The aim of this study was describing higher students’ ability in writing narration text on their blog. This study method is descriptive quantitative. The data was collected from the 30 higher students in mathematic department of education faculty in Universitas Tompotika Luwuk by asking them to write narration text on their blog. The students were asked to write narration text on their blog that they had chosen. In analyzing the data, I focus on ideas, richness of content, rhetorical features, organization, language control, and mechanism. From the data analyzed, it found that the students’ ability is 399,31 or 66,55% which is classified as high category. From the data calculation, I found that the students’ writing components are as follow: ideas is 98 or 65,33%, richness of content is 86 or 57,33%, rhetorical features is 121 or 80,66%, organization is 90 or 60%, language control is 83 or 55,33%, and mechanism is 121 or 80,66%. This study result implicates as contribution for the lecture, teacher, and students in teaching and learning narration text

     The search aimed to know the level of inductive thinking among the students of mathematic department in Basic Education College at AL Mustansiriyah University , so if there are differences between both stages and know if there is development of inductive thinkin .The researcher has described four hypotheses  to construct  this ames . The sample of the research has consisted of ( 272 ) students divided to ( 127 ) male students – ( 145 ) female students from the mathematic department - morning study in Basic Education College at AL Mustansiriyah University for the academic year 2014 – 2015  and has been divided into the fourth stage . The researcher has used descriptive research . and adopted test to know  the level of inductive thinking , development consisted of ( 24 ) items multiple choices-four choices , the result ranges from (0.62– 0.85),and reliability  0.76). After applying the tests and processing the data statistically using (z,t) test and two samples , the result has showed :1- There is a reduction of  the level of inductive thinking among all the students of the research sample .2- The achievement of the male students is higher than that of the female students , in a inductive thinking in mathematical .3- There is statistically significant differences among all the students  in a inductive thinking in mathematical department according to stage variable .4- The achievement of the fourth stage (all , male and female) students is higher than that of the first stage students in a inductive thinking in mathematical department , this means that there is a development in the inductive thinking of the students.

Acquiring English, for several students,  can be very tough especially  for student that have already used Indonesia language in daily learning. In this extent, The student are seemed in the boundary of learning not acquiring English. In learning English, the student in Ikip Budi Utomo tend to use Bahasa Indonesia, especially who study English Special Purpose in Ikip Budi Utomo.  Making use of Bahasa Indonesia might help them a lot in learning English. The researcher, then, was eager to figure out in what way the students who study English Special Purpose in Mathematic department were assisted by Bahasa Indonesia in learning English Special Purpose. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research design.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesalahan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri euclide khususnya pada kasus pembuktian. Analisis yang digunakan berdasarkan pada Newmann Error Analysis yang meliputi reading error, comprehension error, transformation error, process skill error dan encoding error. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo yang sedang menempuh mata kuliah geometri euclide pada semester ganjil tahun akademik 2016/2017. Jenis dan pendekatan dalam penelitian ini yaitu jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan metode dokumentasi, tes dan wawancara. Analisis dilakukan dengan menganalisis hasil tes kemudian wawancara dengan beberapa mahasiswa dengan tipe kesalahan yang berbeda-beda. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa kesalahan mahasiswa terletak pada kesalahan teori/konsep dasar serta ketidaklengkapan justifikasi pada setiap langkah yang digunakan dalam pembuktian.This research aim to analyse the student error, when they solve the problems of euclidean geometry especially proofs. That is based on Newmann Error Analysis, such as error reading, error comprehension, error transformation, error skill process and error encoding. This research was conducted toward the student of Mathematic Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo who studied euclidean geometry in 2016/2017. This research was descriptive research with qualitative approach. Documentation method, interview and test was used to gathering data. The analysis process had been doing by analysed the student result test, and then interviewed with some student with different error type. The result of this research was misconception of previous concept and incompletely the justification of every proofs step.

This qualitative descriptive study aimed to describe the profile of math problem solving based on mathematic communication. This research was conducted at Mathematic department IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro. Selection of subjects using a questionnaire mathematic communication is classified as high, medium, and low. Analysis of data over the troubleshooting tests, questionnaires and interviews, as well as the validity of test data using triangulation of data sources and triangulation techniques. Based on the results of the research: 1) Students who have high levels of mathematic comunication high differ in solving a mathematical problem that is at the stage of understanding the issue and re-examine the final answer, 2) Students are who have medium levels of mathematic communication having the difference in solving a mathematical problem that is at the stage of planning completion, implementation settlement plan, and phase re-examine the final answer, 3) students are who have low levels of mathematic communication having the difference in solving a mathematical problem that is at the stage of understanding the problem and students were less confident when solving problems.

