The research was carried out the lock of student’s abilities in understanding time unit. Time unit is abstract, so it’is needed real object as a model to make the student understand easily.in other hand, the student should be given real activity that can be recreved easily. In order to make them understand the concept of time unit.The success of a teaching and learning process is one of the reasons due to the use of media or participation in the teaching and learning process. Because in the teaching and learning process media has an important meaning.This research used a qualitative method, and used  wall clock that made by paper carton. With a wall clock made of cardboard, it is easy for students to use the clock by rotating the direction of the needle on the cardboard between the long needle and the short needle must match.

This article discusses the importance of vision and mission of the Islamic Education Lecturers (IELs) in teaching and learning (TnL). This study was fully conducted through qualitative method via case study. Six IELs were selected as participants and willing to be interviewed, and the data from the interview were supported by three Heads of Islamic Education Unit, 12 lecturers and 12 students. The data were triangulated with the data obtained through observation and document analysis. The data were analysed through N’Vivo software to generate a pattern of themes and characteristics of the vision and mission in TnL. The result found that there were six elements of vision and mission emphasized by the IELs in TnL. Five of them had formed a pattern. That five elements were; students receiving and appreciating, TnL objective achieved, spreading da’wah, moulding students attidtude and thinking, and achieving success in the world and the hereafter. Therefore, a model which is named as Model of the Vision and Mission Practice for the Excellent Islamic Education Lecturers was deloped. From the overall view, the emphasis on achieving mission and vision helps the IELs to successfully conduct TnL inside and outside classroom.

Translanguaging is a tool for bilingual or multilingual to learn more than one language.  In the field of linguistic, translanguaging is not something new. However, its implementation is still found rare in higher education. To fill this void, this study aims to investigate the implementation of translanguaging in classroom, especially in higher education. This research was intended to answer how helpful translanguaging practices in EFL Classroom is. By using qualitative method, the data were collected by recording two credits full face-to-face classroom interaction. One lecturer and her forty-five students voluntarily became the research participants.  The data were then analyzed by using thematic analysis. The findings showed that the practices were helpful in a way that the tutors could build an engaging dialogue for the students, enabling them to understand the complex learning materials. These findings then implied that in the teaching and learning process, EFL lecturers tend to be more attentive as they prefer to have their students understanding on complex subject to build English proficiency of their students’.

This study focussing on the use of code switching produced by instructors in English teaching and learning process based on Sosiolinguistics and language teaching point of view. This research uses qualitative method and records the process of teaching English and interviews the instructors and students as a technique of this research to find the importance of code switching. The data were transcripted and analyzed use the concepts of Wardhaugh and Suwito about types of code switching and functions of code switching use the concept of Margana. The research shows that there are 4 types of code switching intern, extern, metaphorical dan situasional code switching. Extern code switching are code switching from English to Indonesian (i.e. do you know what day is tomorrow? Besok hari apa?) and English to Manado Malay (i.e. you know what I mean? Mangarti nda?). Intern code switching is code switching from Manado Malay to Indonesian (i.e. besok hari libur jadi nda ada les. Lesnya nanti minggu depan). Metaphorical code switching is a code switching without any changing topic. Situasional code switching is a code switching with changing topic. Also, there are 7 types of code switching, they are repetition, clarification, exploration, explanation, giving assignment, checking students’ understanding and giving warning/suggestion. It can be concluded that there are 4 types of code switching produced by instructors in English teaching and learning process. They are extern, intern, metaphorical and situasional code switching. Besides, there are 7 functions of code switching. They are repetition, clarification, exploration, explanation, giving assignment, checking students’ understanding and giving warning/suggestion.Keywords : Code switching, Instructors utterences, English teaching and learning   process

The objectives of this research are to analyze the type of violation and flouting the maxim of teacher-student interaction in the English teaching and learning process in MA Hasyim Asy’ari Bangsri and also find the most frequently produced between violation and flouting of the maxim. This research used the descriptive qualitative method. The data was obtained from the conversation between the teacher and students during the teaching and learning process and analyzed by categorizing utterances based on the violation and flouting maxim theory of the Cooperative Principle. The data were collected through the observation then analyzed by using the technique which is suggested by Miles and Huberman that consists of data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion or data verification. The result of the research showed that there are four types of maxims that are violated by the teacher and students. These are the maxim of quantity 11 (50%), the maxim of quality 5 (22.73%), the maxim of relation 1 (4.54%), and the maxim of manner 5 (22.73%). The dominant violation was the maxim of quantity with 11 occurrences. Based on the findings, there are three types of flouting maxims in which the most of flouting maxim that is occurred was the maxim of relation. They are divided into 1 (14.29%) maxim of quantity, 2 (28.57%) maxim of quality, and 4 (57.14%) maxims of relation. In conclusion, the most produced between the violation and flouting was the violation of maxim with 22 (75.86%) of total occurrences. Meanwhile, the proportion of flouting maxim was 7 (24.14%).

