Model Driven Engineering Applied in E-Learning Development Process

The e-Learning solution is one of the most discussed priorities of modern universities. The whole problem lies in the global approach of which strategy must use to create e-Learning system. This paper describes an evaluation model for some of the existent methodologies based on model driven engineering used to create e-Learning system. The evaluation model is based on a comparative study and multi-criteria analysis: adaptability, transformation process, Bases and standards, Open Distance Learning cycle, model reuse, component reuse, Model Driven Architecture use. The proposed comparative is realized by using the Multi-criteria analysis method: Rank Order Centroid, where we join some of the used characteristics by these methodologies to compare.

Research in the field of e-learning is currently experiencing rapid development, especially due to the covid 19 pandemic. The application of e-learning in the world of education is currently the main thing and requires evaluation of its use. This study aims to determine the evaluation of models and trends in the development of e-learning (Learning Management System). Applying the Kitchenham approach, this System Literature Review (SLR) uses three main databases including Science Direct, ACM, SCOPUS. The final result obtained 38 articles published between 2016 and 2021. From this SLR, it was found that there were 7 criteria, namely Platform, Evaluation Model, Evaluation, Model, Approach, Problem, Trend and Challenge. These 7 criteria can be used for further research on e-learning. Thus this research provides knowledge about criteria that can be used further in research on E-learning and provides insight into its state-of-the-art.

Efficient use of educational technology and digital learning possibilities has always been the strategic area of high importance in border guards training at the State Border Guard College of Latvia. Recently, issues related to training during the Covid-19, have spurred and revived the discussion, topicality and practical need to use the potential of e-learning opportunities which brought up unexpected, additional, previously unsolved, unexplored, challenges and tasks to border guards training. New opportunities and challenges for trainers, learners and administration of training process both in online communication and learning administration contexts. In order to find out and define further e-learning development possibilities at the State Border Guard College the authors of this research explore the scientific literature on the current research findings, methodologies, approaches on developing interactive e-learning systems in educational contexts, particularly within the sphere of law enforcement. Based on scientific literature research findings authors put forward suggestions on improving the e-learning systems for border guards training.

<p>E-learning is a model of delivering learning content electronically with the help of computers and multimedia. ABC University has implemented the e-learning system for two (2) years in order to improve the quality of teaching and learning process. This study aims to determine the level of user acceptance, especially from the perspective of students. In other words, this study also wants to evaluate the implementation of e-learning systems in higher education as well as identifying any factors that encourage students to use e-learning system especially in ABC University. The research method used was survey with the approach of TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) as the technology acceptance evaluation model consisting of two main factors: perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. The results showed perceived usefulness significantly positive influence on user acceptance, while perceived ease of use did not significantly influence on user acceptance. The perceived ease of use also significantly positive influence perceived usefulness. The variance of user acceptance could be explained by two factors about 50.5%. </p>

Conventional learning method is viewed to be less effective because it poses the problems of space and time. Information Technology offers a method for more effective online learning called e-learning. This research aims to develop e-learning for the module of Child Development at Department of Psychology Universitas Negeri Surabaya. This study was a developmental research project that used the method of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). This model was chosen because the stages of its development are deemed appropriate especially for the refinement and implementation of e-materials in online system which facilitates the interactions among students and between the students and lecturers. The subjects of this study were 34 undergraduate psychology students who participated in the module of Child Development. This study was conducted during four meetings. The results of this study were e-material products which were uploaded in online learning system. The e-materials have been validated by experts. A questionnaire to record students’ responses on the e-materials was used. The analysis on the data resulted from students’ responses shows that there is no significant effect of the  e-learning application in the module of Child Development on the students’ learning achievement. Teknologi Informasi menawarkan metode pembelajaran yang dinamakan metode e-learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran e-learning pada mahasiswa yang memprogrram mata kuliah Perkembangan Anak di Jurusan Psikologi. Metode penelitian menggunakan Model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Model ini dipilih karena tahapan-tahapan pengembangannya dipandang sesuai terutama untuk penyempurnaan dan implementasi bahan ajar e-materi dalam sistem online dan fasilitas interaksi mahasiswa dengan dosen dan antar mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang memprogram mata kuliah Perkembangan Anak sejumlah 34 mahasiswa. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama empat kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah produk e-material yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli. Kuesioner disebarkan untuk diisi oleh mahasiswa dengan tujuan untuk mengukur respon mereka atas penggunaan e-learning dan e-material. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh signifikan dari penerapan pembelajaran e-learning terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa.

