The author of the article understands lyrical discourses/texts as holistic speech acts, generated by inflamed emotions and a wide range of strong emotional affects which are certainly essentially interactive by nature. The notion of an authocommunicative (in a broader sense – lyrical) speech genre crossover embraces literary and colloquial, primary and secondary speech genres in the form of monologues and dialogues. The permanent feature of all of them is their special insightful stylistic expressiveness. Internal speech, in case it is used by a competent user capable of creative figurative thinking, when addressed to the proper addressee turns from the thing in itself to the thing (discourse/text) for those who are entitled and those who know. The proper addressee is a desirable communicative and emotional category which in this case presupposes openness to those whose are ready for a thorough sincere internal dialogue with the given lyrically coloured speech act. Lyrical discourses/texs of a speech genre crossover may be characterized through the universal psychological-semantic triad of attention – joint participation – discovery. Absorbing selflessly into a lyrical text we wire up our attention to the original intonations of the author’s state of mind and mood. This is followed by a noticeably updated personal experience of the addressee, initiating new individual evaluative feelings, directly or indirectly related to the dynamics of the author’s intentions. Eventually, comes the final chord which is able to transfer the discovery of sensory and conceptual author’s intentions. The integral perception of perfect lyrical discourses/texts introduces us to numerous cultural practices of phatic and informational interactions invigoratingly influencing authocommunictive aptitudes of the person, which at long last facilitates their free emotional and intellectual enhancement.

Esenin’s poems depicting landscapes always emphasize the kinship of man and nature. Among the trees that the poet uses as symbols, priority belongs to the birch. The paper examines the concept of the birch in Esenin’s early and mature poetry, the mood betrayed by the imagery of each verse, his philosophical contemplation expressed directly or obliquely. The author points out specific challenges of translating Esenin heritage into Chinese exemplified by verses containing the image of the birch. The paper discusses ways of overcoming translation challenges so that translation matches the original in its musical effect, rhythmic structure and rhyme pattern. The hardest challenge is that of preserving the poet’s voice, his integral perception of the world expressed through metaphorical language and general poetic composition.

The COVID-19 pandemic temporarily overshadowed all the previous concerns of the world community, and among them even existential challenges. The attitude towards sustainable development issues has moved into the “deferred demand” zone. The pandemic pushed the offensive and exacerbated the effect of another crisis in the global economy. At the same time, it is symptomatic that during the pandemic a significant improvement in the environmental situation was felt as a result of the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and the release of other harmful production wastes. At the same time, the pandemic has accentuated the biomedical safety imperative and will inevitably make a corresponding adjustment to the list of top priorities for moving towards sustainable development goals. After the pause of the pandemic, the imperative of transition to a sustainable development regime will begin to act with significant intensification, bearing in mind the need to compensate for the loss of time and pace. Ensuring biomedical safety will be a special priority. The lessons of the pandemic convincingly confirm the understanding that real success in moving towards sustainable development goals in accordance with the 2030 Agenda cannot be imagined without the normalization of international relations and the establishment of broad cooperation in a global format. At the same time, the author proceeds from the integral perception of the concept of sustainable development. Summing up the pre-pandemic stage of the formation of the concept of sustainable development, its essence can be expressed as follows. Development will be sustainable if it is economically balanced, socially inclusive and balanced, environmentally responsible, biologically safe, institutionally oriented to the interests of the majority and respect for the rights of the minority. If at the same time it is assumed and guaranteed that the use of weapons of mass destruction will be excluded if the urge for military solutions to international conflicts fades. And, of course, on such a platform, debt to the future is unacceptable, as it was said. This, of course, is the ideal, and practice is determined and will be determined by a greater or lesser approximation to it.

The article presents a study of the historical foundations of the chronicle novel ”The Vanishing Shadows. A Family Chronicle” by Valeriy Shevchuk. The attention is focused on the writer’s interpretation of historical events in the late 18th century. The social and ideological, discursive processes of the reproduced historical period are analyzed. An integral perception of the history of our country is presented in an inseparable connection between the past and the present. The critical moments in Ukrainian history were outlined as the background against which some urgent, vital problems of either a single individual or the whole ethnic group were shown. Particular characters are correlated with the historical figures, with historical truth being confirmed both indetails and in the general picture of represented reality. Special stress is placed on the artistic depiction of intrinsic motives of the members of the ancient noble family of Temnytskyi. The article discusses the issues of nation-building in the context of social destruction and imperial enslavement. We also propose a new paradigm of human spiritual existence that was inspired by Schevchuk’s work, and explore the ideas of national self-identification as a spiritual rather than caste community, and of the quest for national unity embarked on by intelligentsia as the leader of the nation.
