- L'articolo risponde negativamente alla domanda, a partire dall'assunto che le persone non devono essere sacrificate nel nome di privilegi, ideali o altre persone. L'egoismo etico, quale č celebrato nell'Unico e la sua proprietÀ (1844) di Max Stirner, pare essere un efficace antidoto contro le eccessive pretese morali altrui. Infatti, l'origine del problema della sostituibilitÀ non risiede, come pensa Peter Singer, nell'edonismo, bensě nella imparzialitÀ forte dell'etica kantiana e di quella utilitarista, che escludono qualunque ragione egoistica dalla scelta morale.

Este artículo examina los presupuestos metodológicos, axiológicos y normativos en los que descansa la que posiblemente sea la obra más conocida de Peter Singer, Liberación animal. Se exploran las tensiones entre la posición normativa, de compromisos mínimos, que se intenta adoptar en esa obra, y las posiciones de Singer acerca del utilitarismo de las preferencias y el argumento de la reemplazabilidad. Se buscará elucidar en particular el modo en el que surgen tales tensiones al abordarse la consideración del agregacionismo y el interés en vivir en relación con el uso de animales no humanos.

This book is an account of the life and times of a loose friendship group (later christened the Oxford Group) of ten people, primarily postgraduate philosophy students, who attended the University of Oxford for a short period of time from the late 1960s. The Oxford Group, which included—most notably—Peter Singer and Richard Ryder, set about thinking about, talking about, and promoting the idea of animal rights and vegetarianism. The group therefore played a role, largely undocumented and unacknowledged, in the emergence of the animal rights movement and the discipline of animal ethics. Most notably, the group produced an edited collection of articles published as Animals, Men and Morals in 1971 that was instrumental in one of their number—Peter Singer—writing Animal Liberation in 1975, a book that has had an extraordinary influence in the intervening years. The book serves as a case study of how the emergence of important work and the development of new ideas can be explained, and, in particular, how far the intellectual development of individuals is influenced by their participation in a creative community.

O pensamento egoísta de Max Stirner povoou a reflexão críticadesde oséculo XIX até à contemporaneidade, servindo como uma das bases para o movimento do anarco-individualismo. Entretanto, sua estrutura serve como início para uma aceleração da desconstrução da noção de individualidade– não mais lida, aqui, como uma essência presente em cada ser, mas como uma categoria viva que transpassa os corpos de quaisquer tipos de entidades que povoam o real e imaginário. Esteartigo é uma tentativa de expor tais significados e compreender essa relação como uma possibilidade de cocriação da individualidade, a partir do estudo da noção de devir-animal, em Julian Langer, e do evento do funeral budista de cachorros robôs no templo budista Kofuku-Ji, em Chiba,no Japão, em 2018.Palavras-chave: Egoísmo. Na tentativa de distinguir o pensar e o conhecer, o artigo apresenta um exercício de pensamento como possibilidade de atividade acadêmica na formação de professores. O texto se pauta no exame crítico de algumas noções e conceitos que gravitam em torno da igualdade de direito à educação, a saber, estigma, diferença, direitos humanos, igualdade, e igualdade de oportunidades e ação a% rmativa em diálogo com alguns % lósofos contemporâneos, a saber, Hannah Arendt, Jacques Derrida, John Rawls e Peter Singer. Trilha-se um caminho que parte do juízo perceptivo e chega-se ao juízo ético, que atribui a igual consideração de interesses.
