This article is an analysis the legal regulations concerning conducting security proceedings in guardianship matters. An attempt has been made to prove that the purpose of the interim proceedings is to secure the interests of the applicant party and it becomes an instrument of achieving goals in a given proceeding. This study illustrates the issues of securing the minor’s place of residence, as well as securing contacts in guardianship proceedings, and also taking advantage of technological opportunities to maintain family ties.

Examination of the Opinions of Physical Education and Sports Teachers Working in Private Schools on the Approach of Education, Teaching and Management

The number of private schools in our country is increasing day by day and they are in demand. As a result of this, an education sector with its own unique working conditions and standards has formed. Based on this situation, it is important for the quality of education to reveal the current situation of private schools regarding the education process from a real, impartial, and different perspective. The aim of this study is to determine the remarks of Physical Education teachers working in private schools on education, training, management processes and parent-student relations in Private Schools. The sample group of this study consists of 20 Physical Education teachers working at private schools in Turkey (in the province of Elazig) and selected according to the criterion sampling method, one of the purposive sampling methods. In the research, semi-structured and in-depth interviews were conducted with 20 teachers by using the phenomenology pattern, one of the qualitative research methods. The collected data were analyzed and themed by content and descriptive analysis methods. It has been determined that the assessment and evaluation made in these schools are not objective and do not reflect the truth. However, it has been observed that all kinds of opportunities are offered in order to increase the learning motivation of students in private education institutions, technological opportunities are high and they are used in the field of education, all kinds of sports and social activities are carried out and these have a positive effect on teaching methods and processes It has been determined in these schools that private lessons are given to some students for money and this is common. It has been observed that this situation affects the perspectives of the teachers towards the students and the students towards the teacher and the lesson and some teachers that direct students to learn formulas and memorize them instead of focusing on their thinking strategies and skills. Emphasis is placed on the selection of school administrators. In addition, it has been determined that parents are closely interested in their students and this situation affects student success closely.

Prevention Effect of News Shocks in Anti-Doping Policies

This paper contributes to the debate on anti-doping policies not by evaluating the policy itself but by evaluating the announcement of (new) policy measures. We develop a dynamic model for analyzing the effects of two different types of news shocks: (1) the preannouncement of improved drug testing technological opportunities and (2) the preannouncement of future increases in financial sanctions. We find that the anticipation of policy changes affects the behavior of potentially delinquent athletes. In both scenarios, our simulations show immediately reduced drug abuse among athletes. We conclude that authorities may consider news shocks as an anti-doping strategy.

Noonomy as a Strategical Project

New production technologies create more opportunities to meet people’s needs. However, they inevitably increase the antropogenic load on the environment. Therefore, the social conditions of industrial production have to be changed in such a way as to use the new technologies to solve the emerging problems without aggravating them. One option is to increase the knowledge intensity of production, which means that specific weight of knowledge should be embodied in the production and dominate the material costs. Another option is to replace human functions by automated production means. However, the current social production conditions concentrate new technological opportunities on the production and sales growth, which further increases consumption and the volume of absorbed natural resources. Consumption also grows due to the false needs imposed on consumers. Knowledge-intensive production creates prerequisites for the transition to the second generation industrial society, but this transition alone cannot solve the numerous global problems. The only solution is to replace the current economic criteria of production and consumption with those based on reason and culture, i.e. noonomy, which is a non-economic way of satisfying people’s needs. The roadmap towards noonomy should be a consciously managed strategic project based of the concept of strategizing developed by Professor V.L. Kvint.

Changes in Exosomal miRNA Composition in Thyroid Cancer Cells after Prolonged Exposure to Real Microgravity in Space

As much as space travel and exploration have been a goal since humankind looked up to the stars, the challenges coming with it are manifold and difficult to overcome. Therefore, researching the changes the human organism undergoes following exposure to weightlessness, on a cellular or a physiological level, is imperative to reach the goal of exploring space and new planets. Building on the results of our CellBox-1 experiment, where thyroid cancer cells were flown to the International Space Station, we are now taking advantage of the newest technological opportunities to gain more insight into the changes in cell–cell communication of these cells. Analyzing the exosomal microRNA composition after several days of microgravity might elucidate some of the proteomic changes we have reported earlier. An array scan of a total of 754 miRNA targets revealed more than 100 differentially expressed miRNAs in our samples, many of which have been implicated in thyroid disease in other studies.

