In response to the abandonment and depopulation of small towns in inland areas, it is necessary to provide analysis and technical-economic evaluation tools with the aim of selecting effective recovery and valorization strategies. In the light of what criteria and indicators should this selection be carried out? The principles of sustainability guide us to a new definition of social, economic, environmental, and historical-architectural criteria. The intention is to outline a new way of classifying the judgment criteria, exclusively referring to the peculiarities of small towns. In turn, the criteria are specifically defined in sixteen sub-criteria, again able to represent the salient features of small municipalities: Local traditions, genius loci, urbanization levels, but also prevailing economy, environmental (flora and fauna, water, soil, air, etc.), and historical-architectural components (relations between the small town and the immediate context, formal relationship between building and urban core, etc.). This is followed by the drafting of a novel dataset of evaluation indicators, capable of expressing the project actions’ capacity to pursue the objectives expressed by the criteria. These are datasets that give back 24 indicators for the social sub-criteria, 42 for the economic sub-criteria, 34 for the environmental ones, and 38 for the historical-architectural ones. The goal-criteria-subcriteria-indicators structure outlined in this paper opens up research perspectives on the characterization of a hierarchical model of multi-criteria analysis.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is an idea that has grown during the last three decades from the voluntary activity of business firms into a debate about whether CSR should be mandated by law because of the increased demand from society. Further, it has been argued that business corporations are owned by their shareholders, and the managers must concentrate on maximizing the wealth of their shareholders and not of the community. To determine how better to apply CSR, this paper begins with looking at the evolution of CSR as a system around the world and then discusses the definition of CSR. In addition, this paper explores the advantages and disadvantages of implementing voluntary CSR and then explores mandatory CSR. Moreover, in this paper, it is found that determining the proper CSR system depends on many factors in each country, such as the social, economic and legal factors that should be examined before applying mandatory or voluntary CSR.

Brazil has a vast diversity of natural resources, which are important in the economic and social context of many families, identified through non-wood forest products (NWFP), among them chestnuts, in the north, and pine nut, in the south of the country. Thus, the objective of the work was to analyze the productive chain of the Brazilian chestnuts in order to establish and identify potentialities existing in its productive chain that can be used to promote the pine nut productive chain in the social, economic and environmental spheres. The study was carried out through the application of an open questionnaire, having as target audience representatives linked to the commercialization and research of both forest products. As a main result, it is evident that the pine nut has an incomplete production chain, presenting itself as a product with secondary representation in the formation of farmers' income, which contributes to the structure of pine nut commercialization being incipient. In addition, the lack of social organization for extractivism is responsible for the non-consolidation of the chain, coupled with the incipient process of industrialization and processing of the pine nut. which limits the added value of the product. There is a need for greater interest and attention on the part of the government with actions involving entities that can assist in the most different spheres, as well as providing technical assistance, research, and financial support.

In hereby study, a cultural sector was distinguished from industries of the culture and creative industries, specially taking into account the definition of these notions. On the basis of studies of the Institute for Structural Research in Warsaw, a sector of creative industries in Poland was presented. An attempt to determine the influence of creative industries on the social-economic development of the region was also made. It was pointed that the culture and creative industries drawing from it contribute to an increase in endogenous ability of the region to react to changes occurring under the influence of exogenous factors.

USE OF THE FOURIER SERIES FOR PLUVIOMETRIC CHARACTERIZATION OF THE COUNTIES LAGOA SECA-PB  AND ALAGOA NOVA-PB   ABSTRACT: In the semiarid region of the state of Paraiba, prolonged droughts have caused changes of the hydrological regime, losses in agriculture, threats to biodiversity, and generate impacts on the social, economic and environmental aspect. The objective of this research was to characterize the pluvial regime of two municipalities in the Agreste region of Paraíba, using the Fourier series, using rainfall data from historical series not inferior to 30 years ago. For the Agreste municipalities, the annual analysis showed the presence of an interval between two peaks of minimum and two consecutive maximum peaks every twelve years, and the interval between a peak of minimum and a peak, occurring every four years, presenting, in the month of May, a summer.   Keywords: Drought, Time series, Rainfall.

ABSTRACTThis article examines the social, economic and political origins of what was a new, distinctly elitist, culture of ‘non-competitive’ sport, and how these values, which emerged from a small group of metropolitan elites, spread throughout the south-east of England. It argues that a long-term analysis of sport provides a valuable contextual tool for urban historians. In this case, how the gradual adoption of a distinctly ‘metropolitan’ culture throughout Surrey, and the associated changes in the social structure and purpose of cricket, may contribute towards a more nuanced assessment of that county's ‘suburbanization’, and how this region interacted with the urban core.

The practical definition of sustainable development remains "balance between the social, economic and natural resources”. To builda system for sustainable development inprogress is very difficult; it should be noted that to talk about the three elements at thesame time. Finding balance, adds more difficult, because, "the preservation of theecosystem", includes in itself, human capital, making peoples an integral part of theecosystem that we are trying to save. Mostly, sustainable development requires major andradical changes, in particular to human behaviors and habits, connected to nature and theeconomy. The aim of this article is to identify the role of education in sustainabledevelopment. The development of education inthe context of sustainable development, promotes the correct answer of science, but a way of engaging with different perspectiveson the world we live in, and share together every moment of our lives.

s, including the use of urbonymic systems from the point of view of their communicative existence. Urbonymes, their typology, linguistic analysis of functioning of systems of Kazakhstan cities-related onomastic terms are promising issues of Kazakhstan’s Russian studies. The authors emphasize the close relation of onomastic processes to the society life. The formation of onomastic space of independent Kazakhstan and the definition of its national expression are considered by the researchers as one of the most important problems of the modern Kazakhstan linguistics. Language planning and language policy should become an integral part of a general policy aimed at improving the social, economic and cultural situation in the city. This provision is significant for the nomination process in Pavlodar, the onomastic system of which, like of a similar system of any Kazakhstan city, reflects the sociocultural changes taking and having already taken place. The article specifically shows promising new approaches to the study of the city, in particular, from the standpoint of study of general cultural landscape of the city.
