Research on the Path of Agriculture-related Higher Vocational Colleges in Serving the "Belt and Road" Initiative

Under the background of vigorous promotion of "Building a community with a shared future for mankind" and the "Belt and Road" Initiative, the international exchanges and cooperation of higher vocational colleges in China are embracing new opportunities and challenges. By studying the policy basis of agriculture-related vocational colleges serving the "Belt and Road" Initiative, this paper analyzes the current situation of agriculture-related vocational colleges serving the "Belt and Road" Initiative. The aim is to make explorations on ways for agriculture-related higher vocational colleges to serve the Belt and Road Initiative from the aspects of connotation construction, cooperation platform innovation, international production capacity cooperation, overseas student training, standard output, overseas education, technical training, and characteristic building.

Students' Perceptions in Using the Kahoot! Game on Reading Comprehension Learning

Reading comprehension is an activity to build people's understanding through texts by combining information obtained through texts with their knowledge and experience. Students face problems in reading comprehension, such as difficulty answering questions related to descriptive text, not being able to read the entire text, and confusing new vocabulary. This study aimed to determine how students perceive and improve reading comprehension after using Kahoot! Games as learning media for reading comprehension on description text at State Junior High School in Cilacap. This study uses an experimental sequential mix method with a qualitative descriptive method as the first order followed by a pre-experimental method using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Based on the results of the study, it was found that students' perceptions of using Kahoot! Games tend to be positive, students find learning fun, increase focus and caution, eliminate boredom, and motivate students to read the entire text. Furthermore, there was an increase in students' reading ability as indicated by the paired-sample t-test results where the sig value. the count obtained was 0.002 0.05, and the count obtained was 6.837 table 2.776. Supported by an 18% increase in the average student training results from 66.4 to 81.

The attitude of university students to distance learning in the context of the spread of coronavirus

The article condemns the problem of the attitude of university students to distance learning in the conditions of the spread of coronavirus. It describes the results of a study, the main purpose of which is to show how the attitude of students to the conditions for obtaining education in a distance format is changing. The article indicates that distance learning has become a forced form of student training due to the pandemic and the widespread lockdown in April 2020. Neither teachers nor students had been prepared for distance learning, this caused a negative attitude to the educational process, which could not but affect its results. The article gives the concept of distance learning, briefly describes its history, discusses the advantages and disadvantages. The results of a survey of students in May 2020 and in May 2021 are presented in order to clarify the changes in their attitude to distance learning. The analysis of the questionnaire showed that for many students, adaptation to distance learning was quite difficult. The majority of the surveyed students preferred traditional contact training and with great problems and reluctance studied in a distance format, which has both subjective and objective reasons. In May 2021, a repeated survey of students was conducted, which showed significant changes over the past year in relation to remote technologies. Despite the fact that the value of daily contact with teachers and classmates remains high for students, they do not deny the opportunity to study remotely. The results of the study show that the development of distance learning skills by students affects the attitude to it. The article describes the conditions for the effectiveness of distance learning in the modern realities of education.

Analysis of approaches to assessing the quality of the results of student training in the system of vocational education abroad

In this article an attempt to systematize the existing approaches to the assessment of quality of training students of technical universities in various countries is made; features of the assessment result of students' learning common for the whole system of higher education in Europe and the United States are identified; differences in the quality assessment result of training technical university students in foreign countries are also discussed. The relevance of the research is determined by the features of the organization and trends in the development of quality assessment of student training results, which is one of the most important aspects of managing the development of the higher education system. The choice of methods for its implementation directly affects all aspects of university activities in general, and largely determines the quality of educational services. The purpose of the article is to study and analyze existing approaches to assessing the quality of training results of technical university students abroad. It is established that the assessment of the quality of students' training results in Russia requires transformation of our mentality in determining the content of education. The presented results and conclusions of the study make it possible to formulate recommendations for assessing the quality of student training results in the system of professional education in Russia and promote the creation of a unified system for assessing the quality of higher education, which contributes to increasing the prestige of Russian higher education and its integration into the international scientific and educational space.

Analysis of the MOOC Capabilities for Student Training in the Humanities

The article provides a quantitative analysis of the online courses which can be used for student training in the humanities. It is noted that the development of in-formation society influenced the ways of educational activities organization, the process of obtaining new knowledge and competency formation. Under the con-ditions when online education, blended and distance learning are considerably relevant, massive open online courses are an effective tool for learning and self-development. It was found that training in the humanities plays an important role in personal development of the future specialist. It involves the development of social competence, communication culture, leadership skills, as well as skills of conflict avoidance, teamwork, etc. The effectiveness of training in the humanities is influenced by active teaching methods, interactive technologies, and various means of information and communication technologies. The authors analyzed both the English-language (Coursera, Udemy, Edx) and Ukrainian-language (Prometheus, EdEra, OUM) online platforms. The article provides a quantitative analysis of online courses according to various directions in the humanities on each of the platforms. As of October 2021, we identified 4,769 free and fee-paying courses. The largest number of online courses for training in the humani-ties is presented on the Udemy platform (4,295 courses), the smallest number – on all Ukrainian-language platforms together (45 courses).

Do registered nurses have the tools to appropriately assess student nurses in the taking and interpretation of electrocardiograms?

The Nursing and Midwifery Council highlights that, at the point of qualifying, registered nurses should be able to undertake routine investigations, interpret and share the findings, as appropriate. This includes electrocardiograms. Registered nurses who act as practice assessors for student nurses need to have the skills themselves to be able to appropriately assess the student. This article investigates whether practice assessors hold the appropriate knowledge and skills to be able to undertake assessments. The understanding of the terminology ‘interpreting findings’ can be seen in different ways and this could influence nurses' skills acquisition. At what point does a nurse not require supervision and is considered competent in the skill of taking an electrocardiogram and interpretation? There is no national standard in England to agree the level at which competence is achieved. Student training in practice may vary due to the placement experiences gained throughout their training. From reviewing the literature and standards, it is suggested that registered nurses have varying standards of skills when it comes to interpreting electrocardiograms, derived from their training both as a student and as a nurse. It may also be influenced by the Registered Nurses workplace setting and whether regular and specialist electrocardiogram analysis is required. There appears to be no published evidence/information into current training provision for electrocardiogram analysis within England within a student nurses core curriculum.

Talent Management and Professional Standards: Research on the Level of Development of University Students' Competencies

The central place in the presented article is devoted to talent management: the theoretical foundations of talent management in the personnel management system are reflected – its concept and essence, its significance in modern conditions are considered. Talent is considered as a set of necessary competencies, on the basis of which the value of the competence approach in identifying talents is established. Within the framework of the study, based on the professional standard of a specialist in personnel management, a competence model was developed, according to which talents were determined among students of the training direction "Personnel Management" of the Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin. The results of the study demonstrate that the student training program at the university corresponds to the model of key competencies of a specialist in personnel management, and, therefore, meets the requirements of the professional standard. However, it requires improvement in the development of a number of competencies.
