The article deals with the psychological characteristics of subjects of entrepreneur activity. It also identifies and describes their personal qualities, shows how the positive factors of the personality of entrepreneurs influence success in their professional activities. Particular attention is paid to such important qualities of entrepreneurs as leadership, style of behavior, quality of mind, organizational and administrative skills and attitudes towards oneself, to the team and professional activities. The psychological portrait of an entrepreneur highlights professional qualities that distinguish him from other professionals. This is a creative economic activity, taking risks, striving for self-realization, sociability, and stress resistance. At the same time, there are a number of differences that make it possible to distinguish the characteristics of a domestic Ukrainian entrepreneur: insufficient assessment of the entrepreneur's significance in modern society, weak legal protection and poor assessment of the society. All this reduces interest in entrepreneurship in society, especially in small and medium businesses. The development of a psychological portrait of a domestic entrepreneur contributes to the evaluation of the activities of a Ukrainian entrepreneur and promotes his personal development.

The article presents the research on personal qualities and characteristics of rescuers manifesting signs of professional estrangement. In extreme and extraordinary conditions, in particular, during fires and natural disasters, the requirements for certain personal characteristics of rescuers are significantly increased. That is, professional activity in special conditions significantly affects such professionals: on the one hand, personal development is promoted, and on the other hand, personal qualities can be deformed, therefore, it is necessary to determine specialists whose psychological characteristics do not corresponds the requirements of their work, or to re-allocate them for workplaces with taking into account their individual psychological peculiarities. The obtained results suggest that personal qualities of rescuers identifying themselves with their profession and rescuers with signs of professional estrangement are significantly different. Professionals with a high level of professional identification are characterized as decent and courteous in relations at work and out-of-work. They usually respond adequately to criticism or remarks, and behave on the base of their own emotions and ambitions at conflict situations. Specialists manifesting professional estrangement are often characterized as depressed individuals, dissatisfied with their position or the state of affairs at their work; so they often show ineffectiveness, indecision, and inconsistency in their actions during assignment implementations. Such specialists are characterized by their colleagues as conflict, irresponsible, stubborn and undisciplined people. They can respond inadequately on criticisms or comments. In general, the professional work for them is too difficult and leads to excessive mental stress, rapid fatigue, a feeling of impotence and exhaustion.

The study of the needs of the elderly and the possibilities to activate their life position and improve their well-being and social security was carried out using the methods of a questionnaire, expert survey, interviewing, and testing. The results were tested in a socio-pedagogical experiment. The conclusions derived as a result of the study show that the potential of the elderly is used to a lesser extent than required by the elderly themselves and society as a whole. At the same time, the level of education directly affects the quality of life, the level of well-being of older people, and the degree of their involvement in professional activities and social activity. Overall, there is a direct correlation between the level of education of older people and their adaptation in modern society, as well as between senior citizens’ level of education and satisfaction with life.

Quality of nursing cannot be assessed in terms of performance referenced criteria, but only in terms of the personal qualities displayed in the performance. The key to improvement in practice may be the improvement of emotional and motivational tendencies. In essence, professional development implies personal development. Harré makes a distinction between ‘powers to do’ and ‘powers to be’ (a state of being). The former are the capacities that individuals acquire to perform their tasks and roles. Professional development therefore involves, first, the acquisition of the capacities necessary for the successful completion of a set of professional tasks (the powers to do). Secondly, it involves the acquisition of the appropriate emotions and motivations, and the theories about human nature and the conduct that underpins them (the powers to be). Therefore, these capacities cannot be derived from an analysis of tasks, since what are defined as tasks in the first place are determined by the exercise of such powers. The acquisition of attitudes constitutes a source of competent practice. Harré’s model of ‘personal identity’ provides a conceptual framework for thinking about the process of the acquisition of nursing competence and its relationship to differing views of nursing. Considerations relating to different priorities within Harré’s model make it possible to raise questions about the objectives of competence at different stages.

The present research features the basics of pedagogical support in the system of continuous education in the structure of actualization and generation of various pedagogical constructs and pedagogical constructors that facilitate a holistic understanding of the importance of personality development in the hierarchy of age-appropriate methods, forms, and technologies of educational and socio-professional activities. The authors clarify the concepts of "pedagogical construct", "pedagogical constructor", and "basics of pedagogical support in the system of continuous education". These concepts are described in the context of the adaptive-acmepedagogical, personified-productive, and functional-labor approaches that provide traditional and innovative models of the study and research of scientific-pedagogical phenomena and events, thus improving the quality of pedagogical solutions on micro-, meso-, and macro level. The implemented methods and technologies optimize the quality of production and facilitation, cooperation and self-realization, socialization, and self-actualization. The multidimensionality of the approach reveals the prospects for a teacher who would contribute to the personal development (construct "I want, I can, I must, there is"), as well as holistic and system-mobile formation of the student. In this research, a student is understood as a product that unites all the components of education: science, art, culture, sports, and other areas of socialization and self-realization. We present the results of a theoretical analysis of the psychological bases of success of athletes. We provide an overview of studies of the factors influencing the success of the activities in the sport. Sports activities are considered as a joint activity of athlete and coach, the success of which is affected by the personal qualities and characteristics of the relationship of its members. We summarize the main approaches to the study of personality and social psychological aspects of successful athletes and coaches. As the main factors in the success of sports activities, we considered individual psychological characteristics of athletes (motives, attitudes, modes of behavior and response), and socio-psychological characteristics of the interaction of coach and athlete (leadership style, the nature of interpersonal relationships and role expectations). We emphasize the importance of mutual role expectations of athlete and coach to achieve high results of sports activity.
