The study aims to identify the level of Teacher Attitudes Toward Change (TATC) among teachers in National Schools (NS) at Peninsular Malaysia. In particular, this study aims to identify TATC levels based on Cognitive, Affective, and Behavioral dimensions. This study applied a quantitative method using a survey approach. A total of 384 teachers of NS were involved in this study. The study employed descriptive statistics by obtaining the mean score and standard deviation. The findings of the study revealed that the TATC’s level as a whole was located in the quadrants of Acceptance (Mean=4.38, SD=.57). In addition, the findings of the study showed that the Cognitive (Mean=4.53, SD=.71), Affective (Mean=4.18, SD=.68), and Behavioral dimension (Mean=4.43, SD=.59) of TATC were also located at the quadrant of Acceptance. The study contributes to the teachers' understanding of the importance of their attitudes toward changes in the school. The findings of the study also provide information to the related parties to plan appropriate training programmes to enhance TATC in school.

Objective: The aim of the present study was to characterize fatigue in women with breast cancer who underwent chemotherapy treatment under the behavioral dimension of the Revised Piper Scale. Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach, conducted at the Outpatient Clinic of a Breast Pathology Clinic of the Pernambuco Cancer Hospital (PCH). The data collection procedure was performed through the Free and Informed Consent Term (FICT) for each of the 317 women and subsequently responded to the collection instrument for the Piper Revised Fatigue Scale. Results: Results show that fatigue interferes with the ability to complete work or school activities significantly in women. Regarding the intensity of stress caused by fatigue, it was found that 117 women (36.9%) answered values equal to or lower than the cutoff point, while 200 women (63.1%) scored values in the range of five to ten. Conclusion: The importance of further studies that address the impact of side effects of chemotherapy treatments on women's lives is highlighted, as it directly and indirectly reflects on the emotional state, favoring increased stress and, consequently, increasing the prevalence of fatigue.

Using the theory of motivation, and the theory of planned behavior, this study establishes the “motivation-cognition-behavior” model of green utilization of agricultural waste from the perspective of farmers. In the motivational dimension, eight motivational factors were determined in three sub-dimensions of extrinsic motivation. In the cognitive dimension, three sub-dimensions of subjective norms, behavioral attitude, and perceived behavioral control are also determined. In the behavioral dimension, two sub-dimensions of utilization intention and utilization behavior are specified. Methodologically, a questionnaire on the green utilization of agricultural waste of 704 peasant households in five provinces of Jiangsu, Anhui, Shaanxi, Gansu, and Sichuan was administered. With the help of the structural equation model, the influence path and the internal mechanism was then analyzed. It is shown that: (1) in relation to the “motivational dimension → cognitive dimension,” extrinsic motivation significantly promotes the cultivation of farmers’ subjective norms, in which positive broken windows theory has a positive effect. In contrast, negative broken windows theory has a negative one. In intrinsic motivation, the behavior attitude of farmers is negative. In the response analysis, farmers can realize that their ability, self-efficacy, response efficacy, and response cost all have a positive impact on farmers’ perceived behavioral control. (2) In relation of the “cognitive dimension → behavioral dimension,” behavioral attitude slightly hinders utilization intention, while subjective norms and perceived behavioral control all contribute to a stronger utilization intention; the utilization intention maintains a positive correlation with the utilization behavior.

User influence has always been a major topic in the field of social networking. At present, most of the research focuses on three aspects: topological structure, social-behavioral dimension, and topic dimension and most of them ignore the difference between the audience. These models do not consider the impact of personality differences on user influences. To meet this need, this paper introduces the personality traits factor and proposes a user influence model which integrates personality traits (IPUIM) under a strong connection. The user influence measurement is constructed through the information dimension, structural dimension, and user behavioral dimension. The personality report of the user group is obtained by means of NEO-PI-R (The big five personality inventory, Chinese edition) and machine learning method, and it is integrated into the user influence model. The experiment proves that the model proposed in this paper has good accuracy and applicability in measuring user influence, and can effectively identify the key opinion leaders of different personality trait clusters.

Compatibility in activity preferences refers to the shared enjoyment of daily activities, such as walking and interacting with others, and it is an indicator of the behavioral dimension of compatibility, which mainly refers to exercise and play. It has been found that individuals who are more compatible with their dogs have a better relationship with them, which can explain some of the benefits of human-dog interaction. However, research to explain how and why human-animal relationships are potentially therapeutic is still needed. The objective of this quantitative study was to compare the benefits of human-dog interaction for both humans and dogs between people who were and were not compatible with their dogs. Ninety people with scores of 50% or less on the compatibility index and 110 people with 100% compatibility participated in the study. The groups were compared using the Mann-Whitney U test. The people in the group with greater compatibility reported more subjective happiness and less perceived stress, a stable dog-feeding routine, and more frequent daily walks and playing sessions; additionally, for their dogs, they reported a lower frequency of aggressive and fearful behaviors and higher trainability scores. In conclusion, compatibility in activity preferences helps explain the benefits of human–animal interaction.

Incontinence in childhood in either of its forms, enuresis and encopresis, is one of the most prevalent and distressing of all childhood problems. Due to widespread misunderstanding, incontinence is a significant precipitating factor in the mistreatment of afflicted children. Interpretations of and treatments for enuresis and encopresis have shifted in the past few decades from a mostly psychopathological perspective to a biobehavioral perspective. Although the primary clinical features of incontinence are medical/organic, environmental and psychosocial elements are factors, and the most empirically supported treatments have a significant behavioral dimension. This chapter reviews the literatures on enuresis and encopresis with attention focused on clinical description, causes and correlates, assessment, treatment, challenges, and implications for practice. Case examples are included to illustrate these features.

This chapter provides an overview of research on the behavioral dimension of low socioeconomic status and a set of theoretical and empirical principles for better understanding it. In particular, the chapter focuses on those behaviors that are claimed to exacerbate a situation of poverty or deprivation, such as poor academic performance, myopic financial decisions, early child-bearing, consumption of unhealthy foods, and engaging in unhealthy lifestyle habits. Though such behavioral patterns have been used to make claims as to the defective values or motives of the poor, the chapter argues that studying them rigorously, aided by the experimental method, leads to a more nuanced and accurate picture, in which psychology is systematically shaped by socioeconomic position. After reviewing evidence from education, public health, and behavioral economics concerning the behavioral dimension of low socioeconomic status, the chapter suggests an organizing set of mechanisms that might structure a comprehensive explanatory account of it.

This study aims to examine the textbook “Genki I: An Integrated Course in Elementary Japanese” in terms of cultural elements. The data of this qualitative research were collected by means of the document review method. Content analysis, one of the qualitative analysis techniques, was used in the evaluation of the research data. A second coding was carried out by a second researcher to ensure the reliability of the study. The categories in the study were formed in the line of the cultural product, thought and behavior classifications developed by Tomalin & Stempleski (1993). In addition, the tools for cultural instruction, as taught by Qu (2010), Frank (2013), Peterson & Coltrane (2003), have helped to create the relevant codes. In comparison of the cultural elements in the textbook “Genki I: an Integrated Course in Elementary Japanese”, this study found that the textbook emphasizes more on the elements related to behavioral dimension of the culture, but does not give much room for the elements related to belief dimension. Also, the textbook “Genki I: an Integrated Course in Elementary Japanese” was observed to use the device of “describing and explaining the culture”, at most.
