Experiência na utilização do modelo Hfacs (Sistema de Análise e Classificação de Fatores Humanos) na estruturação de mapas causais de eventos adversos

Trata-se de um relato de experiência, cujo objetivo é descrever a utilização da ferramenta Sistema de Análise e Classificação de Fatores Humanos (HFACS) na análise de um evento sentinela, ocorrido em um hospital brasileiro público de médio porte. Buscou-se mapear os fatores humanos e classificar os fatores que contribuíram e levaram a ocorrência do dano. Vale ressaltar que a finalidade é identificar falhas no processo de trabalho, de equipamentos ou outras questões existentes, as quais possibilitam a ocorrência do erro humano, baseando-se no pensamento sistêmico.********************************************************************Experience in use of HFACS (Human Factors Analysis and Classification System) model in structuring causal maps of adverse eventsAbstract: This experience report aimed to describe a tool from the Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) used in the analysis of a sentinel event that occurred in a Brazilian medium-sized public hospital. Human factors were mapped and classified in terms of causes that contributed and led to a harmful occurrence. It is worth highlighting that the purpose is to identify flaws in the work process, equipment or other existing practices, as possible causes of human failure, based on systemic thinking.Keywords: Patient safety; Human factors; Risk management.

Problemas de linguagem em inglês aeronáutico: uma análise de comunicação técnica sob diferentes ramos linguísticos

Desde os engenheiros que constroem as aeronaves até os pilotos que as operam, a segurança vem, ou pelo menos deveria vir, em primeiro lugar, sendo de inegável importância para a aviação. Contudo, acidentes continuam acontecendo. Assumindo a premissa de diversas causas, e nunca causas isoladas, uma delas pode ser o erro de comunicações. O tema a ser abordado tem como base os problemas de linguagem em inglês aeronáutico, caracterizando uma análise de comunicação técnica sob diferentes ramos linguísticos e possíveis acidentes decorrentes destes problemas. Os resultados foram obtidos por meio da organização sistêmica dos dados coletados, os quais foram alcançados através de pesquisas bibliográficas. Os acidentes, ou exemplos de possíveis miscommunications, foram categorizados de maneira a identificar a área da linguística envolvida neste processo. Em caráter geral, o objetivo proposto é analisar os problemas de linguagem em comunicação técnica aeronáutica em inglês, sob diferentes ramos linguísticos.********************************************************************Language problems in aeronautical English: a technical communicationanalysis under different linguistic areasAbstract: From the engineers who build up the aircraft, to the pilots who make them fly, safety needs to be the first gold rule, or at least, it had to be so, once it’s strictly important for the aviation industry. Nevertheless, accidents still occur. Believing there are always several causes for any accident, it is quite reasonable to think communication errors could be involved in this. The theme of this monography is entirely sustained on language problems in technical aeronautical English, which may unroll into an accident, and how to analyze this under linguistics optical methodology, given by different linguistic levels. The results have been gained by organizing specific bibliographic data, which encompasses examples of possible miscommunication and accidents. These accidents and examples had been linked with the different linguistic levels. Generally, the main goal is to analyze and organize the potential problems that may occur on technical aeronautical communication in English.Keywords: Linguistic levels; Analysis; Organizational; Accidents; Miscommunication.

Analysis of ticket price in the airline industry from the perspective of operating costs, supply and demand

This study provides an analysis of airline ticket price and its determinants, such as operating costs, supply and demand. The research aimed to establish the relationship between ticket price and these influencing variables, using a correlation method to verify their effect. A linear regression model was developed using the least squares method to explain whether a causal relationship exists between the variables. The results show that, although a relationship does exist between airline ticket price and operating costs, it is overshadowed by the fact that the main determinant of pricing is explained by the relationship between supply and demand.*******************************************************************************************************************Preços de passagens aéreas analisados sob a perspectiva dos custos operacionais, oferta e demanda resumo Este estudo fornece uma análise do preço do bilhete de avião e seus determinantes, tais como os custos operacionais, a oferta e a demanda. O objetivo desta pesquisa consiste em determinar qual é a relação entre o preço do bilhete, o que a determina e qual destas variáveis a afetam, usando um método de correlação. Um modelo de regressão linear foi elaborado usando o método dos mínimos quadrados para explicar se existe uma relação causal entre as variáveis. Os resultados mostram que, apesar de existir uma relação entre o custo dos bilhetes de avião e os custos operacionais, essa relação é ofuscada devido ao fato de que o principal determinante do preço do bilhete é explicado pela relação entre a oferta e a demanda.Palavras-chave: indústria aérea; custos; demanda; preço.