Autonomous use of electrical energy by an artificial molecular machine

The ability to exploit energy autonomously is one of the hallmarks of Life. Mastering such processes in artificial nanosystems can open unforeseen technological opportunities. In the last decades, light- and chemically-driven autonomous systems have been developed in relation to conformational motion and self-assembly. On the contrary, the autonomous exploitation of electrical energy remains essentially unexplored, despite being an attractive energy source. Herein we demonstrate the autonomous operation of an electrochemically-powered self-assembling nanomachine. Threading and dethreading motions of a pseudorotaxane take place autonomously in solution, between the electrodes of a scanning electrochemical microscope. This innovative actuation mode allows operating a molecular machine with an energy efficiency of 9%, unprecedented in autonomous systems. The strategy is general and can be applied to any redox-driven system, including molecular pumps that perform work repetitively. Ultimately, our study brings molecular nanoscience one step closer to everyday technology.

Selecting a Green, Agile and Industry 4.0 Supplier With the Fuzzy-Swara-Bwm Integrated Method

Businesses establish supply chains in order to continue their activities. Choosing the suppliers to take part in these supply chains poses many challenges in rapidly changing conditions. Environmental concerns in the public, competitive market structures, and developing technological opportunities affect the decision-making processes. Different criteria are taken into consideration instead of traditional criteria such as cost and service. In this study, green, agile, and Industry 4.0 dimensions and the criteria under these dimensions are defined. According to these, the problem of selecting the supplier that responds to the expectations of the markets and enables them to increase their competitiveness was discussed. Fuzzy SWARA and fuzzy BMW methods were applied in an integrated way to solve the supplier selection problem under these three dimensions. A real case study was also presented. In the study, the results obtained by creating different scenarios were compared and sensitivity analysis was made. The results obtained show that the hybrid method developed in this study is effective in supplier selection problems. As a result of the study, the most important evaluation dimension is "agile" and the most important criterion is "delivery speed".

Experiences of Graduate Students in Turkish Education During the Covid-19 Pandemic Process

The aim of this study is to reveal the experiences of graduate students in the field of Turkish education during the pandemic process. Phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. The sample of the research consists of graduate and doctoral students studying at different universities. Easily accessible case sampling was used to determine the study group. The data of the study were collected with the interview guide prepared by the researchers and given the final shape after the expert opinion was taken. The study group was reached by using internet tools (Zoom) and data were collected. The content analysis of data was made. As a result of the research, it was seen that during the pandemic process graduate students experienced advantages such as increased technological opportunities, accessing to online materials easily, time saving and efficient studying opportunities. However, disadvantages such as inefficient lessons, lack of interaction, inability to focus on lessons, data collection problems, and inability to benefit from libraries were also revealed as problems experienced by graduate students. Students expect technological opportunities to continue, but to ensure normalization in some issues that cannot be resolved with these opportunities. They think that face-to-face education is more qualified, communication is better, and research can be done more effectively.

Anxieties of secondary school students during distance learning in COVID-19 pandemic

As a result of increasing COVID-19 cases all over the world, schools continued to provide education distantly since the beginning of 2020. This immediate shift is considered as both a factor of anxiety and an area of anxiety. This study aims to investigate the underlying reasons of anxieties among secondary school students with regard to five dimensions: health-related issues, technological opportunities, domiciliary conditions, course-related issues and privacy-related issues. A survey design was adopted. The research was carried out with participation of 156 secondary school students of a state school in Istanbul. Data was collected through the Anxiety Sources Questionnaire in Distance Education developed by the researchers. The underlying reasons of anxiety of secondary school students is presented under five categories. The results revealed that students were mainly concerned about face-to-face exams; problems related to devices; isolation; their inefficiency to learn the content and sharing their private settings.
