In order to improve the resilience of the region to hazards, it is necessary to provide the required number of experts that is to modernize and develop higher education at the regional higher education institutions in the field of Disaster Risk Management and Fire Safety Engineering. A master study program should be developed to satisfy various criteria, according to regional needs for resilient society, such as the shift from reactive to proactive actions, developing a culture of prevention in built environment and learning to live with risks. Final goal is to produce capable experts, to be able to withstand difficult requirements of today and tomorrow. Compliance of the regional master program with similar programs, developed in the EU countries, strengthens the capacity of individual countries and the region as a whole in the process of European integration.

In this paper we evaluate the development framework Jasonette which is based on JSON. The evaluation was carried out by means of a prototype of an app informing prospective students about the study program Enterprise Computing at the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences. We defined a set of criteria that we cross checked during and after the implementation of the app.

Writing is one of the English skills needed by engineering students to express their knowledge and skill relating to their major. Based on the researcher’s teaching experience, students still have low ability in writing. In this research, the researcher made an effort to improve their descriptive writing text in an engineering context. The aim was to increase their ability to make descriptive text using Genre Based Approach. The research was carried out in the Road and Bridge Planning Study Program in the Civil Engineering Department of a Polytechnic in Indonesia. The sample included the students of the study program. The design of the research was the Pre Test-Post Test Design. The result shows that the students’ writing ability can be increased by applying the GBA teaching procedure with adjustment to their major and level of English capability. This strategy can be used as an alternative to improve students’ ability to make descriptive texts in an engineering context.

The purpose of this article is to examine the development of integrated and interconnected paradigm based curriculum of the Arabic education based on KKNI and SN-Dikti. (1) Have the curriculum structure of the study program been prepared in accordance with the needs of students who will face challenges in society as the aim of the KKNI formulation?, (2) Is the depth and freedom of lecture material in accordance with the KKNI guidebook and curriculum preparation manual for high education?. This article is a type of library research with qualitative research method because the data source in this study is a curriculum document that was developed referring to KKNI and SN-Dikti in the PBA UIN Suka Yogyakarta Master’s Program. Data analysis method used descriptive-analytical method. The results of this study indicate the curriculum structure of the PBA Master’s program in UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, referring to KKNI and SN-Dikti, which are grouped into basic courses of expertise, concentration, and support which are divided into compulsory and elective courses with a total of 40 credits. The determination of the level of breadth and depth of the study materials has covered the elements of KKNI and SN-Dikti qualifications, namely, elements of science, knowledge, skills and expertise. The curriculum structure approach used by the PBA UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta master program is a serial model approach that is based on its scientific logic or structure.

Games are interactive multimedia products that require programming logic and graphic design capabilities in the development process. Game development using Unity Game Engine has become a primary subject in the Multimedia Engineering Technology study program, School of Applied Sciences, Telkom University. In the initial observation, it was found that more than 33% of students have difficulties in making a game using the C# language for Unity. The students understand the Game Design Pattern logic but having difficulty when applying it into programming codes. This research proposes Zetcil, a Game Mechanic Framework that simplifies the game development process for the Unity Game Engine. This framework turned most of the text-based programming commands into visual properties. Based on research for two years, it concluded that the Zetcil could increase 36% of student's confidence to develop games prototype rapidly.
