In data analysis, items were mostly described by a set of characteristics called features, in which each feature contains only single value for each object. Even so, in existence, some features may include more than one value, such as a person with different job descriptions, activities, phone numbers, skills and different mailing addresses. Such features may be called as multi-valued features, and are mostly classified as null features while analyzing the data using machine learning and data mining techniques.  In this paper, it is proposed a proximity function to be described between two substances with multi-valued features that are put into effect for clustering. The suggested distance approach allows iterative measurements of the similarities around objects as well as their characteristics. For facilitating the most suitable multi-valued factors, we put forward a model targeting at determining each factor’s relative prominence for diverse data extracting problems. The proposed algorithm is a partition clustering strategy that uses fuzzy c- means clustering for evolutions, which is using the novel member ship function by utilizing the proposed similarity measure. The proposed clustering algorithm as fuzzy c- means based Clustering of Multivalued Attribute Data (FCM-MVA).Therefore this becomes feasible using any mechanisms for cluster analysis to group similar data. The findings demonstrate that our test not only improves the performance the traditional measure of similarity but also outperforms other clustering algorithms on the multi-valued clustering framework.

Document Clustering is an unsupervised method for classified documents in clusters on the basis of their similarity. Any document get it place in any specific cluster, on the basis of membership score, which calculated through membership function. But many of the traditional clustering algorithms are generally based on only BOW (Bag of Words), which ignores the semantic similarity between document and Cluster. In this research we consider the semantic association between cluster and text document during the calculation of membership score of any document for any specific cluster. Several researchers are working on semantic aspects of document clustering to develop clustering performance. Many external knowledge bases like WordNet, Wikipedia, Lucene etc. are utilized for this purpose. The proposed approach exploits WordNet to improve cluster member ship function. The experimental result shows that clustering quality improved significantly by using proposed framework of semantic approach.

In the fuzzy evaluation process of the power quality, different membership function scan lead to different results, which affect the credibility of the evaluation. In order to avoid subjectivity of choosing membership function, a combined membership function based on the Variance-covariance optimized combination method is proposed. Firstly, five typical member-ship function is selected after the deeply analysis of the power quality data. Secondly, weights of each function are calculated by the variance-covariance optimized combination method, and then a combined membership function of general applicability is constructed according to the weights. Thirdly, the fuzzy evaluation is performed by using this combined membership function. Finally, an application of this combined membership function in the fuzzy evaluation of power quality of a power supply bureau shows that this function can improve credibility of three valuation result.

The purpose of this study is to develop the architectural system design of the Six Channels Compact Fuzzy Logic Controller (SCC-FLC) ready to be embedded into the FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) for joints of arm robot's manipulator. The FPGA based system design of this study could controlled independently six servo of arm robot manipulators to reduce workload of computer system. The method of this study divided into four steps. The first step, the FLC-P (Fuzzy Logic Controller Processor) block module of single channel C-FLC (Compact Fuzzy Logic Controller) on the previous study is redesigned in architectural system design by adding lots of block modules using multiplexing method. The second step, the module interconnections of system architecture are designed by defining some of inputs and output ports. The third step, the specific function of block modules about working processes is determined based on the definition of input and output ports. The fourth step, sequences of multiplexing processes are determined based on the algorithm of FLC, thus the total processing time of SCC-FLC could be estimated from architectural system design. Architectural system design of SCC-FLC requires external chips are 12bit ADC MAX-186 chip and 12bit DAC MAX-3203 of six chips. The block modules of SCC-FLC are FLC-P, LUT-MBFs (Look Up Table of Membership Function), ADC-I (Analog to Digital Converter Interface), DAC-I (Digital Analog Converter Interface), ECEG (Error and Change Error Generators), SPL (Set Point Latchs) and TAC (Time And Control). The total processing time of SCC-FLC by estimation is 256.2 µS or sampling frequency of 3.907KHz using clock frequency of 100MHz.

