The prevalence and impact of university affiliation discrepancies between four bibliographic databases – Scopus, Web of Science, Dimensions, and Microsoft Academic

Research managers benchmarking universities against international peers face the problem of affiliation disambiguation. Different databases have taken separate approaches to this problem and discrepancies exist between them. Bibliometric data sources typically conduct a disambiguation process that unifies variant institutional names and those of its sub-units so that researchers can then search all records from that institution using a single unified name. This study examined affiliation discrepancies between Scopus, Web of Science, Dimensions, and Microsoft Academic for 18 Arab universities over a five-year period. We confirmed that digital object identifiers (DOIs) are suitable for extracting comparable scholarly material across databases and quantified the affiliation discrepancies between them. A substantial share of records assigned to the selected universities in any one database were not assigned to the same university in another. The share of discrepancy was higher in the larger databases, Dimensions and Microsoft Academic. The smaller, more selective databases, Scopus and especially Web of Science tended to agree to a greater degree with affiliations in the other databases. Manual examination of affiliation discrepancies showed they were caused by a mixture of missing affiliations, unification differences, and assignation of records to the wrong institution. La sociología a través de sus publicaciones en revistas de impacto mediante el uso de big data

La sociología como disciplina ha sido definida de formas diversas que intentan abarcar sus dominios y métodos, aunque también se ha considerado inútil intentar definirla e incluso ha sido acusada de estar fragmentada y falta de uniformidad. Al igual que las demás disciplinas científicas, la sociología se puede observar como un sistema social al estar compuesta de complejas relaciones entre actores que incluyen a investigadores, instituciones, revistas y editoriales. Esas relaciones se forman a través de comunicaciones conceptuales y conforman redes que establecen como se organiza la disciplina. Actualmente, el fenómeno del big data ofrece la posibilidad de usar grandes colecciones de datos que permiten analizar la información de los procesos sociales. En concreto, a través de las grandes fuentes de datos bibliométricas la sociología tiene a su alcance ingentes cantidades de datos para mapear y estudiar la evolución de las disciplinas científicas. En este artículo describimos la sociología de los últimos treinta años a través de las publicaciones en las revistas de impacto. Para hacer esto, se emplean datos de revistas de sociología del Journal Citation Reports ampliados con la información de los artículos del Microsoft Academic Graph. Realizamos un análisis descriptivo de las revistas, sus países de origen, lenguas, editoriales y décadas de aparición e impacto. A continuación, evaluamos la evolución temporal del número de artículos y citas, así como la coautoría y el género de los autores. Tras esto, establecemos cuatro grupos de tipos de revistas y estudiamos sus diferencias en las dimensiones anteriores mediante contrastes de hipótesis. Finalmente, representamos las relaciones entre autores y revistas usando una red de afiliación que nos permite detectar grupos de revistas que forman interesantes comunidades temáticas y geográficas. Sociology as a discipline has been defined in diverse ways that attempt to cover the breadth of its domains and methods. Nonetheless, others have considered futile trying to define the discipline and many have accused sociology to be fragmented and lacking unity. Like the other scientific disciplines, sociology can be observed as a social system made up of researchers, institutions, journals and publishers. These relationships are established via conceptual communications which form networks that establish the way in which disciplined are organized. At present, the big data phenomena offers the capacity to use large data collections to analyse social processes. Big scholarly data sources offer sociology immense quantities of data useful to map and study the evolution of scientific disciplines. In this article we characterised the last thirty years of sociology through its publications in impact factor journals. To do this, we use data about the sociology journals from Journal Citation reports augmented with article information from Microsoft Academic Graph. The analysis starts by describing the journals, countries of origin, languages, publishers, the decades in which they appeared and their impact factor. After this, we evaluate the evolution of numbers of articles and citations as well as co-authorship and gender proportion. Subsequently, we establish four groups of journal types and study their differences in the previous dimensions using hypothesis tests. Finally, we represent the relationships between authors and journals using an affiliation network that allows us to detect groups of journals that form interesting thematic and geographic communities.

