Being bitten by the container mosquitoes Aedes aegypti and Ae. albopictus means a higher risk of becoming infected with Zika, dengue, or chikungunya virus. Container mosquitoes develop in the water that collects in discarded tires, jars, cans, buckets, and boats. The best way to prevent irritating bites and dangerous mosquito-transmitted illnesses is to get rid of all trash that holds water. This 6-page fact sheet written by Amy Hallock, Eva A. Buckner, Ricky W. Telg, and Alena R. Poulin and published by the UF/IFAS Entomology and Nematology Department is packed with recommendations that will help you to successfully develop and host a cleanup event to reduce potential mosquito larval habitats in your community and keep yourself and your neighbors safe.

The relevance and heuristic value of the article lies in the fact that the materials presented in it will give reason to researchers, scientific supervisors of graduate students, organizers of science and the graduate students themselves to understand how to ensure the highest productivity of training highly qualified personnel, to increase the prestige of research activities. The problem of a modern graduate student is not that he is not able to generalize well-known materials and that he cannot offer something new in his field of knowledge, but how to check the effectiveness of what is offered as organically «fit» theory into experimental designs. Simply put, how to build a relevant experiment. It is in this that the main value of the materials presented in the article is seen, which will help the subjects of this process most reasonably approach the choice of approaches to the organization of postgraduate training, methods and techniques of experimental research, building its content and presenting the results. The subject of the work is the mechanisms (approaches, methods, means) of studying the readiness of graduate students for research activities in the context of scenario-event organization of the educational process. The novelty of the work is that it shows how one of the main components of the productivity of postgraduate training – readiness for research activities can be qualimetrically evaluated by measuring three components: the level of selfrealization; motivation and formation of relevant competencies. The practical significance of the work is seen in the application of scenario approach models to the preparation of graduate students and the incorporation of various «events» into these models, in the systematic construction of the main stages of the experimental work and the interpretation of its results for each of the measured parameters.

In the current integration as deep, cultural promotion is an indispensable trend of most countries in the world in the strategy of expanding international relations and developing countries in all aspects. Cultural promotion is capable of addressing the great challenges of the era towards sustainability, such as challenges of poverty, backwardness, instability, and conflict. When the cultures of countries are in contact with each other, the promotion of culture is really necessary. For Vietnam, cultural promotion is an effective means of cultural globalization and a positive measure for Vietnam to build and expand Vietnam's soft power to the world. In recent years, Vietnam has had many activities to promote international cooperation relations with Japan, especially in the early years of the 21st century. This article confirms in the context of the promotion strategy of Vietnamese culture to Japan, tourism activities, and event organization as important channels to attract mutual understanding between the two countries. It also helps promote the image of the country, people, and culture of Vietnam to Japan. Since then, this will create a strong international relationship between the two countries and create favorable development conditions for Vietnam in the world.

Drawing upon an in-depth analysis of two bio-tech annual conferences in Israel, we explicate the exertion of power in convening. Event organization involves three narrative mechanisms: (1) telling stories which construct the field, and enacting them through different genres that channel participants to perform these stories in the unfolding of the event; (2) setting the stage and a space of possibilities for certain stories to be told in certain ways, and limiting others; and (3) grounding the stories in meta-narratives that confer plausibility on some of them over others. Our contribution lies in explicating how diverse narrative mechanisms allow organizers to exert various faces of power in organizing an event, how organizers use power to construct their own and others’ resources, and how power is used not only through words, but also through space and embodiment. Taken together, self-serving constructions of the field are turned into a taken-for-granted reality, while constraining participants’ ability to negotiate or refute it.

The value for an active sport tourist is directly embedded in the co-creation of his/her experience with the event and the destination. This study argues that individual travel resources enable an active sport tourist to create value with the event organization and, through flow-on tourism, the destination provider. The study explores the impact of the active sport tourists’ travel resources on the co-creation of the event experience by testing whether they influence the event and/or the destination loyalty. Understanding these interrelationships is imperative, as the active sport tourists’ loyalty can help achieve a competitive advantage for the event and the destination service providers. A survey of 649 active sport tourists was conducted. The results indicated that sport event attributes played a role in the creation of the active sport tourists’ experiences through sharing and integrating of their travel resources. The findings also showed that the event loyalty of active sport tourists enhances their destination loyalty. The study suggests that destination marketers should exploit the sport event by bundling destination attributes that extend opportunities for co-creation that may lead to lengthened stays and more spending at the event destination.

Full assurance of safety during mass events is a complex process, subject to provisions of generally applicable law. These provisions regulate in detail all basic obligations and requirements provided for this particular kind of events. However, in the course of time some of the regulations provided for in the Polish legal system gave rise to doubts about their specificity. In this paper the authors discuss and clarify the areas which are necessary to ensure the highest level of safety of sports events i.e. the circulation of information during the preparation, organization and execution phase of the event, organization of evacuation as well as cooperation of organizers with entities designated for protection. The study is of utilitarian character and it encourages extensive discussion related to the field of provision of safety during sports events.
