Introduction: To investigate the effects of a multiprofessional approach on anthropometric parameters and body composition and the level of food processing in adolescents. Methods: Twelve overweight/obese male adolescents between 13-17 years old participated in a series of 12-week multiprofessional interventioms led by physical education, nutrition and psychology professionals. The participants were assessed before the intervention as well as at 6 and 12 weeks into it. Anthropometric assessments were performed, including body weight, stature and body mass index; body composition, with fat mass (FM), body fat (%BF), skeletal muscle mass (SMM) and resting metabolic rate (RMR) and by filling in a three-day food record, in order to calculate the ingested foods, by the level of processing of the food: fresh, minimally processed, processed and ultra-processed.  Results:  No differences were observed for the anthropometric parameters performed at different stages (p>0.05). Reductions for FM and %BF and increases in SMM and RMR (p<0.05) were identified, all after 12-week of the intervention. There was an increase in the consumption of natural foods/g, and an increase in the caloric consumption of processed foods/kcal, after 12-week of interventions (p<0.05). Conclusion: The model resulted in decreases in FM and %BF, an increase in SMM, RMR, natural foods/g and processed foods/kcal.

Introduction: The monitoring of nephrotoxic antimicrobial use and the identification of probable problems related to their use in patients with renal risk factors is of the utmost importance, mainly regarding the safety and protection of patients' health. The present study aimed to analyze the use of restricted-use antimicrobials in hospitalized patients with renal dysfunction. Methods: This is a cross-sectional retrospective study carried out from January to March 2015, which included the following variables: age, gender, comorbidities, type of kidney disease, hospitalization unit, and antimicrobial sused, classified according to the ATC (Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical) methodology. Results and Discussion: records of renal dysfunction were found in 113 monitored patients, most of which were males, with CKD, and aged between 60 and 89 years. The most commonly prescribed restricted-use antimicrobials were from the broad-spectrum penicillin group. Conclusions: Safety in pharmacotherapy may be decisive in the clinical outcome of renal patients, so the multiprofessional contribution plays an important role in maintaining a favorable clinical condition.

Actions to combat obesity in childhood and adolescence in the context of supplementary health are necessary and there is a scarcity in the literature of intervention models that address this theme. The aim of this study was to describe the intervention and the model of a program to combat obesity, by a health care operator. The Espaço MultiDiversão program is a modality offered by the Agros Service of Physical Activity and Health (Espaço Movimento), a partnership between the Federal University of Viçosa - Campus Florestal (UFV-CAF) and your health plan operator, which aims to serve the beneficiaries of 6 to 15 years of age residing in Florestal-MG. This program is developed in Florestal, Minas Gerais, Brazil, at UFV-CAF. The data presented in this study refer to the first class selected in September 2017. The interested are subject to physical evaluation and medical evaluation. The intervention happens under the coordination of a physical educator, and has a multiprofessional approach of the physical education, nutrition and psychology. In this logical model highlights the partnership of public and private institutions, which enabled the necessary resources for this intervention, and data are presented that justify the investment in programs in primary care.

Background. Ljubljana declaration (2006) states that the close cooperation between oncologists and oncopharmacologists is vitally important to provide an optimal medical care. Multiprofessional approach allows to increase the cost-effectiveness of treatment and to make it safer. Objective. To prove the importance of the multiprofessional approach and cooperation of various specialists in the oncology field. Materials and methods. Analysis of the literature data on this topic. Results and discussion. According to the questionnaires’ results, 59 % of the respondents want to receive information about drugs and their side effects from the pharmacist. It explains the importance of creation of European Society of Oncology Pharmacology (ESOP), which at the moment includes 63 countries. Key principles of ESOP are the compliance to the standards of treatment quality, continuous professional growth and multiprofessional collaboration. Tasks of ESOP include the increase of the compliance to the oral drugs for cancer treatment, the struggle with the lack of drugs in all the world and the providing safety for patients and healthcare workers, which works with cytotoxic drugs (CTD). According to the data of different authors, low adherence can be predicted by the depression and cognitive disorders, side effects of drugs, asymptomatic disease course, difficult and expensive treatment, unsatisfactory control of treatment, etc. Talking about lack of drugs, since 2000s their frequency has increased. Even the drugs, which are included in the List of the Essential Medicines, are not available in every country, that’s why doctors have to change treatment regimens, interchange drugs, decrease the doses and postpone treatment. Struggle to fight the environmental pollution by CTD is one more task of ESOP. Studies have revealed that the most polluted surfaces in hospitals include working surfaces, floors, counters, drug fridge doors. In general, such characteristics as patient-centricity, multidisciplinary and multiprofessional approach, general coordination of treatment process, defined responsibilities, strict treatment protocols, continuous education of medical stuff, and advanced information systems are the most important for high-quality medical care. ESOP also focuses on the increase of pharmacist’s influence, that’s why this organization provides specialized webinars, trainings and workshops in oncology pharmacy field. Conclusions. 1. High-quality of medical care in cancer needs a pharmacist involvement. 2. Key principles of the ESOP include the compliance to the standards of treatment quality, continuous professional growth and multiprofessional collaboration. 3. Tasks of ESOP include the increase of the compliance to the oral drugs for cancer treatment, the struggle with the lack of drugs in all the world and the providing safety for patients and healthcare workers.