This article will explain asynchronous learn- ing system using attractive discussion forums and video teaching materials features for user so that the devel- opment of both features will increase e-learning system usage by students and lecturers which can eventually im- prove the students’ absorption on the provided teaching materials, increase the active participation of students, improve self-learning ability, and to improve the quality of learning materials. The method used in this study by distributing questionnaires in online form to stakeholders users consisting of lecturers and students with the num- ber of respondents is 225 people and author use model ADDIE which focuses on Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation as development design. Results of this study is an application of web-based asynchronous learning which can be used by students and lecturers with the results of the application evaluation is based on a survey to students and lecturers. From this study, can be concluded that to support online learning with asynchronous method using the video learning feature in online lecture needs to be developed in order to support the science transformation process from lecturers to students. Attractive video teaching  materials  model for students has characteristics such as screen shots and presentation models.

Training evaluation can be defined as a way of measuring how well users learn and adapt to a system or software. Various methods have been developed to carry out training evaluations of systems or software over the past few decades. A systematic literature review report on the assessment training model was conducted to give different views on the usability aspects of the proposed approach. This study provides a current systematic review of training evaluation on skill-based system or software. The particular purpose of the review is to explore the research as preliminary step that helps in choosing the right type of training evaluation model for skill-based E-learning system or software. There is a lack of appropriate models available through the specific gaps in literature and finding especially for skill-based E-learning system evaluation.

<p>Pada masa ini, e-learning cenderung monoton yang hanya digunakan untuk otomasi pekerjaan saja. Pada pengembangan e-learning yang akan datang, e-learning menerapkan lingkungan adaptif agar hasil yang didapatkan dari penggunaan e-learning dapat menjadi lebih optimal. Salah satu strategi agar e-learning menjadi adaptif adalah adaptasi dengan kondisi mental pengguna. Contoh kasus ketika pengguna stres maka sistem e-learning yang adaptif akan memberikan materi latihan yang lebih mudah atau memberi notifikasi untuk istirahat. Deteksi stres dapat dilakukan dengan pengolahan data dari sinyal fisiologis, yaitu <em>heart rate. </em>Metode klasifikasi <em>Support Vector Machine</em> diterapkan untuk deteksi stres. Fitur yang digunakan untuk klasifikasi stres adalah fitur yang berasal dari domain <em>Heart Rate Statistical</em>. Pengujian akurasi metode <em>Support Vector Machine </em>terhadap kasus pengguna e-learning mampu menghasilkan akurasi sampai 58,3% dengan menggunakan 12 sampel data.</p><p> </p><p><em><strong>Abstract</strong></em></p><p class="Abstract"><em>This time, e-learning tends to be monotonous which is only for job automation. In future of e-learning development, e-learning will apply adaptive environment so that the result obtained from e-learning can be more optimal. One of the strategies to turn e-learning to be adaptive is adaptation to user’s mental condition. By example, when user is stressed then adaptive e-learning system will provide easier exercise or pop notification for break. Stress detection can be achieved by processing data from physiological signal that is heart rate. The Support Vector Machine classification method can be implemented for stress detection. The features that used for stress detection are derived features from Heart Rate Statistical domain. The Support Vector Machine validation testing on case of e-learning users able to provide 58,3% accuracy by using 12 samples of data.<strong></strong></em></p><p><em><strong><br /></strong></em></p>

