In Romans 8: 28-30 it states that God chose. This arises the mistaken understanding that if God has chosen from the beginning, then there are those who are chosen and those who are not. Then, how does God's understanding choose people from the beginning? If so, are the good deeds of the believer still relevant? does the Great Commission still apply to believers? Therefore, the purpose of this writing is to seek the meaning of all the people He chose from the beginning in Romans 8: 28-30. This writing uses a qualitative writing method with a type of exegesis approach, namely Grammatical-context study. Grammatical means to examine the phrase all the people He chose from the beginning in Romans 8: 28-30. The intended context analysis is to link each analyzed word to the context in which the word is located. The findings of this writing which are related to being chosen in the Book of Romans are that the election of God from the beginning was an act of God long before all were made who knew humans and chose who would receive Christ and His glory. This calling occurs according to and based on God's purpose. God's call for believers is for a certain purpose or plan. The call is for believers to be like Christ and share in His glory and contribute well to God's plan. The purpose of the call is to accept the justification of the mistakes and sins that have been done. All sins and mistakes will be blotted out by the blood of Jesus, as a justification for His death, and His resurrection that has sacrificed for those who believe in Him. The Last is glorified. This is God's future action where He frees believers from every aspect of sin, at His second coming. This process requires all believers to be like Jesus Christ.

The paper draws attention to violence against the elderly as a serious problem at present. Anyone of us can be the victim of violence, but the criminals usually choose people who cannot adequately defend themselves. That is why the older population of our society is at great risk. This topic is still tabooed and we therefore consider it extremely important to appeal to society by pointing out the fatal consequences of this irrational crime. Relationship does not entitle anyone to be a rapist.

Abstract: Standardization of the preacher has two dimensions that lead to the agree and contradiction of the ulama, the muballigh and da'i. As an effort to realize good competencies and qualifications for the preacher is a very positive thing so that the stake holders become enlightened. If this is desired from standardization, it will be a hope and necessity for all Muslims. Through gathering forums activities can be improved on preacher capacity. However, if standardization is used as an effort to select, assessing credibility regarding the grade of study taken, or limiting the material of the sermon, then this is contrary to the existence of the preacher and the existence of mosques in Indonesia. Because, mosques that stand in this country are self-help communities and those who choose people to become preacher are selection based on their moral size and religiosity qualifications. Therefore, based on this research, the standardization of preacher is not needed at this time, and Islamic Broadcasting Communication Study Program is deemed not necessary to involve itself in the issue of preacher standardization. Keywords: Standardization, preacher competence

The law gift rights to society to participate in local governance. It means, hopefully, that democracy values which become the spirit of decentralization, can be applied by local peoples. Through participating in governance, peoples can maximize local development. After one decade, decentralization presenting various achievements. Some cities or regencies, such as Surabaya City, can develop quickly, but others slowly. Different achievement and similar opportunity among them produced questions about how local peoples understand decentralization. Generally, this article will talk about two big questions: how do local peoples think about democracy? and, how do local peoples see political instruments in local level?. This article is based on a survey in Surabaya City during May 2016. Survey have conducted by questionnaire to 1023 respondents The result showed that local people limit the meaning of decentralization. 50,7% respondents were not interested in general political issues, and only 7.5% who were interested. The numbers explained that Surabaya peoples tend to be apathetic to politics. Even, the survey also found only 21.3% respondents who believe that democracy is a way to welfare. But, when respondents were asked question about the priority of meaning of democracy, 25.8% respondents (high percentage) see democracy as an opportunity to change the government. They seen local election (Pilkada) is the opportunity, choose people who will be local government leader. We can conclude that Surabaya peoples did not apply democracy values (all kind of political participations) completely, in local governance, but they were interested in having a good leader. That why Surabaya peoples see political decentralization is a local election (Pilkada)

<p class="apa">The purpose of this study is to determine how students in a south-western province of Turkey employ historical significance which is one of the second order concepts of historical thinking. 44 11th and 12th grade students participated in the study. They were asked to identify the most significant 10 persons in the history and provide their reasons for selecting each person. A total of 127 people are determined by students as significant. Each person identified by the students given a score according to a formula developed by the researchers. Thus 10 people with the highest score determined by the most significant person history. Analysis of these 10 people along with remaining of the list revealed that students are unable to employ professional standards to differ significant people from those who are not. Rather they are quite personal and subjective with regard to selections they made. Additionally it has been revealed that they choose people only from Turkish history, their selections characterized by people from relatively recent past, and paucity of female figures in list raised concerns regarding content, curriculum and instruction of history and social studies courses in Turkey.</p>

AbstractAny instance (i.e., event, behavior, trait) belongs to infinitely many reference classes, hence there are infinitely many base rates from which to choose. People clearly do not entertain all possible reference classes, however, so something must be limiting the search space. We suggest some possible mechanisms that determine which reference class is evoked for the purpose of judgment and decision.
