Abstract: Infection acquired in the hospital (nosocomial infection) is defined as an infection that does not exist or is in the incubation period at the time of hospital admission and is associated with health care. Nosocomial infection occurs as a result of interaction of several factors, among others, the types of microbes in the hospital environment, nursing actions that allow microbial intervention into the body through the skin and mucous membranes, interactions among patients, hospital workers, equipment and the environment as well as an increase of opportunistic microbial resistance. This study aimed to determine the pattern of aerobic bacteria that were potential to cause nosocomial infections in the delivery room of Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Hospital Manado. This was a prospective descriptive study. Samples were obtained from walls, floors, medical equipment, and the air in the delivery room at Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. The results showed that of 22 samples, there were several types of bacteria as follows: Bacillus subtillis (40.1%), Enterobacter aerogenes (18.2%), Gram-negative cocci (18.2%), Serratia liquefaciens (13.6%), and Enterobacter cloacae (9.9%). Conclusion: The most common type of aerobic bacteria in the delivery room of Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Hospital Manado was Bacillus subtillis. Abstract: Diarrhea is defecate more often, more, with greater consistency mushy or watery than usual. Diarrhea is still a major health problem in children, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia. Sanitation and poor environmental hygiene are factors that result in high levels of diarrhea in children in Indonesia. Generally diarrhea caused by infection (± 90%), such as bacteria, viruses, parasites or fungi. The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of aerobic bacteria that cause diarrhea in children in Hospital Robert Wolter Monginsidi Teling. Methods research study conducted by using a cross sectional study with prospective descriptive approach. Samples were taken from 20 faecal samples from children with diarrhea in Inpatient Hospital Robert Wolter Monginsidi Teling. Abstract: Kitchen of hospital to be a part or unit of a hospital that is not less important as other services in the hospital , because it provides direct services to patients through the food served by nutritional care . Nosocomial infections are infections that occur during hospitalization where the infection does not exist at the time of admission to the hospital . Infections that occur more than 48 hours after hospital admission . Most infections occur in hospitals is caused by external factors , ie diseases which spread from food and cutlery . Implementation of the food was less qualified health care, in addition to extending the treatment process can also cause cross-infections or nosocomial infections which can be through the cutlery and food . Purpose: To determine the presence of aerobic bacteria that can cause nosocomial infections in the kitchen of BLU Prof. Dr R. D. Kandou Manado .Method: This study was a prospective descriptive study that analyzed 24 samples on cutlery and 6 samples of food in kitchen of BLU Nutrition Dr Prof. Dr R. D. Kandou Manado. Metode penelitian: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif prospektif yang dianalisis secara desktriptif pada 24 sampel alat makan dan 6 sampel makanan di ruangan Instalasi Gizi BLU RSUP Prof. Dr. R. Background and objectives: Nurses can prevent the occurrence and transmission of noso-comial infections by following infection control measures such as wearing gloves and masks, using appropriate disinfection of skin and preventing accidental needle-stick inju-ries. This research aimed to evaluate the availability of hospital uniforms, personal protec-tive equipment, and infection control activities at hospitals in Sulaimani in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and to examine nurses’ experience of nosocomial infections. Methods and materials: A cross-sectional study was performed at 10 governmental hospi-tals during the period from 20th February to 28th September 2018. 525 nurses were se-lected as participants by a convenience sampling method. A self-administrated question-naire was used to collect data, which were analysed using SPSS software. Results: The results showed that 268 nurses (51%) reported that their hospitals provided sufficient uniforms to all the medical staff and the majority of nurses, 444 respondents (84.6%) stated that they were responsible for cleaning their working uniforms. 441 nurses reported that they did not acquire a nosocomial infection, and 479 (91.2%) did not have an accident during their work in the hospital. 79.9% of the nurses (404) reported recapping syringe needles after the usage, and 98 (18.7%) gave a low rating to the infection control unit activity in their hospitals. Finally, more than half of nurses (330) representing 62.9% of the sample were vaccinated against nosocomial infections. Conclusions: Most of Sulaimani governmental hospitals are providing sufficient uniforms for the health staff, the majority of nurses were vaccinated against one or more nosocomi-al infections, and the majority of nurses do needle syringe recapping.
