The Effect of Inflation, Rupiah Exchange Rate, Interest Rate, Money Supply, Industry Production Index, Dow Jones Islamic Market Index in Malaysia and Japan on ISSI

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of inflation, rupiah exchange rate, interest rate, money supply, industry production index, Dow Jones Islamic Market Index Malaysia and Japan on ISSI. This research used secondary time series data which is accessed from the official website of ISSI. The sampling technique used a saturated sample with 62 observations. The research method uses descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that inflation has a negative but not significant effect on ISSI. The Rupiah exchange rate, interest rate, and DJIJP have a negative and significant effect on ISSI. The money supply, industrial production index, and DJMY25D have a positive and significant effect on ISSI.

PREDICTING NPLs FOR CROATIA WITH MACROECONOMIC VARIABLES

This paper aims to examine some of the macroeconomic drivers of nonperforming loans (NPL) in Croatia. Unemployment rate, industrial production index, construction works volume and the number of tourist arrivals were evaluated as the drivers on a quarterly data sample from 2008q4 to 2020q4. Following quantile regression approach, unemployment rates and construction works volume appeared as significant drivers of NPL in Croatia. Furthermore, empirical findings from this paper suggest asymmetric effects on NPL from its drivers. While decrease in construction works volume and increase in unemployment rates were found to correspond with increase in NPL, an increase in construction works volume and decrease in unemployment rates were not correlated with decrease in NPL. Consequently, the paper brings implications for credit institutions in Croatia within the context of COVID-19 pandemic crises.

Comparison of Aceh cow’s performance on different mating systems at BPTU HPT Indrapuri, Aceh Province, Indonesia

This research aimed to compare Aceh cow’s performance on different mating systems at BPTU HPT Indrapuri, Indonesia. This research uses 202 Aceh cows with varying systems of mating; natural mating (164 cows), and artificial insemination (AI; 38 cows). Cow’s performance data included birth weight, postpartum mating, calving interval, weaning weight, Cow Reproduction Index (CRI), and Cow Production Index (CPI), obtained from the recording in 2014-2019 and calculation. This research uses the Oneway Anova test to analyze the cow’s performance between mating systems. The results of the cow’s performance included birth weight, postpartum mating, calving interval, weaning weight, CRI, and CPI for natural mating system were 14.32±1.41 kg, 265.61±260.0 days, 558,.21±260.07 days, 54.32±19.32 kg, 0.69 calf/cow/year and 37,48 kg/cow/year respectively, while for AI system were 14,98±1,38 kg, 289.34±285,.06 days, 581.94±285.06 days, 59.10±21.83 kg, 0.70 calf/cow/year dan 41.37 kg/kg/cow/year. The results showed that the performance of the Aceh cows with natural mating dan artificial insemination was relatively the same.

Application of VECM on livestock production index, carbon dioxide damage, arable land, population growth, and GDP growth in Indonesia

Environmental effects due to carbon dioxide in Indonesia tend to increase and arable lands are shrinking. These things are accompanied by population and economic growth, making the need for food higher so that the livestock production index increases. After the economic crisis caused by the subprime mortgage, the livestock production index gradually recovered and increased consistently in 2009-2018. However, it turns out that the contribution of the livestock sector to the economy in 2011-2013 was still below the agricultural and plantation sectors. The purpose of this research was to analyze the cointegration and causality relationship of livestock production index, carbon dioxide damage, arable land, population growth, and GDP growth using the VECM method for time series data from 1970-2018. The results show that there was cointegration between variables. The causality test shows that population growth and carbon dioxide damage affect each other. Meanwhile, the livestock production index on population growth has a one-way causality pattern. Arable land on carbon dioxide damage also has a oneway causality pattern. In general, the VECM model shows that there is a long-term relationship between the variables that were used in this research.

