Web search engines are built from components capable of processing large amounts of user queries per second in a distributed way. Among them, the index service computes the top-k documents that best match each incoming query by means of a document ranking operation. To achieve high performance, dynamic pruning techniques such as the WAND and BM-WAND algorithms are used to avoid fully processing all of the documents related to a query during the ranking operation. Additionally, the index service distributes the ranking operations among clusters of processors wherein in each processor multi-threading is applied to speed up query solution. In this scenario, a query running time prediction algorithm has practical applications in the efficient assignment of processors and threads to incoming queries. We propose a prediction algorithm for the WAND and BM-WAND algorithms. We experimentally show that our proposal is able to achieve accurate prediction results while significantly reducing execution time and memory consumption as compared against an alternative prediction algorithm. Our proposal applies the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) to represent key features affecting query running time whereas the resulting vectors are used to train a feed-forward neural network with back-propagation.

Currently, interest in the possibility of obtaining various qualitative characteristics of milk based on its nutritional properties and impact on human health is gradually increasing. The purpose of this review was to analyze published data on genes associated with the fatty acid composition of raw milk and the reproductive parameters of cattle, as well as their variability. The review considers the literature data of studies devoted to assessing the effect of polymorphic variants of genes determined the fatty acid composition of raw milk on reproductive parameters. A large number of studies demonstrate a reliable relationship between the presence of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in these genes and the fatty acid profile of cows milk. However, there is insufficient information on the effect of the described SNPs on the reproductive function of cows. The article analyzes the influence of the most studied polymorphisms of the DGAT1, SCD1, OLR1, PPARGC1A genes on the reproduction rates of cows of various breeds and populations.Their influence on a number of reproduction indicators has been shown: the insemination index, service and inter-hotel periods, the birth rate, the age of the first calving, etc. A list of promising candidate genes has been given, the reliable effect of which on cattle fertility has yet to be established: ABCG2, ADRB2, ACACA , CCL3, CHUK, ECHS1, FABP4, FADS1, FADS2, FASN, GHR, INSIG2, IGF1, LEP, LIPK, LIPJ, MINPP1, MOGAT1, PRKG1, PRL, SCD5, SREBF1, STAT1, STAT5A. It is important to note that among them there are genes for transcription factors that can potentially affect a large number of characters. For all these genes, SNPs were found and relationships with the FA profile in milk were studied. Insufficiency of information on biochemical, hormonal and molecular mechanisms of the influence of a particular gene and its polymorphisms on the fatty acid composition and reproductive parameters of dairy cows is noted.

The Event Index service of the ATLAS experiment at the LHC keeps references to all real and simulated events. Hadoop Map files and HBase tables are used to store the Event Index data, a subset of data is also stored in the Oracle database. Several user interfaces are currently used to access and search the data, from a simple command line interface, through a programmable API, to sophisticated graphical web services. It provides a dynamic graph-like overview of all available data (and data collections). Data are shown together with their relations, like paternity or overlaps. Each data entity then gives users a set of actions available for the referenced data. Some actions are provided directly by the Event Index system, others are just interfaces to different ATLAS services. In many cases, specialized views are offered for detailed data inspection, such as histograms, Venn diagrams, etc. This paper documents the current status of the service, its features and performance. The future system evolution to the new Event Index architecture based on the Apache Phoenix is also described as well as possible extension to a more general framework for giving a new, more intuitive access to experiment data.

The article deals with the study of diachronous and synchronous modifications of the semantic composition of the lexeme REFUGEE in Ukrainian linguistic culture. Based on the results of component analysis, thematic groups have been established and psycholinguistic factors affecting the formation of the concept REFUGEE in modern media content have been analyzed. Data comparison of the results of the component analysis, receptive and association experiments concerning positioning of the concept REFUGEE testifies that the number of semantic components of the lexeme «refugee» generally corresponds to the number of meanings found in lexicographical sources. At the same time, the content analysis has allowed to establish a significant extension of the meanings which specify: the causes of refugees, including social reasons and externals; emotional colouring of the concept; subject-object nominalization in which such components as `affiliation with the Eastern regions of Ukraine`, `directions of relocation` (characteristics of initial point and final destination), `military conflict in Ukraine as a reason of refugees`. New thematic groups testify to the extension of the meanings of the concept REFUGEE. Media content analysis showed that in Ukrainian ethnic culture the lexeme-verbalizer «refugee» acquires new specific meanings and transforms into linguistic culture. The technologized discourse of new media made it possible to define information concerns and systems of values of internet communicants. The results of the content analysis of high profile incidents which was conducted with the «Attack Index» service allowed to define their positive/negative colouring, frequent key words and key positions of the «war of discourses» going on around the issue of refugees.

Quality control is an essential part in delivering health services, especially under the implementation of national health insurance nowsdays. Particularly for health facilities, it is a crucial to control its services quality as it is a requirment in establishing a partnership with BPJS Kesehatan. Community Eye Hospital East Jawa has been worked with BPJS Kesehatan for years. The number of BPJS Kesehatan patients was more than 50% from total number of patients on August 2015 – January 2016. The aims of this study is to analyse the satisfation of BPJS Kesehatan patients towards the services of the hospital using 14 indicators which adopted from Kepmenpan No. Kep/25/M.PAN/2/2004. The study applied observational analysis with cross sectional design and accidental sampling. The overall indicators measurements pointed out that the quality of services of the hospital falled into excellent category (Satisfaction index / IKM = 82,32). However, there are 5 of 14 indicators, namely, speed of delivering a service, identity of hospital official, fairness in getting service, hospital amenities and service safety had the lowest mean score (NRR). Therefore, the study suggets the hospitals to improve its performance on those lowest five indicators especially its current queuing system because this is the most complaint from the patients. Keywords: BPJS Kesehatan patient, satisfaction index, service quality