The inositol phosphatases phosphatase and tensin homologue (PTEN) and Src homology 2 domain–containing inositol phosphatase (SHIP) negatively regulate phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase (PI3K)–mediated growth, survival, and proliferation of hematopoietic cells. Although deletion of PTEN in mouse T cells results in lethal T cell lymphomas, we find that animals lacking PTEN or SHIP in B cells show no evidence of malignancy. However, concomitant deletion of PTEN and SHIP (bPTEN/SHIP−/−) results in spontaneous and lethal mature B cell neoplasms consistent with marginal zone lymphoma or, less frequently, follicular or centroblastic lymphoma. bPTEN/SHIP−/− B cells exhibit enhanced survival and express more MCL1 and less Bim. These cells also express low amounts of p27kip1 and high amounts of cyclin D3 and thus appear poised to undergo proliferative expansion. Unlike normal B cells, bPTEN/SHIP−/− B cells proliferate to the prosurvival factor B cell activating factor (BAFF). Interestingly, although BAFF availability may promote lymphoma progression, we demonstrate that BAFF is not required for the expansion of transferred bPTEN/SHIP−/− B cells. This study reveals that PTEN and SHIP act cooperatively to suppress B cell lymphoma and provides the first direct evidence that SHIP is a tumor suppressor. As such, assessment of both PTEN and SHIP function are relevant to understanding the etiology of human B cell malignancies that exhibit augmented activation of the PI3K pathway.

Information plays an important role in process of decision-making. Information and communication technologies give to the decision-makers not only relevant information, but they help in their interpretation. The basic advantage of fuzzy logic is the capability mathematic catch up the information, which is phrased. If we have set of elements, in that every element is characterised by grade of pertinence (member ship function), we call it fuzzy set. Map algebra is instrument that allows working up the raster representation of reality with using language of the map algebra. The using fuzzy sets for solving spatial problems is qualified by process in 3 steps: a) the correct definition of the type of member ship function, 2) the reserve of quality of input data, and 3) to modelling defined fuzzy sets by expert and the implementation of spatial analysis above them. The article has the goal, exemplify of modelling of occurrence of Epipogium aphyllum in the Czech Republic, to propose the way of spatial analysis above fuzzygeoelements with using map algebra. Only 4 restrictive conditions input to model, and the size of pixel in layer is 10 m. Fuzzy sets are realised above selected raster layers, that were defined in the step 1) by instruments of the map algebra. The resulting model specifies the places with documented occurrence with the high degree of member ship function.

Harvey Cheyne is the over-indulged son of a millionaire. When he falls overboard from an ocean liner he is rescued by a Portuguese fisherman and, initially against his will, joins the crew of the We're Here for a summer. Through the medium of an exciting adventure story, Captains Courageous (1897) deals with a boy who like Mowgli in The Jungle Book, is thrown into an entirely alien environment. The superstitious, magical world of the sea and the tough, orderly, physical world of the boat form a backdrop to Harvey's regeneration. Kipling describes the fascination skills of the schooner fishermen who would soon be made redundant by the twentieth century, and makes the ship function as a convincing model for a society engaged in a difficult and dangerous task. The introduction to this edition examines its place among other maritime novels and among Kipling's own work, and explanatory notes clarify the seafaring terms and historical and geographical references.

Summary Objective: In this prospective study, the time to remission after Radiosynovectomy (RSV) was analyzed and the influence of age, sex, underlying disease, type of joint, and duration of illness on the success rate of RSV was determined. Methods: A total number of 57 patients with rheumatoid arthritis (n = 33) and arthrosis (n = 21) with a total number of 130 treated joints (36 knee, 66 small and 28 medium-size joints) were monitored using visual analogue scales (VAS) from one week before RSV up to four to six months after RSV. The patients had to answer 3 times daily for pain intensity of the treated joint. The time until remission was determined according to the Kaplan-Meier survivor-ship function. The influence of the prognosis parameters on outcome of RSV was determined by multivariate discriminant analysis. Results: After six months, the probability of pain relief of more than 20% amounted to 78% and was significantly dependent on the age of the patient (p = 0.02) and the duration of illness (p = 0.05), however not on sex (p = 0.17), underlying disease (p = 0.23), and type of joint (p = 0.69). Conclusion: Irrespective of sex, type of joint and underlying disease, a measurable pain relief can be achieved with RSV in 78% of the patients with synovitis, whereby effectiveness is decreasing with increasing age and progress of illness.