Effect replacement of soybean meal with the sesame meal as a protein source and adding of phytase enzyme to the diet on production performance and some physiological blood indicators of quail bird in the growth stage: تأثير استبدال كسبة فول الصويا بكسبة السمسم كمصدر بروتيني وإضافة انزيم الفايتيز إلى العليقة في الأداء الإنتاجي وبعض مؤشرات الدم الفسلجية لطائر السمان في مرحلة النمو

The study was conducted in the field of poultry in the Animal Production Department/ College of Agriculture and Forestry/ University of Mosul, aimed to study the effect of replacing soybean meal(SBM) with sesame meal(SSM) as a protein source and adding the phytase enzyme to the diet on productive performance and some physiological blood indicators of quail birds in the growth stage. five hundred quail birds were used at the age of one week unsexed and distributed randomly into ten treatments, each treatment was five replicates, ten birds for each replicate, birds reared until 42 days old. The experimental treatments were replacement of SBM with SSM in (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100%) without or with the addition of phytase (300 unit phytase/ kg diet). The results showed that there was no significant effect of replacement the sesame meal at rates that reached (75%) without or with the addition of phytase in the final live weight and weight gain as compared to the negative control (0% SSM without phytase). Significant improvement (P≤0.05) in feed conversion ratio for the two replacement treatments (50 and 75% SSM without phytase) compared to the negative control and a significant improvement for the replacement treatments (25, 50 and 75% SSM with addition of phytase) compared to the negative and positive controls. And there was a significant improvement in the production index in favor of the two replacement treatments (50 and 75% SSM with addition of phytase) as compared to the negative control only. The results showed a significant deterioration when replacing the sesame meal instead of soybean meal by (100%) without or with the addition of phytases in live body weight, weight gain, relative growth rate and production Index as well as a decrease in the percentage abdominal fat compared to the negative and positive controls and a decrease in %PCV as compared to only negative control. The replacement treatment (100% SSM without phytase) recorded a significant increase in dressing percentage as compared to the two controls. The results of this study showed the possibility of replacing soybean meal with sesame meal by up to 75% without or with the addition of phytase enzyme to the diets of quail in the growth stage without any negative effects on production performance.

ANALYSIS OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ECONOMIC GROWTH, INFLATION AND UNEMPLOYMENT IN TURKEY WITH THE ARDL BOUNDS TESTING APPROACH

The aim of this study is to examine the effects of economic growth and inflation on unemployment for the period 2005:1- 2020:9 in Turkey by using ARDL (Auto Regressive Distributed Lag) model. In the study, firstly unit root tests were carried out to determine whether economic growth (ind) and inflation (cpi) have long and short-term effects on unemployment (unemp). Then, the ARDL method was used to determine whether there is a long-term relationship between the series in the model where the unemployment rate is the dependent variable, the Industrial Production Index representing economic growth and the Consumer Price Index (CPI) representing inflation. Instead of GDP, the Industrial Production Index was preferred both to harmonize with the monthly data and to make a production-based analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that there was a statistically significant cointegration relationship between the variables, and the short-term relationship was analyzed with the error correction model (ECM). As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that there is a cointegration relationship between unemployment, inflation rate and economic growth in Turkey. According to the results of the analysis, negative between unemployment and industrial production index; It is seen that there is a positive relationship between unemployment and inflation.

DAIRY INDEX OF COWS WITH DIFFERENT GENOTYPES

The live weight and milk production index of black-and-white and Tatarstan type cows of the Kholmogory breed with different genotypes for genes CSN3, DGAT1, PRL, GH were studied. It was found that cows with the homozygous genotype CSN3 AA, DGAT1 AA, PRL AA, GH LL are characterized by a high milk yield index. Unlike other marker genes, the somatotropin gene had a greater effect on the body weight and milk production index of cows. Thus, in terms of live weight in the black-and-white breed, the superiority of individuals with the GH LL genotype by 43 kg (P <0.001), GH LV by 42 kg (P <0.001) was noted, and in terms of milk production, the advantage of cows with the GH LL genotype (984 and 1008) over GH LV by 40 (P <0.01); on the Kholmogory breed above GH LV by 26 (P <0.05), GH VV by 42 (P <0.05). Consequently, cows with allelic A variant of the CSN3, DGAT1, PRL genes and allelic L GH genes in their genomes exhibit high milk production at optimal live weight.