Abstract The application of E-Learning types that correspond to the characteristics of the E-Learning system can be determined by the user by filling out a questionnaire about the characteristics of the E-Learning System. Many types of E-Learning that have been used by the institution. To determine the type of E-Learning that is appropriate to the characteristics of the E-Learning system can be done by the user by filling out the assessment questionnaire about the characteristics of the E-Learning System. The data processing results of the questionnaire to the application of the Neural Network with the Perceptron method. Neural network is an information processing system that has characteristics similar to a network of nerve biology. Perceptron is a simple network that is usually used to classify a particular type of pattern that is often known as a linear separation. From the calculations that researchers do manually or testing of the training data and test data in accordance with the training measures Perceptron defined in equation f (net) = t (yi), and error = 0 to determine kesusksesannya, then from training data and test data produces the correct target and in accordance with the expected results, which means that the method Perceptron applied were able to predict the type of E-Learning in accordance with the characteristics of E-Learning system is correct and produce the same target with the data results of the questionnaire from the user. Banyak jenis E-Learning yang telah digunakan oleh lembaga pendidikan. Untuk menentukan jenis E-Learning yang sesuai dengan karakteristik sistem E-Learning bisa dilakukan penilaian oleh user dengan mengisi kuesioner tentang karakteristik sistem E-Learning. Pengolahan data hasil dari kuesioner tersebut bisa dengan penerapan Jaringan syaraf tiruan dengan metode Perceptron. Jaringan Syaraf Tiruan  adalah  sistem  pemrosesan informasi  yang  memiliki karakteristik  mirip  dengan jaringan  syaraf  biologi. Perceptron merupakan jaringan sederhana yang biasanya digunakan untuk mengklasifikasikan suatu pola tipe tertentu yang sering dikenal dengan pemisahan secara linear. Dari perhitungan yang peneliti lakukan secara manual atau pengujian terhadap data latih dan data uji yang sesuai dengan langkah-langkah pelatihan Perceptron yang sudah ditetapkan dalam persamaan f(net)= t(yi), dan error = 0 untuk menentukan kesusksesannya, maka dari data latih dan data uji menghasilkan target yang benar dan sesuai dengan hasil yang diharapkan, yang berarti bahwa metode Perceptron yang diterapkan mampu untuk memprediksi jenis E-Learning yang sesuai dengan karakteristik sistem E-Learning sudah benar dan menghasilkan target yang sama dengan data hasil kuesioner dari user. <p>ABSTRACT<br />One of the most important things in the world of education is evaluation in the learning process. The purpose of conducting an evaluation process is to find out the extent to which students understanding a material that has been delivered. There are several ways that can be done in conducting an evaluation, one of them is by giving exam questions to measure students' abilities. STIKOM Bali has implemented online evaluation through e-learning system. The evaluation model developed in the form of essay exam questions where students are asked to input answers to each question. But in its implementation the lecturer is still experiencing difficulties and requires more time in correcting the answers to the exam questions. This can affect the decline in objectivity in the assessment. The efforts that need to be made to overcome these problems need to be developed techniques that can automatically correct the results of essay exams using the Rabin Karp algorithm. The results obtained from the development of automatic correction techniques using the Rabin Karp algorithm are that they have succeeded in making automatic corrections to the results of the essay exam by matching the answers of students with the answer key using parsing-gram and hashing. The final score of the essay exam is a number from 1 to 100.<br />Keywords: Rabin-Karp, automatic correction, essay.<br />ABSTRAK<br />Salah satu hal yang terpenting dalam dunia pendidikan adalah evaluasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Adapun tujuan melakukan proses evaluasi adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemahaman mahasiswa dalam menyerap/memahami suatu materi yang telah disampaikan. Ada beberapa cara yang dapat dilakukan dalam melakukan evaluasi salah satunya dengan memberikan soal ujian guna untuk mengukur kemampuan mahasiswa. STIKOM Bali sudah menerapkan evaluasi online melalui sistem e-learning. Model evaluasi yang dikembangkan berupa soal ujian essay dimana mahasiswa diminta menginputkan jawaban pada masing-masing soal. Namun dalam implementasinya dosen masih mengalami kesulitan dan membutuhkan waktu yang lebih dalam melakukan koreksi jawaban dari soal ujian. Hal ini dapat mempengaruhi penurunan objektifitas dalam penilaian. Adapun upaya yang perlu dilakukan untuk menanggulangi permasalan tersebut perlu dikembangkan teknik yang dapat mengkoreksi otomatis hasil ujian essay dengan menggunakan algoritma Rabin Karp. Hasil yang didapat dari pengembangan teknik koreksi otomatis menggunakan algoritma Rabin Karp yaitu sudah berhasil melakuakan koreksi secara otomatis hasil ujian essay dengan cara mencocokan jawaban mahasiswa dengan kunci jawaban menggunakan parsing -gram dan hashing. Nilai akhir dari penilaian ujian essay berupa angka dari 1 sampai 100.<br />Kata Kunci : Rabin-Karp, koreksi otomatis,essay.</p>
