A translated script "Rumah Boneka" (A Doll's House) by Amir Sutaarga from the original script "A Doll's House" by Henrik Ibsen which is a criticism onto human male's egoisms and slightly exposes the gender equality to human female. Ibsen aims to reveal the wrong social statements onto female's social role and its social institutions. The main actor in this play will portray Nora by applying the "magic if" acting theory which was introduced by Constantin Stanislavsky - "as if" and "if only" kind of self-imagination where the actor imagines to be in Nora's shoes. In the application of this theory of acting, the exploration goes through certain levels of acting rehearsals to really get into the character of Nora's along with her conflicts. Key word: A Doll's House, Henrik Ibsen, Nora, Constantin Stanislavsky, Magic If.

Women often has a bad experience. Rose Thomas, a 22-year-old young prostitute is faced a very difficult position. Rose is a street prostitute and already has children. In addition, she must also earn a living in the middle of TB disease she suffered. Even physical violence seemed to be common to her. This condition is trying to be presented in the script The Web by Eugene O'Neill translation Faried W. Abe, where humans already have their own trap. When fate is willing, we can not escape. Problems will always come and go. In playing this script, the actor uses the realist acting theory Stanislavski to try to bring human behavior fairly on stage. This essay provides a new approach to reading actress memoirs in light of the influence of environmental thinking on Victorian culture more broadly and acting theory in particular. By demonstrating that actress autobiographies were written within a discursive domain that understood human temperaments and biographical trajectories to be fundamentally shaped by social and physical surroundings, I examine how renowned actresses narrate the conditions within which their temperament developed. In order to do so, I first examine the entanglement of environment and character in novels about actress protagonists in order to develop a framework for analysing the narrative qualities of actress memoirs. This essay focuses specifically on the trope of the ‘wild’ girl who, undisciplined by parents or teachers, develops a sensitive yet wilful and even anti-social temperament that enables her to become an actress praised for her authentic displays of spontaneous emotion.
