In this paper, we contribute to the growing literature on soft topology. Its theoretical underpinning merges point-set or classical topology with the characteristics of soft sets (a model for the representation of uncertain knowledge initiated in 1999). We introduce two types of axioms that generalize suitable concepts of soft separability. They are respectively concerned with calibers and chain conditions. We investigate explicit procedures for the construction of non-trivial soft topological spaces that satisfy these new axioms. Then we explore the role of cardinality in their study, and the relationships among these and other properties. Our results bring to light a fruitful field for future research in soft topology.

Purpose of the study: In the present paper the concept of soft α -connectedness between soft sets in soft topological spaces has been introduced and studied. The notion of connectedness captures the idea of hanging-togetherness of image elements in an object by given a firmness of connectedness to every feasible path between every possible pair of image elements. It is an important tool for the designing of algorithms for image segmentation. The purpose of this paper is to extend the concept of α –connectedness between sets in soft topology. Main Findings: If a soft topological space (X, τ, E) is soft α -connected between a pair of its soft sets, then it is not necessarily that it is soft α -connected between each pair of its soft sets and so it is not necessarily soft α -connected. Applications of this study: Image Processing. Novelty/Originality of this study: Extend of α -connectedness between soft sets in soft topology.

Soft topology studies a structure on the collection of all soft sets on a given set of alternatives (the relevant attributes being fixed). It is directly inspired by the axioms of a topological space. This paper contributes to the theoretical bases of soft topology in various ways. We extend a general construction of soft topologies from topologies on the set of alternatives in two different directions. An extensive discussion with criteria about what a soft counterpart of “topological separability” should satisfy is also given. The interactions of the properties that arise with separability, and of second-countability and its soft counterpart, are studied under the general mechanisms that generate soft topological spaces. The first non-trivial examples of soft second-countable soft topological spaces are produced as a consequence.

After the famous article of Moldotsove [10] in 1999 which initiate the theory of soft sets as a mathematical theory to deal  with the uncertainty problems, many research works in the softbmathematics and its applications in various fields are appeared.   In [17], the authers introduced a new definition of the soft metric function using the soft elements. By this definition each soft metric in view of Das and Samanta [6] is also a soft metric in our concept but the converse is not true. In the present paper, some soft topological properties are given in details, namely (soft compactness, soft sequentially compactness, continuity and uniformly continues of soft functions between soft topological spaces).  We hope that the findings in thispaper will help researcher enhance and promote the further study on soft topology to carry out a general framework for theirapplications in practical life.

In this paper, we define a soft semi local function (F, E) ∗s ( ˜I, τ ) by using semi open soft sets in a soft ideal topological space (X, τ, E, ˜I). This concept is discussed with a view to find new soft topologies from the original one, called ∗s-soft topology. Some properties and characterizations of soft semi local function are explored. Finally, the notion of soft semi compatibility of soft ideals with soft topologies is introduced and some equivalent conditions concerning this topic are established here.

The construct of Top Management Team (TMT) has received a significant attention in the strategic management scholarship due to the espoused role that TMT members are expected to play in providing direction to their organizations. In this role, they are expected to make strategic choices that optimize the opportunities availed by the rapidly changing environments. The theoretical underpinning for TMT and the extant empirical work have demonstrated a number of issues that call for further examination of the extant literature. In this paper, the authors explore the conceptual, theoretical and empirical literatures on TMT Diversity to establish the current state that accounts for the identified issues and identify the emerging knowledge gaps that set an agenda for future research. The paper identifies the various forms of TMT Diversity, the intermediate and ultimate outcomes as well as the potential influence of these outcomes by the aspects of industry velocity in which firms operate. Several theories that complement the role of the upper echelons theory are discussed and the constructs they contribute to in explaining TMT Diversity outcomes identified. The paper proposes a theoretical model for explaining the emerging phenomenon from the deployment of TMT Diversity and makes several propositions. The paper calls on future research to consider the proposed framework for adoption in empirical work.

Abstract. This study investigated the mediating role of coping humor in the relationship between emotional intelligence (EI) and job satisfaction. Participants were 398 primary school teachers in China, who completed the Wong Law Emotional Intelligence Scale, Coping Humor Scale, and Overall Job Satisfaction Scale. Results showed that coping humor was a significant mediator between EI and job satisfaction. A further examination revealed, however, that coping humor only mediated two sub-dimensions of EI (use of emotion and regulation of emotion) and job satisfaction. Implications for future research and limitations of the study are discussed.

A small but growing area of public administration scholarship appreciates the influence of religious values on various aspects of government. This appreciation parallels a growing interest in comparative public administration and indigenized forms of government which recognizes the role of culture in different approaches to government. This article is at the crossroads of these two trends while also considering a very salient region, the Islamic world. The Islamic world is uniquely religious, which makes this discussion even more relevant, as the nations that represent them strive towards legitimacy and stability. The history and core values of Islam need to be considered as they pertain to systems of government that are widely accepted by the people. In essence, this is being done in many countries across the Islamic world, providing fertile grounds for public administration research from a comparative perspective. This paper explores these possibilities for future research on this topic.

Background: Widespread social paradigms on which the status variances are grounded in any society, gender plays pivotal role in manifestation of mental health problems (Rutter, 2007). A hefty volume of research has addressed the issue in adults nonetheless, little is vividly known about the role of gender in adolescent psychopathology. Sample: A sample of 240 adolescents (125 boys, 115 girls) aging 12-18 years was amassed from various secondary schools of Islamabad with the approval of the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), relevant authorities of the schools and the adolescents themselves. Instruments: Taylor Manifest Anxiety Scale (Taylor & Spence, 1953) and Children’s Negative Cognitive Errors Questionnaire (CNCEQ) by Leitenberg et al., (1986) were applied in present study. Results: Multiple regression analysis revealed that cognitive errors jointly accounted for 78% of variance in predicting anxiety among adolescents. Findings also exhibited that gender significantly moderated the relationship between cognitive errors and adolescent anxiety. Implications of the findings are discoursed for future research and clinical practice.

Potential Role of Cytokines in Children with Acute Appendicitis and Acute Mesenteric Lymphadenitis Although, AAP and AML have different etiological factors, clinical symptoms are very much similar but treatment tactics in both the disease differ a lot. In case of AML, treatment is more conservative and does not require hospitalization while in case of AAP immediate hospitalization and maybe further surgery can be mandatory. With the identification of group of cytokines serum inflammatory mediators IL-8, IL-10, IL-12[p70], IL-17, TNF-a and MCP-1, it is believed early and proper diagnosis of AAP in the near future. Research of cytokines-serum inflammatory mediators has opened new opportunities for an early detection and differentiation of these two diseases in children.
