Generalized Methodology Application for System Design

The design process for analogue circuit design is formulated on the basis of the optimum control theory. The artificially introduced special control vector is defined for the redistribution of computational costs between network analysis and parametric optimization. This redistribution minimizes computer time. The problem of the minimal-time network design can be formulated in this case as a classical problem of the optimal control for some functional minimization. There is a principal difference between the new approach and before elaborated methodology. This difference is based on a higher level of the problem generalization. In this case the structural basis of design strategies is more complete and this circumstance gives possibility to obtain a great value of computer time gain. Numerical results demonstrate the effectiveness and prospects of a more generalized approach to circuit optimization. This approach generalizes the design process and generates an infinite number of the different design strategies that will serve as the structural basis for the minimal time algorithm construction. This paper is advocated to electronic systems built with transistors. The main equations for the system design process were elaborated.

PHYSICS OF MOSFET NANOTRANSISTORS: FUNDAMENTAL LIMITS AND RESTRICTIONS

In the last one from the series of the tutorial review articles, devoted to physics of modern nanotransistors and aimed to serve reseachers, ingeneers, students and teachers in the universities, it is demonstrated that the existence of the minimal energy for recording of 1 bite of information leads to fundamental restriction on minimal MOSFET channel length and on minimal time of transistor swithching. The obtained simple estimation Lmin = 1.2 nm (for room temperature) is somewhat lower, than in reality, and it looks like that Si FETs with a channel shorter than 2.5–3 nm would newer be fabricated. This correlates with the results of numerical modeling of electron transport through the channel, which demonstrate that for short channels the greater part of current passes by tunneling below the barrier top, and the transistor loses its functionality, because the current in source-drain circuit is no longer governed by gate voltage.

Application of the clarke-wright algorithm in determining tsunami disaster evacuation route in Purworejo district

The potentials for tsunami in Indonesia are spread over many areas, one of which is Purworejo. Purworejo has a high tsunami potential because it is located on the Indo-Australian plate. In Central Java, Purworejo occupies the 3rd position in the tsunami-prone area. Therefore, a route is needed to evacuate the population to mitigate the tsunami. This research focuses on two sub-districts, namely Ngombol and Purwodadi. The problems in this paper are: (1) Which points can be used as evacuation sites (2) How to model tsunami evacuation routes with graphs (3) What are the optimal evacuation routes. The method used to find the evacuation route is the VRP with time window. The algorithm used is Clarke Wright algorithm. The optimal evacuation route is obtained if all points are evacuated with minimal time and distance. From nine final evacuation points, only 4 points that fulfill criteria for the shortest distance and can be accessed by vehicles. There are eight final routes with minimum time of 42 minutes. Each of depots B3 and C2 has 3 routes. Whereas each of depots C4 and C5 has 1 route.

Metrological support of maintenance by the technical state of communication means

Modern and prospective communication means are among the most knowledge-driven, high-tech types of industrial products, which are subject to enhanced requirements for quality and efficiency of application. The effective functioning of modern communication means is provided by built-in software, including metrological support. In this paper, we consider the specifics of metrological maintenance of large-scale communication facilities (tens and hundreds of thousands of elements) consisting of separate subunits, the serviceability, maintenance, and recovery of which can be performed autonomously. It is proposed to enhance the efficiency of the by-state-maintenance (also called maintenance by the technical state) by accounting for the specifics of metrological support, establishing an optimal sequence of operations, selecting the measuring instruments in accordance with relevant requirements. To do this, one has to use a combined indicator composed of individual parameters of the tests and the probability of their preferred choice. This allows to assess the technical condition of the communication means with a given probability during a minimal time. In addition, one can estimate the time of maintenance, taking into account the metrological reliability and the probability of correct evaluation of the result of checking the parameters by the measuring instruments. The order of implementation of the obtained results is formalized in the form of an algorithm and an example of their realization is presented.

Null controllability and finite-time stabilization in minimal time of one-dimensional first-order 2×2 linear hyperbolic systems

The goal of this article is to present the minimal time needed for the null controllability and finite-time stabilization of one-dimensional first-order 2×2 linear hyperbolic systems. The main technical point is to show that we cannot obtain a better time. The proof combines the backstepping method with the Titchmarsh convolution theorem.

Penalty function method for the minimal time crisis problem

In this note, we propose a new method to approximate the minimal time crisis problem using an auxiliary control and a penalty function, and show its convergence to a solution to the original problem. The interest of this approach is illustrated on numerical examples for which optimal trajectories can leave and enter the crisis set tangentially.

Options localization of the contrailer terminal

The subject of the study is the study of technically possible localization options for the contrailer terminal. The relevance is related to the practical need to improve the organization of the station through its track and territorial development.Used analytical, design methods, evolutionary and functional approach.Using the evolutionary-functional approach, alternative, technically possible options for improving the operation of the station were identified, taking into account the location of the contrailer terminal as part of the transport hub.The possible options for the station’s development were critically evaluated. It was found that option 1 is located close to the station and requires minimal time to perform shunting operations. The advantages of option 2: the proximity of a year-round working seaport; a large free area for construction and no intersection with the main tracks of the station. It is noted that the final decision is possible only after the economic assessment of the options.
