For Karakalpak literature XX-century was the century of close interaction with world literature. This process had a huge impact on the expansion of the genre diversity of Karakalpak literature. In literature appeared a great number of new genre kinds: drama, tragedy, comedy, story, novel, ballad, tale, poem and etc. One of new genre varieties in Karakalpak literature is origin of mixed genre-forming. i.e Works, including in it features of lyrics and drama, lyrics and epos, comedy and tragedy, lyrics and prose and etc. and Karakalpak poets, writers became successfully in using new genres. The signs of the drama in this or that measure can be presented in epos works, but signs of the epos are not alien to the drama. Their lyrics penetration is much more productive than lyrics penetration into these genres and inside out. This is evidenced by the fact in the Karakalpak literature today there is often processing of the epic works in drama. But it should be recognized that there is little success, because any original work is unique, especially dramatic. Based on this concept, we tried to consider the problem of the synthesis of genres by the example of works by K.Rakhmanov where interpretation of tragedy, comedy, epic is evident. KEY WORDS: genre; drama; epos; synthesis; tragicomedy; novel; plot; composition; conflict.

The heritage that Mirza Alakbar Sabir left for us has always been a source of inspiration for creative people throughout ages. People who are engaged in fine art have always highly appreciated this work too. It requires too much responsibility to address Mirza Alakbar Sabir’s poetry, one of the most famous literary figures in world literature. As if the artists who addressed this patriotic writer’s poetry, feel the poet and created unique works with an inspiration that they got from him. It is undeniable that Azim Azimzada played a vital role in publicity of Mirza Alakbar Sabir’s poetry. Azim Azimzada’s all illustrations are engraved in people’s memory. Average spectators can perceive artist’s illustrations too. By looking through illustrations, it is possible to guess almost all poems that they are dedicated to. Educating people who are indifferent to education and waking them up from this ignorance was Azim Azimzada’s main goal. Artist’s illustrations differentiate with its harsh ironic spirit which is the main peculiarity of Sabir’s poetry. We can definitely see the strong influence of Sabir’s poetry in Azim Azimzada’s works. This is the reason why Azim Azimzada is usually called as Sabir of fine art. The only purpose of this thesis is to try to connect Russian culture to Turkish literature. We chose an interesting review, because it is one of the famous Russian writers, known for the most impressive novels of world literature. At Feodor Mihayloviç Dostoevsky, we believe that human characters are processed much more deeply. He is one of the powerful representatives of realism. He adhered to religion and traditions and included spiritual analyzes in his works. Despite all his material and spiritual poverty and epileptic seizures, his terrible years enabled Dostoevsky to discover the wealth of religion and prisoners, namely "the gold in the hard shell". Realist writers value language, style and form. Because the purpose of art is to express the truth objectively and aesthetically. There must be a harmony between the essence, form, language and style of the work, such as the harmony between the soul and body. Each individual is stuck between two kinds of life and tries to maintain a life between this congestion. In other words, they have two faces, they have contradictions, they have fears, their delusions, their gods or what's going on ... Man represents infinity as a limited, spiritual being in this view. Dostoevski is a writer only when we feel miserable, if we have reached the end of our limit of suffering and if we perceive life as a completely flaming wound, if we only live one despair of despair, then only then we must read. Key words: Dostoevsky, Russian Literature, White Nights, Nastenka, Mehmet Ozgul.

This essay scrutinizes the concept of metafiction in Enrique Jaramillo Levi’s short stories. The article starts with an explanation regarding the genesis of metafiction in world literature as well as its more solid establishment in the context of modern literature written in Spanish. It continues with the particular uses of metafictional discourse in Jaramillo Levi’s short stories by asserting that in his work there is a clear postmodern use whose literary rendition diverges from the one depicted by the works produced during Spanish artistic modernity. Finally, there is a discussion of specific short stories written by Jaramillo Levi, intended to show how those particular postmodern techniques point to the plural functionality of the metafictional mode, thus contributing to the aesthetic qualities of Jaramillo Levi’s narrative as well as to those of Central American fiction.

This research seeks to discuss how child characters navigate their interactions with the adults in two short stories set in the predominantly Islamic society of Sudan and Indonesia. It examines Tayeb Salih’s “A Handful of Dates” (1964) and Pramoedya Ananta Toer’s “Circumcision” (1950) by locating both texts in World Literature which is largely Western or Eurocentric. Both short stories belong to the genre of initiation fiction often included in world literature anthologies. This paper argues that both authors help contribute to not only the rethinking of World Literature concept and circulation thereof, but also balanced view of heterogonous, multicultural Muslim society. Using post-Genette focalization theory as conceptual framework, this study finds out that the child narrators play distinct roles as (1) the perceptual focalizer to reveal injustice and frivolity of the adults’ world; (2) the ideological focalizer to make meaning of children’s faith through their relationship with the grown-ups.
