Background: The Open Field test is a common tool to measure anxiety and behavioral changes in rodents. However, scientific findings of rodent experiments may not translate adequately to humans and it has been shown that larger animal models might perform better in that regard. As a result, the number of published studies involving the Open Field test in domestic pig models is increasing. Objective: The aim of our review was to investigate the Open Field set-ups in published studies as well as similarity between performance and parameters published. Results: Following the PRISMA guidelines for reviews we selected 69 studies for data extraction in this systematic review. We were able to determine specific set-up conditions such as size, duration and daytime for most of the included studies and found a high variability within these test specifiers. Conclusion: Results indicate a non-uniform performance of set-up including size, timing, parameters and additional combined tests such as the novel object test. We would like to point out the need for standardization of Open Field test for pigs in order to improve result, comparability and reduce inconsistencies.

<p>Riverine systems have a dynamic exchange of water with the hyporheic zone and groundwater. Exchange fluxes can be challenging to estimate because they vary spatially and temporally and depend on many geological and hydrological properties. Temperature as a tracer has become a low-cost and robust method to monitor such fluxes both at local and reach (several channel widths) scales. Here, we present the capabilities and functionality of a new graphical user interface (GUI) developed in Python which is operating system independent. The GUI integrates standard and state-of-the-art signal processing methods with data visualization and analysis techniques. The signal analysis library allows the user to select the important frequencies to improve result confidence while the advanced LPMLEn and window function in FFT to reduce leakage in the extraction process of the amplitude and phase of the signals. The GUI streamlines the entire analysis process, from evaluating the raw temperature data to obtaining end-user specified parameters such as flux and streambed thermal properties. It allows for the analysis of single-probe and multi-probe data from short to long-term data sets.</p>

Abstract Background Relying on reference laboratories for HIV confirmation testing may lead to delays in treatment and can cause stress for patients who have positive HIV screening results. Objective To internalize HIV-1/HIV-2 antibody differentiation testing within the hospital laboratory. Methods We analytically verified an HIV antibody differentiation immunoassay and subsequently compared result turnaround times (TATs) for HIV antibody differentiation and HIV-1 qualitative RNA in the months before and after the test internalization. Results HIV antibody differentiation was successfully verified. TATs for HIV antibody differentiation and HIV-1 RNA significantly improved, from medians of 40.4 hours and 156.5 hours to medians of 17.7 hours and 56.5 hours, respectively, after the internalization. The 90th-percentile turnaround times declined by 72% and 44%, respectively. Conclusions It is feasible for a hospital laboratory to verify HIV antibody-differentiation testing. Its implementation may considerably improve result TATs for the HIV diagnostic algorithm.

Untuk memperoleh data aktivitas siswamenggunakan lembaran observasi, dan data hasil belajar diperoleh melalui tes tertulis. Dari hasiltindakan menunjukkan bahwa kerja kelompok dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajarsiswa dalam pembelajaran Qur’an Hadits. This research is based on the result of observation of the researcher on the students of class VII-B SMPN 3 Tapung found some problem that is the lack of interest in student learning, most of the students did not pay attention to the teacher explanation when delivering the learning material, passive students in the learning and ask questions, The student is still low that is only 62.2% reaching KKM that is set that is 75. This research aim to know that the implementation of learning strategy of the power of two can improve result learn Indonesian in student of class VII-B SMP Negeri 3 Tapung learning year 2016/2017. This research was conducted in class VII-B of SMP Negeri 3 Tapung in the odd semester of learning year 2016/2017. This research started from August 2016 until September 2016. The subjects of this class action research were conducted on students of grade VII-B SMP Negeri 3 Tapung. The number of students is 37 people, consisting of 17 sons and 20 daughters. The form of this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The classroom action research aims to improve the learning outcomes of Bahasa Indonesia in grade VII-B students at SMPN 3 Tapung with the application of the power of two (two power) learning strategy. The results obtained that the application of learning strategy of the power of two can improve the learning outcomes of Indonesian students in grade VII-B SMP Negeri 3 Tapung 2016/2017 academic year.Student learning outcomes before PTK is 73.5 with less category. Student learning outcomes cycle I average class is 82.0 with enough category. In cycle II the average class is 85.0 with good category.

