Survey method through evaluative descriptive approach is used in this study, which aims to determine the existence of woodball athletes coaching at Student Activity Unit (UKM) Unnes so that it can be used as reference for other regions to build up and produce potential athletes for the region, and further for Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that coaching woodball athletes at UKM Unnes going very well, because it is supported by the human resources and facilities and complete woodball sports equipment. The constraints faced include: (1) program/training schedules often conflict with the lectureschedule of students; (2) lack of coaching funds to follow the event and funds to organize events; (3) athletes/students sometimes took too long dispensation (permit college) while following the championship (so that athletes got mind burden for not following the lecture); (4) lackof attention and participation of Universities in Semarang, Central Java, particularly those with sports studies program to jointly develop the woodball sport; and (5) starting early 2017 woodball permanent field area cannot be used in full (athletes began to fret about finding a place to practice).

UNIVERSITY PEDAGOGY: FOR AN INSTITUTIONAL TEACHING DEVELOPMENT POLICY IN HIGHER EDUCATION

This study aims to highlight the need for developing institutional projects on University Pedagogy which contribute to the professional development of higher education teachers at work. We questioned them the possible contributions of training activities focused on teaching development and professional identity. This quantitative, qualitative research was conducted in a federal university located in the region of Triângulo Mineiro, in Brazil, from 2013 to 2016. We collected data by means of questionnaires and interviews with university professors. We concluded that fragmented, sporadic training processes contribute little to professional development. Thus, in view of the complex work in higher education, institutional efforts are needed to consolidate a University Pedagogy as a permanent field for teacher training and development.

Maxwell's equations describe the relation of charge and electric force almost perfectly even though electrons and permanent charge were not in his equations, as he wrote them. For Maxwell, all charge depended on the electric field. Charge was induced and polarization was described by a single dielectric constant. Electrons, permanent charge, and polarization are important when matter is involved. Polarization of matter cannot be described by a single dielectric constant ?_(r )with reasonable realism today when applications involve 10^(-10) sec. Only vacuum is well described by a single dielectric constant ?_(0 ). Here, Maxwell's equations are rewritten to include permanent charge and any type of polarization. Rewriting is in one sense petty, and in another sense profound, in either case presumptuous. Either petty or profound, rewriting confirms the legitimacy of electrodynamics that includes permanent charge and realistic polarization. One cannot be sure ahead of time that a theory of electrodynamics without electrons or (permanent, field independent) charge (like Maxwell's equations as he wrote them) would be legitimate or not. After all a theory cannot calculate the fields produced by charges (for example electrons) that are not in the theory at all!After updating,Maxwell's equations seem universal and exact.Polarization must be described explicitly to use Maxwell's equations in applications. Conservation of total current (including ?_0 ?E??t) becomes exact, independent of matter, allowing precise definition of electromotive force EMF in circuits.Kirchhoff's current law becomes as exact as Maxwell's equations themselves.Classical chemical kinetics is seen to need revision to conserve current.

Ordering kinetics of lamella-forming block copolymers under the guidance of various external fields studied by dynamic self-consistent field theory

We theoretically engineer a new scheme, which integrates a permanent field for pattern registration and a dynamic external field for defect annihilation, to direct the self-assembly of block copolymers.

Brief Communication: A new testing field for debris flow warning systems

A permanent field installation for the systematic test of debris flow warning systems and algorithms has been equipped on the eastern Italian Alps. The installation was also designed to produce didactic videos and it may host informative visits. The populace education is essential and should be envisaged in planning any research on hazard mitigation interventions: this new installation responds to this requirement and offers an example of integration between technical and informative needs. The occurrence of a debris flow in 2014 allowed the first tests of a new warning system under development and to record an informative video on its performances. This paper will provide a description of the installation and an account of the first technical and informative results obtained.

A novel inference of the fundamental biodiversity number for multiple immigration-limited communities

Neutral community theory postulates a fundamental quantity, θ, which reflects the species diversity on a regional scale. While the recent genealogical formulation of community dynamics has considerably enhanced quantitative neutral ecology, its inferential aspects have remained computationally prohibitive. Here, we make use of a generalized version of the original two-level hierarchical framework in order to define a novel estimator for θ, which proves to be computationally efficient and robust when tested on a wide range of simulated neutral communities. Estimating θ from field data is also illustrated using two tropical forest datasets consisting of spatially separated permanent field plots. Preliminary results also reveal that our inferred regional diversity parameter based on community dynamics may be linked to widely used ordination techniques in ecology. This paper essentially paves the way for future work dealing with the parameter inference of neutral communities with respect to their spatial scale and structure.
