Sports can promote physical and mental health and the development of personality. How to build a balanced development evaluation system for sports and find a quality education suitable for the school are particularly important. In this article, we use edge computing technology to design a balanced development framework for sports. The framework will guide students to actively participate in physical exercise and develop sports to a higher, more comprehensive level. Then, the equilibrium game model is used to analyse the evaluation system of the balanced development of college sports. The research results show that the university sports balanced development evaluation system has good application prospects. The empirical analysis results verify its accuracy and reliability.

This paper presents, within the framework of the Degree in Sociology of the University of A Coruña (Spain), an evaluation system based on a methodological triangulation that has enabled an in-depth analysis of the different dimensions of the Degree Practicum. Namely, we have achieved some conclusions about: (a) the students' perception of the adequacy between the Practicum, the Degree and the "sociological activity" of the internship centers; (b) the students’ evaluation of skills, learning results and the "sociological vocation" of the centers; and (c) the students’ appraisal of features of the Practicum related to personal experience. From these evidences, improvement measures of this particular subject are illustrated. Such measures may be of interest within the scope of the academic management of the Degrees in Sociology.

AbstractAlthough a great deal of attention has been paid to entrepreneurship education, only a few studies have analysed the impact of extra-curricular entrepreneurial activities on students’ entrepreneurial intention. The aim of this study is to fill this gap by exploring the role played by Student-Led Entrepreneurial Organizations (SLEOs) in shaping the entrepreneurial intention of their members. The analysis is based on a survey that was conducted in 2016 by one of the largest SLEOs in the world: the Junior Enterprises Europe (JEE). The main result of the empirical analysis is that the more time students spent on JEE and the higher the number of events students attended, the greater their entrepreneurial intention was. It has been found that other important drivers also increase students’ entrepreneurial intention, that is, the Science and Technology field of study and the knowledge of more than two foreign languages. These results confirm that SLEOs are able to foster students’ entrepreneurial intention. The findings provide several theoretical, practical and public policy implications. SLEOs are encouraged to enhance their visibility and lobbying potential in order to be recognized more as drivers of student entrepreneurship. In addition, it is advisable for universities and policy makers to support SLEOs by fostering their interactions with other actors operating in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, who promote entrepreneurship and technology transfer activities. Lastly, this paper advises policy makers to assist SLEOs’ activities inside and outside the university context.

The Office for the Study of Aging (OSA) at the University of South Carolina was established in 1988 in conjunction with the founding of the South Carolina Alzheimer’s Disease Registry. Over the last 25 years, the Office for the Study of Aging has furthered its purpose through the development of research and programs for all of South Carolina’s aging population. Examples include the Placemat Strength Training Program, the Dementia Dialogues education program, and the South Carolina Vulnerable Adult Guardian ad Litem program. The work of the office is sustained through a unique government–university–community partnership that supports innovative work and provides direct lines for dissemination, translation, and implementation of programs. The office’s efforts have resulted in two state laws involving aging and older adults as well as recognition through awards and publications. The Office provides a partnership model that offers a dissemination and translation pipeline for programs to be developed, piloted, revised, and enacted into policy.

Rapid industrial development has caused a series of environmental problems, which is not conducive to sustainable development of society as a whole. It is necessary to build a sustainable development evaluation system. Most of the existing literature has evaluated corporate sustainable performance from the economy, environment and society on the basis of triple bottom lines. Considering the research gap and the practice need, an evaluation system is established from four dimensions, referred to as economy, society, environment and responsibility management, and 29 indicators are designed to measure these four dimensions. Twenty seven listed Chinese mining corporations are selected as research samples, and the entropy-weight-based Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method is applied to calculate indicators’ weights. Results show that the four dimensions of sustainable performance weights from high to low are society, environment, economy, and management process.

During the university course the future legal psychologists have to master a wide range of professional competencies, among them are those that can be classified as management, with an emphasis on project making competencies and their relationship with the project making professional culture. The article presents the results of students' self-evaluation competencies. This research was a part of the monitoring of learning outcomes in a number of disciplines in the Faculty of Legal Psychology, Moscow State University of Psychology and Education. The author raises the problem of defining the concepts of "project culture" and "psychological culture of project making", which still do not have a clear definition inspite of the intensive development of the socio-cultural, innovative and other forms of project making. For legal psychologists project making culture involves the acquisition of psychologically correct approaches to the development, evaluation, promotion and institutionalization of the ideas, so they can provide the solution of professional problems.

The current study aimed to identify the extent to which the academic outcomes of the programs of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Jordan conform to the American accreditation standards "ABET". To achieve the study objective, the qualitative method was followed and three tools were used: standardized open-ended interviews, participant observation, and analysis of documents collected from the field. Major findings revealed that engineering departments which were granted accreditation seek to achieve the academic outcomes of the programs that emanate from the international accreditation standards of ABET by a periodic continuous comprehensive evaluation system of all activities of the teaching process. Internal accreditation committees are formed in the engineering departments consisting of academic staff, administrative professionals and specialists with experience in monitoring and evaluation. The Faculty of Engineering has benefited from achieving the minimum standards of accreditation in improving the quality of learning outcomes and obtaining accredited university degrees similar to any degree in an accredited American university.  The engineering departments also seek to improve the infrastructure and provision of equipment appropriate to the standards through obtaining institutional support. Despite the existence of some obstacles and challenges facing the engineering departments, they have benefited from accreditation. It was recommended to apply accreditation standards for all academic majors in universities for their importance for students, faculty members and the profession. Based on the welfare pluralism analysis paradigm, an elderly care service supply capability evaluation system with five dimensions, including family, government, market, society and collaboration is constructed. The entropy weight method is used to determine the weight, and the weighted sum method is used to calculate the comprehensive score. The differences in the supply capability of different subjects in 30 provinces (cities) in China in 2018 are analyzed. The study found that there is regional imbalance in the comprehensive supply capacity of elderly care services in China, and the eastern region is higher than the central and western regions: Beijing, Guangdong, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Shandong and other eastern regions have strong supply capability, while Shanxi, Yunnan, Heilongjiang, Xinjiang and Jilin and other central and western regions have weak supply capability. In addition, the supply of elderly care service also presents the different characteristics. Therefore, the paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions, such as establishing a balanced development strategy, narrowing the regional gap of elderly care service supply capability, enhancing the supply capability of various subjects, and accelerating the formation of a multi-subject responsibility sharing system for elderly care service.
