Nodes are treated as characteristic points of data for modeling and analyzing. The model of data can be built by choice of probability distribution function and nodes combination. Two-dimensional object is extrapolated and interpolated via nodes combination and different functions as discrete or continuous probability distribution functions: polynomial, sine, cosine, tangent, cotangent, logarithm, exponent, arc sin, arc cos, arc tan, arc cot or power function. Curve interpolation represents one of the most important problems in mathematics and computer science: how to model the curve via discrete set of two-dimensional points? Also the matter of shape representation (as closed curve - contour) and curve parameterization is still opened. For example pattern recognition, signature verification or handwriting identification problems are based on curve modeling via the choice of key points. So interpolation is not only a pure mathematical problem but important task in computer vision and artificial intelligence.

Curve matching plays an important role in pattern recognition, computer vision and image understanding. In several past years, this problem has been studied mainly based on the curve contour, while only little progress has been made using the texture feature of the curve's neighborhood. This paper develops a novel texture-based curve matching method called IOCD, which consists of three steps: (1) Curve support region (CSR) without assigning a dominant orientation is first determined; (2) CSR is equally partitioned into several order bins according to the overall intensity order; (3) The feature vector is computed based on the local intensity order mapping. Experiments prove that the proposed IOCD performs robust to image rotation, viewpoint change, illumination change, blur, noise and JPEG compress. The application of image mosaic further identifies IOCD can achieve good matching performance.

According to the forming principle of equidistance curves, a mathematical model was concluded to calculate the curve contour of the cross section of the metal stator which has an inner helicoids and has an equal thickness rubber bushing using the primitive parameters of hypocycloid. By studying the cutting manufacturing technology of complex inner surface in slim parts, the feasibility of manufacturing large lead spiral inner surface by planning is studied and an NC envelop planning processing technology is proposed to manufacture the motor stator. The study of cutting simulation and cutting test provides the necessary theoretical support to the design of NC equipment and to cutting parameter optimization.