This research reported the implication of students’ indiscipline behaviour in teaching and learning process. In conducting the study, researchers used descriptive qualitative approach in order to describe the implication of indiscipline behaviour in teaching and learning process. By using purposive sampling, we invited ten students of Physical Education, Sport, Health, and Recreation of Artha Wacana Christian University, Kupang. The data were collected from observation-participation, indepth-interviews and documentation. Data analysis technique used was qualitative method. The result indicates that the implications of students’ indiscipline behavior in teaching and learning process are: 1) loss of confidence in self irresponsibility, 2) the emergence of horizontal disharmony, 3) learning atmosphere is not conducive, 4) poor academic achievement, and 5) self-compunction and disappointed.

This article is a potrait of constructing frame of mind in writing, communication and human being. Communication is a process of transforming idea to the other in which the idea can be formed through encoding process to be reformed and reconstructed in decoding process by receiver. The new order framework is the new paradigm of mind. Further more, writing is an action to pour idea to be sedimented and embeded in the form of documented written. Related to writing, communication means transfering message from sender to the other either verbal and or non-verbal process. On the other hand, humaniora is a realm of meaning within human spirit to be humanized and civilized by oneself through education. Educating human being is also a teaching and learning process toward oneself-personalization. The personalization is so called humanization process.

The research discusses tolerance education through the teaching and learning of Kema'arifan (wisdom) at SMA (Senior High School) Ma'arif Bandung. In contrast to other studies, this research will be more focused on discussing the process of inculcating tolerance values in schools with the background of Nahdatul Ulama (NU). The research will describe how teachers convey tolerance values through classroom teaching and learning. The research employed qualitative method with data collection techniques of interview, observation, and documentary study. The results show that Kema'arifan instruction can provide deeper knowledge about Islam, aswaja, and other groups. In the teaching and learning process, teachers convey the values of tolerance through lecture, and question- answer methods. Penelitian ini membahas tentang pendidikan toleransi melalui pembelajaran mata pelajaran Kema’arifan di SMA Ma’arif Bandung.Berbeda dengan penelitian yang lain, penelitian ini akan lebih membahas tentang suatu proses penanaman nilai toleransi di sekolah yang berlatar belakang organisasi Nahdatul Ulama (NU). Penelitian ini akan menguraikan bagaimana cara guru dalam menyampaikan nilai-nilai toleransi melalui suatu proses pembelajaran di kelas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Kema’arifan mampu memberikan pengetahuan secara lebih mendalam tentang Islam, aswaja, serta golongan-golongan yang lainnya. Dalam proses pembelajaran, guru menyampaikan nilai-nilai toleransi melalui metode ceramah dan tanya jawab.

This research entitled "Application of Democratic Values in Teaching and Learning Process in SMA Negeri 1 Mila Pidie" formulation of the problem; 1) How is the application of democratic values in the teaching and learning process of Civic Education subjects ?, 2) What are the barriers experienced by teachers in applying democratic values in the learning process ?. Research purposes; 1) to know the application of democratic values in teaching and learning process of Civic Education subjects, and 2) to know the obstacles faced by teachers in applying democratic values. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The population of this study is all teachers of Civic Education. using sampling sampling, data collection Observations and in-depth interviews. The results of this study indicate that the application of democratic values in teaching and learning process subjects of Civic Education has been done well by teachers, although there are obstacles experienced by teachers. The conclusion of the researcher are: 1) Application of democratic values; tolerance, cooperation, and consensus, striving to maintain differences, fostering friendship among students, developing mutual understanding of each other, and teaching openness and dialogue, applying diversity values through lecture models and discussions about cultural riches. 2) Obstacles experienced by teachers of this application is the method of teaching and learning that is used for example; a lecture model that can bore students, material democracy is vast. Suggestion; a) To the teacher in the teaching and learning process always prioritize the values of democracy, so that the learning process can be used as a guide to a more effective and efficient. b) To the students in terms of teaching and learning process for the application of democratic values to be more pro-active to implement in taking a decision, policy, resolve conflict, and the achievement of learning objectives and can improve student learning achievement. Efforts are being made in many educational settings to find out the most effective ways of assuring quality of the teaching and learning process. In the framework of continuous reformation of the education system in Albania, many initiatives have been taken aiming at improving the quality of the teaching and learning process WHERE?? IN THE AREA OF???? . Several ambitious projects have been piloted. One of them is related to setting the teaching and learning process in a pragmatic global context. This project was piloted in some areas of Albania. It aimed at applying some new principles of teaching and learning by simultaneously setting teaching and learning in four dimensions: that of time (present, past, future), space, problems (environment, human rights, etc.) and internal. Teaching was based on the use of interactive, all inclusive techniques and strategies. As a result, the interactive profile of the teacher is strengthened and the quality of students’ learning has improved as well. This project is supported by the Institute of Global Education in Canada This article brings a picture of the impacts of this initiative, which are related with the best student outcomes, change of values and attitudes about life, new approaches for the world and the active participation in important social roles. This pilot work has led to a new objective, namely the one of establishment of a new teacher profile in the global area and of the new roles it should take in the course of both teaching and learning. Data and thoughts of teachers and students related to such findings are described in the current article. Key words: dimensions, Global Education, new pilot, principles, quality.
