conclusions: Compared with the results of other methods, the effectiveness and practicability of the trapezoidal fuzzy SWARA-COPRAS method are verified.

This study aims to determine that there are still many events that are still require the liability from the commercial air transportation company, both from the carrier company and those who are related to the carrier, such as flight delays (flight delay) either caused by weather factors or internal factors from the carrier company, the occurrence of negligence from the transport officer which causes the loss of goods owned by passengers, or because of there is an event for which the reason is unknown so that the aircraft experiences interference during the flight, from the results of this research it can be seen that the carrier operating the aircraft is obliged to be responsible for losses against:a. passengers who died, disability or injury;b. lost or damaged of the cabin baggage;c. lost, destroyed, or damaged of the checked baggage;d. lost, destroyed, or damaged of the cargo;e. delay in air transportation; andf. losses suffered by third partiesas well as who are the parties involved, the requirements that must be fulfilled and how the rights and the obligations of the parties are fulfilled, as well as other provisions in its implementation if a passenger's goods are lost or damaged and provide a description of its protection.Keywords : Liability, Theft of Goods, Aircraft Passengers, Kualanamu International Airport.

Transportation route optimization based on heuristic algorithm

With the rapid development of Internet technology, many enterprises are committed to finding the best solution in transportation organization and solving the vehicle distribution routing problem. Firstly, this paper introduces the current situation of transportation organization of Sichuan Yida Feiniu Transportation Company, and analyzes the main problems of the company. Secondly, through the prediction of freight volume, prepare the truck vehicle operation plan and optimize the company’s transportation organization and production plan. Finally, the heuristic algorithm is used to establish a mixed integer programming mathematical model to optimize the pooled vehicle distribution path problem and the vehicle distribution path with time window. In terms of centralized vehicle distribution, combined with the actual situation of Sichuan Yida Feiniu Transportation Company, an example is analyzed, the shortest total path is obtained, and the goal of shortest vehicle travel distance is realized. Through the optimization of the company’s transportation organization, this paper is of great significance to improve the company’s transportation organization to a certain extent.

A NEW HYBRID FUZZY PSI-PIPRECIA-COCOSO MCDM BASED APPROACH TO SOLVING THE TRANSPORTATION COMPANY SELECTION PROBLEM

Nowadays, customers are not only interested in the quality of products, but they also want to have these products in a timely manner. The managers of an organization are faced with two problems when the distribution of products is in question, namely: (1) customers are usually geographically dispersed and (2) transportation should be performed in a cost-effective way. Although managers may have a significant experience and formal knowledge, decisions connected with the selection of an appropriate transportation company may very often be biased. For the purpose of avoiding making the inadequate decisions that might harm the operation of the organization, the application of a hybrid MCDM model is proposed in this paper. The proposed model consists of three fuzzy MCDM methods, including: the PIPRECIA, the PSI, and the CoCoSo methods. The fuzzy-PIPRECIA method is used to achieve the subjective weights of criteria, whereas the fuzzy-PSI method is used to obtain the objective weights of criteria. Fuzzy-CoCoSo is utilized to rank alternative transportation companies according to their performances. The possibilities of the proposed hybrid model are tested on a real case study pointed at the selection of an appropriate company for the transportation of ready-garments to retailers in Turkey.
