Purposed to promote the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the game field, this article adopts the literature analysis method and the case study method, analyzes the problems with virtual reality (VR) games and explores several popular VR game cases in China and abroad before summarizing the artistic characteristics of VR games. Artificial intelligence technology has brought a new creative mode to the game industry, while providing more suitable game content for players. Further, artificial intelligence technology can equip VR games with better game experience by analyzing players’ physiological and psychological information as well as players’ game strategies. Compared with traditional games, VR games can deliver better interactivity, deeper immersion and higher fidelity. However, VR games impose higher requirements on device data and space scale; in other words, they must meet specific requirements to provide better game experience. VR games also have monotonous game types and high prices. In the future, the integration of VR games with artificial intelligence would generate more profound game-player experiences and richer game contents.

AbstractArtificial intelligence and edge devices have been used at an increased rate in managing the COVID-19 pandemic. In this article we review the lessons learned from COVID-19 to postulate possible solutions for a Disease X event. The overall purpose of the study and the research problems investigated is the integration of artificial intelligence function in digital healthcare systems. The basic design of the study includes a systematic state-of-the-art review, followed by an evaluation of different approaches to managing global pandemics. The study design then engages with constructing a new methodology for integrating algorithms in healthcare systems, followed by analysis of the new methodology and a discussion. Action research is applied to review existing state of the art, and a qualitative case study method is used to analyse the knowledge acquired from the COVID-19 pandemic. Major trends found as a result of the study derive from the synthesis of COVID-19 knowledge, presenting new insights in the form of a conceptual methodology—that includes six phases for managing a future Disease X event, resulting with a summary map of various problems, solutions and expected results from integrating functional AI in healthcare systems.

It is very important to identify fires in substations. Traditional fire alarm systems have problems such as low sensitivity and slow response. This article introduces the working principle of a fire alarm system based on artificial intelligence. And this article also designs different smoke particle sampling schemes for different areas in the substation, such as functional rooms/cable trenches, to ensure the correct operation of the system combined with the actual conditions of each area. Resulting that the fire alarm system based on artificial intelligence can detect the fire at the early stage and alarm in time.

In the 21st century, great power competition dominates the field of international relations. Much has been written about the US and China rivalry for technological dominance, specifically in artificial intelligence. But these analyses are missing one essential player: Europe. I ask will China use its advancements in artificial intelligence to overtake the United States as a superpower, disrupting the US hegemon, just as the United States once did in a post-cold war era with the USSR.  Europe is developing its own strategy and capabilities to rival those of the US and China. I use a cross-country qualitative case study method to examine advancements in artificial intelligence across the US, China, and Europe, specifically France and Germany. To determine each states’ leadership and capabilities, I compare them across their AI dreams, hardware, research, and ecosystem. In this comparison I find that whilst China’s numbers outcompete the US and Europe in total output, there are multiple criterium, notably in top tier development, where there is still a significant gap China needs to close between its rivals. Thus, providing an opportunity for Europe, specifically France and Germany, to develop and lead certain criterium regarding core AI development. This paper contributes to existing scholarship on artificial intelligence and US-China relations by adding the European dimension.

The aim of this research is to analyze the use of immersive and brand journalism in the information published by RTVE Lab. The case study method has been used, which combines both qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results reveal that virtual reality (VR) is an attractive format for disseminating cultural news because it enhances the immersive experience of the user; yet approximately only 20% of VR is used to provide information about branded content.

Artificial intelligence is one of the methods in elaborating design, especially on architectural design. This method has been adapted to many designs, such as building complex, massing models. This study aims to determine the influence of artificial intelligence in forming complex conceptual designs in architecture. We used a case study method by examining documents or journals related to research to conduct this research. The results show that more than 50% of artificial intelligence helps architects make conceptual designs. This is due to artificial intelligence's ability to analyze data and turn it into a draft plan. Then, it will be analyzed by the architect will so that they can make the final plan. However, there is still a bad influence that allows an architect to be replaced by automation. Therefore, that means artificial intelligence must be used with great responsibility.