A competitividade como fator negativo na aviação brasileira

A competição entre as empresas no mercado aéreo é um importante fator que deve ser levado em consideração quando no estudo da viabilidade de abertura do setor à livre concorrência, visto que essa, quando agindo de modo “predatório”, pode levar as companhias aéreas a enfrentar severas crises financeiras, contribuindo assim negativamente para a estabilização desse setor que ainda sofre para se consolidar no país. Sendo assim, realizou-se um levantamento do referencial bibliográfico voltado à história da regulação e desregulação aérea no Brasil, destacando-se seus principais pontos e reflexos na gestão das empresas aéreas, para assim fazer-se uma análise do panorama atual do mercado da aviação brasileira.********************************************************************Competitiveness as a negative factor in Brazilian aviationAbstract: Competition between companies in the air transport industry is an important factor that should be taken into consideration when studying the feasibility of opening up the sector to free market competition. Acting in a “predatory” manner may cause airline companies to face severe financial crises, thus contributing negatively to the stability of this sector, which is still struggling to consolidate within the country. Therefore, a survey of the bibliographic references focused on the history of air regulation and deregulation in Brazil was conducted, highlighting the main points and their impact on airline management, in order to produce an analysis of the current situation within the Brazilian aviation market.Keywords: Brazilian aviation; regulatory processes; competition; deregulation.

A história por trás da foto

Este artigo, intitulado “A história por trás da foto”, tem por objetivo resgatar uma passagem singular e esquecida da aviação comercial brasileira, especialmente nas décadas de 1930 e 1940. Utiliza-se o método monográfico e bibliográfico para, a partir da análise detalhada de uma fotografia sem qualquer relevância, descortinar e revelar a forte influência germânica na América do Sul. Mostra-se os reflexos da cultura germânica, principalmente no modal aéreo, bem como as particularidades das relações Brasil-Alemanha-Brasil após a Primeira Guerra Mundial.********************************************************************A story behind the photoAbstract: This article, entitled “The story behind the photo”, aims to examine a unique and forgotten period from Brazilian commercial aviation, principally from the decades of the 1930s and 1940s. The monographic and bibliographic method attempts, from a detailed analysis of the photograph, to discover and reveal the strong Germanic influence in South America. Estudo de termos simples e expressões fixas baseado em um corpus de segurança da aviação

Este artigo tem como objetivo a análise do termo “segurança” em português e suas traduções para o inglês “safety” e “security” no campo da linguagem de aviação de “safety/security”. Construímos dois corpora, um com textos em português da ANAC (Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil) e da FAB (Força Aérea Brasileira). E outro com textos em inglês da OACI (Organização da Aviação Civil Internacional). Com um estudo de tradução “Corpus-Based”, estudamos os termos e as principais expressões fixas em português e suas traduções para o inglês, utilizando o software “WordSith Tools”, versão 6.0, para fornecer aos tradutores, professores e profissionais da área um material útil para seus propósitos. ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ************************************************** ****A corpus-based study of simple terms “segurança”, “safety” and “security” in aviation languageAbstract: This article focuses on the Portuguese term “segurança” and its English translations “safety” and “security” in the safety/security field of aviation language. Two corpora were constructed, the first including Portuguese texts from the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) and Brazilian Air Force (FAB), and the second with English texts from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). A corpus-based translation study was performed using the WordSmith Tools software, version 6.0.