The objective of this study is to analyze the effect of self efficacyand entreprenuership knowledge on entreprenuer willing throught motivation. The population of this study are student of STKIP PGRI Tulungagung in Civies Education Program, Mathematic department and economic department that consist of 619 student. Then the sample taken are 243 student. Open and closed question are used as collecting data technique Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) is used as a method of data analysis. And use problabing sample method. The finding shows that: 1) self efficacy is not significantly effect on student motivation, 2) self efficacy effect significantly on student willing, 3) entreprenuership knowledge effect significantly on student motivation, 4) entreprenuership knowledge is not significantly effect on student entreprenuer willing, 5) motivation effect on student entreprenuer willing, 6) motivation do not fuction as mediation variable on the effect of self efficacy and entreprenuership knowledge on student willing of entreprenuer

Abstrak:  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses metakognisi mahasiswa calon guru dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksploratif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Melalui wawancara mendalam peneliti menggali tentang hal-hal yang mempengaruhi terjadinya proses metakognisi subjek. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa calon guru Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas HKBP Nommensen yang bergaya kognitif reflektif dan yang bergaya kognitif impulsif. Untuk menentukan gaya kognitif reflektif-impulsif digunakan Matching Familiar Figure Test. Masalah matematika dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari masalah matematika formal dan masalah matematika kontekstual. Data yang sudah valid dianalisis dengan memperhatikan bagaimana proses metakognisi subjek terhadap permasalahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses metakognisi subjek yang bergaya kognitif reflektif berbeda dengan proses metakognisi subjek yang bergaya kognitif impulsif, baik dalam masalah matematika formal maupun matematika kontekstual. Kata kunci: metakognisi, pemecahan masalah, gaya kognitif TEACHERS’ CANDIDATE METACOGNITION THAT HAS REFLECTIVE AND IMPULSIVE COGNOTIVE STYLE IN SOLVING MATHEMATIC PROBLEM Abstract: The purpose of this research was to describe the college students’ metacognition as a teacher candidate in solving mathematic problem. This research was explorative with qualitative approach. By doing deep interviewing method, the researcher found out the causes that affected the subject’s metacognition. The subject of research was the college students as teacher candidate in Mathematic Department in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Nommensen University that had reflective and impulsive cognitive style. To determine reflective and impulsive cognitive style, it used Matching Familiar Figure Test. The problem in this research was consisted of two, namely formal and contextual mathematic problem. The valid data has been analyzed by referring how the subject metacognition process in solving the problem. The result showed that the subject metacognition process with reflective cognitive style is different with impulsive cognitive style, even in formal or contextual mathematic problem. Keywords: metacognition, problem solving, cognitive style

This paper discusses about Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) using Mamdani method to recommend the choice of major field for students of Mathematics department Unsoed. The method of Mamdani consist of a fuzzification, an application of the implication functions, composition of rules, and defuzzification. The input of fuzzification is score of some compulsary subjects for each field. The application of implication function used min implication, while the composition rule is based on PAP in Mathematic department Unsoed. The defuzzification required score of some compulsary subjects for each field as input and the recommend score of each major field as output. Based on the output, a student of Mathematic department Unsoed is able to choose a major field according to his/her score.

Realtzing that many people, even school administrator, regard mathematics beyond arithmetic as a subject with neither cultural nor practical value, we of the mathematic department of Thomas Jefferson High School decided to make the topic of our second annual exhibit: “The Practical Application of Mathematics in Various Occupations and Industries.” We knew that mere statements of facts would receive little attention—there must be something to attract the eye, and we felt that the statements would be more convincing if they came from buiness men. Our first problem, thefore, was to devise a pleasing scheme for getting the attention of the public in order to sell the idea that all high school mathematics is practical and to stimulate appreciation of the fact that nearly all “big business” uses higher mathematics. Our next problem was to secure the cooperation of various business concerns.
