The article focuses on the analysis of the functions of current and final control in methods of teaching foreign languages and on the identification of the causes of the inconsistency of the results of current and final control in methods of teaching foreign languages. The author analyses the following causes of the inconsistency of the results of current and final control: forgetting of a certain part of the material studied at the beginning of the module, the specificity of the final control, lack of motivation among the students.

This article presents a variety of approaches to solving the problem of the formation of specialist capable of achieving complete realization of their potential by structurally different education systems. The necessity of complex development of the system of professional education on the basis of full use of its potential in order to provide training of demanded specialists is revealed. The proposed systematic approach to the design of activities in institutions of secondary vocational education, aimed at training, affecting the development of competencies of skilled workers and specialists in an educational institution of a new type is shown by the examples of a number of services and departments of educational institutions of secondary vocational training, uncharacteristic of a typical educational institution. These include: training stations, training areas, employment departments, scientific and methodological departments, departments of information and computer technology, student government services and others.
