The achievement of Mathematics contestants from the City of Makassar is very concerning. In March 2018 elementary school mathematics competition was held. Of the 186 participants from Makassar, there were only 56 students who got scores above zero. Only about 30%. Other students get zero or less than zero (negative). There was a decrease in interest and achievement in Mathematics in elementary school students in Makassar. The solution offered was training for Mathematics Elementary School teachers by emphasizing learning method with playing. This is intended so that children have enjoyed Mathematics from the beginning so that in the future the interest in learning Mathematics will be even greater.

The application of fast calculation techniques in supporting the learning mathematics in this training activity aimed to increase the understanding of elementary school mathematics teachers about the fast calculation method that can be applied in basic algebraic calculation. The implementation of this activity was expected to improve the quality of Elementary School Mathematics education in Takalar Regency. This training used demonstration and question-and-answer methods about the fast calculation technique performed by elementary school teachers in Takalar Regency. The implementation of this activity began with observations and interviews with the Head of the Teacher and Education Personnel Division at the Takalar Regency Education Office. This activity was carried out by Syncronouse Online using the Zoom meeting application due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. There were 33 participants who attended the training. Based on the results of a questionnaire on the teacher’s perceptions about the use of fast calculation techniques, all teachers find this technique helpful. Therefore, the teachers will use this technique in teaching arithmetic to their students. It was probably not a unique experience, but it sure was fun, and more important, fifteen elementary school teachers improved their skills for teaching mathematics and did away with some anxiety about the subject. While they were about it, these teachers also increased the achievement in mathematics of forty-five elementary school students and showed them that mathematics can be a lot of fun.

COMMUNITY SERVICE INNOVATION OF THE SCHOOL MATHEMATICS HEALTH CENTER (PUSKESMAS) IN LEARNING MATHEMATICS BASED ON THE TOWN SQUARE. The purpose of this study was to develop an innovation in the school’s mathematics health center in mathematics learning through city square-based mathematics learning. Descriptive method is used with subjects in early childhood and elementary school students who are in the location of the school mathematics health center. The instrument used by the researcher itself, data collection techniques using structured interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used triangulation, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the media presented at the Puskesmas were all new and they had not yet gotten them in their respective schools. The attitude of students who become happy, like, cheerful in learning mathematics and easy to understand mathematical concepts, and bring out the creativity of early age and elementary school students in learning mathematics. Student concentration also increases because the learning model used uses an individual approach, so that they can focus more on seeing the student learning process. Parents who accompany their children generally feel happy because their children enjoy learning mathematics. Puskesmas activities have an impact on early age and elementary school students to be happy learning mathematics, like learning with mathematics media, cheerful in following math tutoring and enjoy learning mathematics. This program is also highly supported by parents because it is very helpful in the learning process of their children and eases the family’s economic burden in education.

We developed the AED enlightenment animation DVD (the AED Animation) as a readable and friendly educational material for learning cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and AED by citizens. The aim of the present study was to investigate how well did schoolchildren understand the contents of the AED Animation, and how the AED Animation has educational and ripple effects to schoolchildren. [Methods] Prior to the investigation of schoolchildren, 28 elementary school teachers watched the AED Animation and answered a questionnaire to see if the AED animation arouse schoolchildren, and to evaluate its psychological and educational impacts. Then in fourth, fifthand sixth grades elementary school students (total of 1189) watched the AED Animation and answered questionnaire-based survey. [Results] 94 percent of the students answered “ the AED Animation is good for me”, 80 percent of them wanted to be able to do CPR and use AED as the characters of the AED Animation did, and 67 percent of them wanted there parents to watch the AED Animation. [Conclusions] The AED Animation is a good educational material for schoolchildren that raises interest in AED/CPR, and its educational effects was more than elementary school teachers expected.

The purposed of this research is to get the design of siputmatika and the design of learning trajectory of mathematics for rotary symmetry material. Siputmatika is a device that can help students to construct rotary symmetry. This device can be modified by elementary school students to build the concept, prove and be a tool in making learning trajectory of rotary symmetry. This research is a design research with pre eliminary design as the first stage. The literature review and study of concepts and appropriate media are used to design siputmatika. The result of this research is the design of learning trajectory for rotary symmetry material. Hypothetical learning trajectory is expected to be a tool and signs for the elementary school teachers in conducting learning process to help students construct their own concept of rotary symmetry using siputmatika.