HUBUNGAN KETUBAN PECAH DINI DENGAN KEJADIAN ASFIKSIA LITERATURE REVIEW: THE CORRELATION OF PREMATURE RUPTURE OF MEMBRANES (PROM) WITH THE INCIDENCE OF ASPHYXIA

Menurut Human Development Report tahun 2010 Ketuban Pecah Dini (KPD) di Indonesia berkisar 4,4-7,6% dari seluruh kehamilan dengan KPD berkisar antara 3-18% yang terjadi pada kehamilan preterm, sedangkan pada kehamilan aterm sekitar 8-10%. Menurut beberapa peneliti KPD dapat menyebabkan terjadinya asfiksia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan ketuban pecah dini dengan kejadian asfiksia. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kepustakaan atau kajian literatur. Data penelitian ini berasal dari data sekunder, yaitu berasal dari beberapa sumber penelitian yang terdiri dari 25 sumber yang terdiri dari 7 jurnal ilmiah, 3 jurnal internasional, 5 skripsi/tesis, dan 10 buku. Pencarian sumber menggunakan google scholar, microsoft academic, media meneliti, and google. Dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa penyebab terjadinya asfiksia yang disebabkan oleh faktor langsung maupun faktor tidak langsung. Faktor langsung tersebut adalah KPD itu sendiri. Sedangkan, untuk faktor yang tidak langsung adalah CPD dan usia kehamilan. Sehingga asfiksia yang disebabkan kedua faktor tersebut dapat memperburuk keadaan terjadinya asfiksia. Dari salah satu penelitian dalam negeri oleh peneliti Anisa di daerah Kediri didapatkan angka kejadian asfiksia sebanyak 53% oleh ibu yang mengalami KPD. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dari dalam negeri dan luar negeri dengan rata-rata p value ?0,005, sehingga didapatkan kesimpulan terdapat hubungan antara ketuban pecah dini dengan kejadian asfiksia.

Gambaran Penurunan Nyeri Pada Penderita Neck Pain Setelah Dilakukan Muscle Energy Technique (MET) : Literature Review

Neck pain or neck pain is a musculoskeletal complaint such as pain in the neck and stiffness that is often experienced by the community. Around 16.6% of the adult population in Indonesia complains of neck pain every year. To reduce pain in patients with neck pain, interventions can be given, one of which is Muscle Energy Technique (MET). This study aims to determine the description of pain reduction in patients with neck pain after accepting the Muscle Energy Technique (MET). Writing this article uses a literature review system using PICO. This article was obtained from searching the Microsoft Academic and Scilit online database with predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The measuring instrument used in the literature review is the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). The results of the literature review analysis of these 5 articles found that the results of pain reduction from the results of the pre-test were 6.13 and post-test were 2.37. So there is a decrease in pain after accepting the Muscle Energy Technique (MET). Muscle Energy Technique (MET) has an effect on reducing pain in Neck Pain cases. It is hoped that this research should be able to increase knowledge about the management of pain reduction in cases of neck pain after accepting the Muscle Energy Technique (MET).Keywords : Neck pain; muscle energy technique (MET); visual analogue scale (VAS). AbstrakNeck pain atau nyeri leher merupakan keluhan muskuloskeletal seperti terasa sakit dibagian leher dan kaku yang sering dialami oleh masyarakat. Sekitar 16,6% setiap tahunnya populasi orang dewasa di Indonesia mengeluhkan rasa nyeri pada leher. Untuk menurunkan nyeri pada penderita Neck pain dapat diberikan intervensi salah satunya adalah Muscle Energy Technique (MET). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran penurunan nyeri pada penderita Neck pain setelah dilakukan Muscle Energy Technique (MET). Penulisan Artikel ini menggunakan sistem literature review dengan menggunakan PICO. Artikel ini didapatkan dari penelusuran data base online Microsoft Academic dan Scilit dengan kriteria insklusi dan eksklusi yang telah ditentukan. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam literature review adalah Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). Hasil analisis literature review dari ke 5 artikel ini didapatkan bahwa hasil penurunan nyeri dari hasil pre test 6,13 dan post test 2,37. Jadi ada penurunan nyeri setelah dilakukan Muscle Energy Technique (MET). Muscle Energy Technique (MET) berpengaruh terhadap penurunan nyeri pada kasus Neck pain. Diharapkan Penelitian ini hendaknya dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan terhadap penanganan penurunan nyeri pada kasus Neck pain setelah dilakukan Muscle Energy Technique (MET).Kata Kunci: Neck pain; muscle energy technique (MET);visual analogue scale (VAS).

