<p><em>This paper focuses on several aspects of the relationship between families of students with multiple disabilities and the educational process. Quality-based methodology was used for the research due to a lack of sufficient theoretical background in this area. The objective of the paper was to elucidate the significance of education of students with multiple disabilities for their families and to describe the process of cooperation between these families and the teachers. This paper uses data and outputs from a qualitative analysis of education of students with severe multiple disabilities (semi-structured interviews with 45 teachers of students with multiple disabilities, observation of 4 students in the educational process and an analysis of 30 samples of educational documents using open, axial and selective coding). The resulting theory was combined with the results of a survey focused on the cooperation between the families and the teachers in order to gain a saturated data sample. This survey used semi-structured interviews with 5 teachers of students with multiple disabilities. The data from these interviews were analysed by means of open coding, compared with the outputs of the previous research and a theoretical model for educational intervention with the families of students with multiple disabilities was constructed and described. This model offers ideas for educational practice as well as further research.</em></p>

The aim of this study was to explore father’s involvement in rearing a child with profound intellectual and multiple disabilities (PIMD). In-depth, semi-structured interviews were conducted with seven fathers in Japan, and the data were analyzed using a qualitative inductive method. The relationship between the parents, in the context of childrearing, influenced father’s involvement with their child with PIMD. Fathers improved their self-confidence in childrearing by discussing and sharing about their child’s conditions and caregiving approaches with their spouse. Moreover, fathers’ experience of being acknowledged and entrusted by their spouse with childrearing motivated and enhanced their involvement. On the contrary, fathers struggled with concerns regarding their family’s future, the balance between childrearing and work, and their own health status. The current findings contribute to nurses’ understanding of father’s involvement in childrearing a child with PIMD and the development of support focusing on the parental dyadic relationship and coparenting behavior.

This study aims to analyze the dynamic process of coopetition between an established organization and startups to develop innovation. We conducted an exploratory, qualitative study, based on Grounded Theory. The Grounded Theory allows the development of a theory emerging from data that is simultaneously collected and analyzed, determining the categories to observe the core questions. It can be divided into two stages: initial coding (open and axial coding) and focused coding. In the open coding, are defined categories and subcategories that are reviewed in the axial coding to generate more precise explanations? Along with the focused coding, the data organized from initial coding is categorized for an analytical understanding of the phenomena. In the first stage, we conducted eight semi-structured interviews with a homogeneous sample. An interview guide addressing coopetition factors was developed. As a result, we developed a framework from the theoretical background. This framework was evaluated by three executives and professors with experience in coopetition between large corporations and startups. The snowball technique was used to recruit the participants. Our findings reveal that different factors – market increase, strategic alignment, and technological alignment – are associated. We observed that coopetition not only helps in developing new markets but also in understanding the user demands of these markets. Thus, coopetition is an accelerator of innovation, since it allows the identification of the resource complementarity and technological scale gains.

A hypothetical artwork is an artwork that exists only as a fictional creation of an art theorist. The explicatory powers of such hypothetical artworks are mainly used by an art theorist to reflect on an art theoretical issue under consideration. Such an artwork has an intriguing and paradoxical nature. On the one hand, it is only fictitious, but, on the other hand, it tries to function as a real token, persuading the reader to trust it as if it were a real artwork. Even though this kind of argumentation can be deceiving, as it presents a statement of real art on the basis of fiction, it has some important explicatory abilities that can be put to good usein the art educational process. In this case, the construction of the hypothetical artwork is handled as the construction of a theoretical model. The author calls such theoretical construction the method of hypothetical artwork modelling, and its result the hypothetical artwork model. Such a hypothetical artwork model can be usefully employed when one wishesto encourage the student to become fictionally involved in the process of creation of an artwork, thus giving him or her more personal experience of problems that accompany the process of creating a real artwork. When such hypothetical experience is gained, the student can more efficiently learn about the considered art issue. In the paper, the authordemonstrates how the explicatory powers of the method of hypothetical artwork modelling can be put into educational practice regarding an issue taken from colour theory (i.e., the primary colours fallacy).

We consider a set of educational technologies that improve the process of developing competence in the field of social-project activities. It is noted that the teacher becomes a navigator, and students are active designers of their educational trajectory, active participants in the educational process, as well as creators of social projects that guarantee the solution of significant human and social problems. We show the relationship between the introduction of social innovations and the development of competence in social-project activities, as well as the applied educational technologies. Various understandings of the term “educational technologies” in modern foreign studies are considered. Based on the method of analysis of research positions, an understanding of educational technologies as a conceptual tool for improving educational practice is given. The essence and features of the organization of the most effective educational technologies for the development of components of social-project competence in students are analyzed. The complex and three groups of educational technologies that influence the development of competence in the field of social-project activities among students are identified: traditional didactic technologies (lectures, seminars, etc.), integral didactic technologies (case analysis, project training, portfolio, etc.), innovative didactic technologies (flipped learning, digital technologies, etc.). It is established that it is the integrated implementation of educational technologies in Bachelor's and Master's programmes of social orientation that allows us to qualitatively improve not only educational, but also positively change social practice, influence their joint result.

The article is devoted to the study of the relevance of the competencies of graduates of engineering specialties in the labour market. The authors consider higher schools of Russia and America. Schools are guided in training of engineers on deep and actual knowledge, skills in the professional sphere, but forget about not less important, fl exible (soft) skills which are accepted to call «soft skills». The authors consider the quality of education of students in connection with its competitiveness and the possibility of employment in the labour market, the relationship between education and employment, the relationship of assessments and the actual competencies of the specialist. The authors show that the key indicators of the eff ectiveness of higher education and the quality of training is the degree of orientation of educational programs on the labour market. Labour market orientation is realized through interaction between education and employers and is formalized in the form of criteria and requirements for graduates in terms of their current practical suitability for employment. The introduction of new Federal educational standards poses the problem of developing such curricula, the implementation of which will allow graduates to form the necessary competence for employers. This suggests the need to introduce an additional system of assessing the qualifi cations of young professionals in the educational process of higher education, helping to determine the degree of their readiness to work in the profession and the initial orientation of University curricula to maximize this readiness. The system of professional standards acts as a basis, which helps to build training in accordance with the production requirements and determine the quality of this training.