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas IVA SD Laboratorium Undiksha, Singaraja. Semua siswa kelas IVA sudah memiliki nilai diatas KKM namun nilai siswa kelas IVA masih berada pada kreteria sedang pada Penilaian Acuan Patokan (PAP). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar PKn siswa kelas IVA SD Laboratorium Undiksha dengan penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi untuk setiap siklus dan penelitian ini diselesaikan dalam dua siklus. Pengumpulan data hasil belajar PKn dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode tes berbentuk pilihan ganda.Selanjutnya data tersebut dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif-kualitatif dan deskriptif-kuantitatif.Data hasil penelitian menunjukan pada siklus I data nilai rata-rata hasil belajar PKn 72,26 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 26,3% siswa berada pada kategori tinggi dan pada siklus II 83,5 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 81,5% siswa berada kategori tinggi. Dengan demikian, peningkatan hasil belajar PKn sebesar 11,24. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual dengan tutor sebayaberbantuan media audio-visual dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar PKn pada siswa kelas IVA tahun ajaran 2017/2018 di SD Laboratorium Undiksha.Kata kunci: Pembelajaran Kontekstual, Hasil Belajar PKnAbstractThis study was made to improve the quality of learning in IVA class Laboratorium School Undiksha, Singaraja. All of the students already reach the minimum score but they are only stay on average criteria. The purpose of this study is to improve result in learning Civic on IVA cstudents of Laboratorium School Undiksha through contextual learning application. This study is classroom action research (PTK) which have four phases: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection in every cycle and finished in only two cycles. Data collected by using multiple choice test. The data analyzed by descriptive-qualitative and descriptive quantitative techniques.The data of this study showed that in first cycle, student’s average score of civic was only 72,26 with classical completeness 26,3% students already reach the high category. In the second cycle, average score of civic was 83,5 with classical completeness 81,5% students already reach the high category. So that there is improvement of result in learning by 11,24. Result of this study shows that application of contextual learning with peer tutor assisted by audiovisual media can improve result in learning civic of IVA class students in Laboratorium School Undiksha in academic year 2017/2018. Keywords: contextual learning, result in learning Civic

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar IPA di SD Negeri 3 Banjar Jawa Singaraja Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018 setelah penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek berbantuan media audiovisual. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa VA SD Negeri 3 Banjar Jawa, sebanyak 32 orang. Bentuk analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada refleksi awal rata-rata hasil belajar IPA hanya mencapai 76 dengan (M%) sebesar 76% yang masih berada pada kategori sedang. Hasil penelitian meningkat pada siklus I dengan rata-rata nilai 76 dan (M%) sebesar 79% yang juga masih berada pada kategori sedang. Setelah dilaksanakan perbaikan tindakan pada siklus II, rata-rata nilai hasil belajar IPA siswa semakin meningkat mencapai 86 dengan (M%) sebesar 86% yang sudah masuk pada kategori tinggi. Adapun peningkatan hasil belajar IPA dapat dilihat dari hasil perhitungan gain score (Gn) adalah sebesar 0,42. Dengan demikian model pembelajaran berbasis proyek berbantuan media audiovisual dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VA di SD Negeri 3 Banjar Jawa Singaraja Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018.Kata kunci: hasil belajar IPA, media audiovisual, model pembelajaran berbasis proyek AbstractThe purpose of this study is to improve result in learning science through project based learning model application assisted by audiovisual media on VA grade students of SDN 3 Banjar Jawa Singaraja in academic year 2017/2018. This study used classroom action research which conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four phases: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subject were VA grade students in SDN 3 Banjar Jawa Singaraja in academic year 2017/2018 that included 32 students. The result of learning science's datas is analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis.The result showed that at the early reflection, average of result in learning science was only 76 with (M%) = 76%. It was still in middle category. The result of the study increased in 1st cycle with average 79 and (M%) = 79. It is also still in middle category. After the improvement of action on 2nd cycle. Student’s average value reachs 86 with (M%) = 86%. It means that there is enhancement of gain score (Gn) in the amount of 0,42. Based on the results can be concluded that application of project based learning model assisted by audiovisual media can improve result in learning science of VA grade students in SD Negeri 3 Banjar Jawa SIngaraja, academic year 2017/2018.Keywords: audiovisual media, project based learning, result in learning science