Emergencia sanitaria COVID-19, el camino que acelera el acceso abierto

Al 18 de diciembre del 2020, los países que ocupan los primeros lugares en muertes por COVID-19 son Brasil Argentina, Colombia y México, por lo que urge acceder a la información de fuentes confiables sin restricciones, siendo este un tema de urgencia mundial y donde el acceso abierto también conocido como Open Access cobra aún más relevancia. Por lo que se presenta como hipótesis en este ensayo si “existe relación entre el impacto positivo al acceso abierto por la generación de información sobre el tema de la emergencia covid-19”, se abordaron los temas del impacto del COVID-19 en 4 de los países más afectados de América latina y el caribe y el proceso acelerado de investigación y publicación. Para ello se procedió a dar sustento en éste ensayo el cual se realizó de forma documental, permitiendo respetar las indicaciones de “quédate en casa” , se consultó, recopiló y seleccionó información de forma virtual, usando herramientas de búsqueda de la información en metabuscadores y bases de datos entre otros, encontrando noticias recientes y publicaciones de diversas fuentes confiables, entre los principales fuentes de consulta se seleccionó a organizaciones como la UNESCO, CLACSO, Organizaciones de los Estados Americanos, Naciones Unidas, entre otros y de instituciones editoriales se consultó a hemerotecas, entre las cuales resaltan Redalyc, Latindex y SciELO, buscadores académicos Microsoft Academic y Google Scholar, lo cual permitió seleccionar e identificar como principales resultados que el número de publicaciones respecto al tema de COVID-19 se duplicó con un promedio de 15 días, así ,mismo se identificó que en algunos países se crearon leyes y políticas sobre el acceso abierto, lo que permitió encontrar la respuesta de fondo de que esta emergencia COVID-19, es el camino que ha acelerado el acceso abierto en varios países, disponiendo así de mayor información, conocimiento e investigación.

ESTRATÉGIAS DE PROMOÇÃO PARA A SEGURANÇA DO PACIENTE: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA QUANTO AO PAPEL DO FARMACÊUTICO NA EQUIPE MULTIDISCIPLINAR

Objetivo: Demonstrar a necessidade de estratégias desenvolvidas pelo farmacêutico junto a equipe multidisciplinar para a correção de falhas, aperfeiçoamento do serviço e contribuir com a segurança do paciente no processo de preparação, administração e uso de medicamentos. Métodos: Revisão integrativa realizada nas bases de dados,Scientific Eletronic Library Online, National Library of Medicine, Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde, US National Library of Medicine, Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde, Microsoft Academic e Science direct, utilizando-se os domínios, “medicamentos”, "segurança do paciente” e “hospital” combinando-os com os operadores booleanos 'AND' e 'OR'. As publicações foram selecionadas de acordo com os critérios de inclusão e exclusão; a análise dos artigos se deu por pares; não houve restrição de idiomas. Resultados: A busca resultou em 66 artigos, dos quais: 42 foram excluídos por temática diversa à desta revisão, 2 dissertações e 4 duplicatas. Restaram 18 artigos elegíveis divididos em 4 eixos temáticos: Fatores de risco associados à prática de preparo e administração de medicamentos, Percepção da equipe assistencial e do paciente quanto a importância de práticas seguras, Ações de assistência farmacêutica para prevenção do erro de medicação e Contribuição das práticas seguras para as instituições hospitalares e segurança do paciente. Conclusão: O trabalho do farmacêutico junto da equipe multidisciplinar no hospital é fundamental para a promoção da segurança do paciente quanto a utilização de medicamentos. Existem várias estratégias que refletem o papel do farmacêutico na segurança do uso de medicamentos, contribuindo diretamente na melhoria dos processos assistenciais e gerenciamento adequado de custos.
