In this paper, we connect the pedometer to the mobile phone or personal computer using the platform of IOT. This reduces the defect of pedometer as a single node. The pedometer part integrates ADXL345 acceleration transducer and MSP430 MCU to get the data of steps, energy consumption and speed of a walker with low latency, then uploads this digital information to mobile phone or personal computer using Bluetooth technology. The data information can be uploaded into the pedometer server to realize online query of walkers' exercise records, exercise guidance and other function.

In this paper a method of designing intelligent smart car based on msp430 MCU is introduced. The method uses automatic control theory, detection technology, and the mcu receives signals which were collected and transmitted by the sensors fixed in front of the car and tyre, then controls the navigation of the motor to make the car go forward or change direction with unmanned operation system. The paper shows the design of both the hardware and software of the intelligent car system. The tests show that the smart car functions well as expected. Also, the design can be applied in automatic parking system and manufacturer transportation.

This paper designs the hardware and software interface of the 1-Wire slave device based on MSP430 MCU. It gives the hardware circuit schematic and the software flow, describes the working principle. The design of hardware is very easy to use and the costs are low because the hardware of the 1-Wire bus slave device includes a MSP430 MCU and some ordinary components only. The software is easy to program and expends its function so for different purposes. By this design, the scope of application of 1-Wire bus is expended. The device has none interface of 1-Wire bus can communicate with MSP430 first and then communicate with master by the simulative 1-Wire bus slave device interface based on MSP430. If system has used 1-Wire device, using this design could reduce the complexity because need not use other information protocol.

In order to solve the higher cost of system maintenance and higher risk bringing by MSP430 MCU and DSP site commissioning by using emulator, the Ethernet-based telephone communication system management software was designed based on the hardware platform of VOIP telephone communication system, which realize the remote management, maintenance, and the DSP and MSP430 MCU software online update for the network telephone communication system. The management software developed in Visual C # platform, using a Socket to the network communications. This management software has been put into use, which shows the advantages’ of good stability, simple operation and work efficiency, etc.

We introduce the high smart pressure sensor’s hardware-circuit design which based on Ultra-Low Power MSP430 MCU, analyze the BP network algorithm in temperature compensation to deal with the pressure sensor’s temperature drift, and collect pressure sensor’s temperature and pressure signals by MCU for offline training in BP network. The result shows that the MSP430 MCU can reduce system power and its rich exterior equipments can reduce the size of pressure sensor, the accuracy is improved by BP network algorithm, zero drift and time drift are best controlled.

We introduce the high smart pressure sensor’s hardware-circuit design based on Ultra-Low Power MSP430 MCU, the BP network algorithm in temperature compensation because of the pressure sensor’s temperature drift is analyzed, and the collected values of MPM280’s temperature and pressure signals with MCU are used in 4-layer BP network for offline training. We express the suited network module by C language program, and analyze the software-implemented method. The result shows that the MSP430 MCU can reduce system power and its rich exterior equipments can reduce the size of pressure sensor, the training of BP network by use of digital A/D value of MCU conversion reduces the error, the pressure sensor’s precision is improved by BP network, the precision is 0.1%.
