One of the ways of increasing level of animal economically useful traits is selection work with farm families. In pedigree cattle breeding of Ukraine families are a statistical component of breed genealogy. Among the main scientific works on working with families, it should be noted minimum number of female ancestors, proposed by D. T. Vinnichuk, to determine the breeding value, different categories, classification and techniques for evaluating related groups of females. The aim of our research was to analyse importance of farm families for genealogical structure of the breed. The research was on basis of data of primary breeding records at the herd of Volyn Beef cattle of “Zorya” breeding farm, Kovel district, Volyn region. Akula 102, Galka 37 and Galka 1537 families belonging to Krasavchyk 3004 bloodline, Smorodyna 613, Korona 2382 and Visla 1016 families – Tsebryk 3888 bloodline, Kalyna 212, Verba 1536 and Garna 536 families – Yamb 3066 bloodlines, Kazka 433, Galka 421 and Bystra 1124 families – Buinyi 3042 bloodline, Rozetka 1313, Arfa 599 and Bulana 943 families – Sonnyi-Kaktus 3307-9828 bloodline, and Palma 275, Desna 870 and Veselka 444 families – Mudryi 9100 bloodline were characterized. Belonging to a bloodline was determined by the father's side of female ancestors. Structural units of families: branches, branching with identifying the best individuals on breeding traits were submitted to identify the best combinations and successful use of closely related breeding. Comparing assessment of related groups of females on the main breeding traits belonging to Krasavchyk 3004 bloodline, it was noted that the cows of Akula 102 family predominated in live weight at 5 years’ age, milk ability and economic use duration, whereas the cows of Galka 1537 family – on traits of reproductive ability. Smorodyna 613 family of Tsebryk 3888 bloodline had high duration of economic use and cows’ live weight at 5 years’ age compared with Korana 2382 and Visla 1016 families with equal values of the exterior traits (height measures) and coefficient of reproductive ability. The families of Mudryi 9100 bloodline in terms of reproduction (calving interval, coefficient of reproductive ability) had the highest figures of cows’ milk ability and live weight. The cows of Bulana 943 family had a considerable predominance over representatives of Rozetka 1313 and Arfa 599 families of Sonnyi-Kaktus 3307-9828 bloodline by main economically useful traits. High indices of reproductive ability were noted in these families. Heifers of the families of Buinyi 3042 bloodline had high live weight at 18 months’ age at average values of milk ability and cows’ live weight at 5 years’ age. More equal figures of growth rate, exterior and economic use duration were observed in the cows of Kalyna 212, Verba 1536 and Garna 536 families of Yamb 3066 bloodline. Breeding by families in beef cattle breeding is an important element of selection, because it allows to evaluate not only related group of female ancestor, but also to analyse a successful combination with lines and purposeful use of closely related breeding by the best representatives of a breed.

Introduction. In the structure of meat cattle breeding in Ukraine already a long time the leader in the number among of breeds of foreign origin there is a Aberdeen-Angus. This breed, due to its high manufacturability, is intensively used as a genetic material in the breed-forming process and increase the production capacities of the pedigree base of cattle breeding. At one time, the most intensive works on the development of the breed was conduct on the basis of the SAE "Main Breeding Center of Ukraine". Thanks the validity state support was organized the estimating of bulls for their own productivity and quality of descendants, was formed a bank of deep-frozen sperm and embryos, were created informative electronic card indexes of individual data of pedigree animals. This determines the expediency of analyzing the features of the formation of the genealogical structure of the population of the Aberdeen-Angus breed on the basis of the study of individual herds, which becoming the purpose of this work. The purpose of this work was to investigate the genealogical lines and families in the herd of Aberdeen-Angus breed in SAE "Main Breeding Center of Ukraine". Research materials and methods. The study of the genealogical structure was carried out on the basis of data primary zootechnical accounting in the format of SMDC "Orsek-M", expeditionary examination of the herd and the results of a comprehensive individual estimating of animals. Biometric processing of data was carrying out according to the method of N. A. Plokhinsky with using the software Microsoft Excel. Research results. As of 01.01.2021 year, in the herd of the enterprise total accrued of 155 heads, including 84 cows, which now fertilization of the method of natural mating bulls, purchased from the LLC “Ratnivsky Agrariy”, which obtained by method of artificial insemination of high-producing cows of the 2nd and older calves sperm of bull of Team Z Pecina 4031. Now the uterine stock of the studied herd belongs to the lines Southom Extr – 29 heads, Raito Iver 865 – 18 heads, Villabar 85 – 8 heads, Raito B 1567126 – 7 heads, Vetonk 2446 – 5 heads, Ilinmer Led 173 – 4 heads, Brialhill Sauzerner – 2 heads and the related group Team Z Pecina 4031 – 11 heads. The age of cows fluctuated from 3.1 to 19.2 years, and in the average be 9.8 years. The oldest cows belongs to the lines Raito B 1567126, Brialhill Sauzerner and Ilinmer Led 173, the youngest – to the related group Team Z Pecina 4031 and to the line Vetonk 2446. In the studied herd total detected 23 potential ancestors, which have living descendants of female sex. The most numerous are the families of K. Pride 11212597 – 9 descendants, E. Pride 11153487 – 8 descendants, K. Vessi 10887560 – 7 descendants. Dairy cattle breeding is one of the leading livestock sectors whose purpose is to ensure the production of high quality dairy raw materials in volumes meeting the scientifically grounded standards of state food security and expanding the export potential of the agrarian sector. The purpose of our research was to study the status and prospects of dairy cattle breeding in the Kirovograd region. Material and methods of research. The research was carried out on the basis of the electronic database of breeding goals (including 2312 cows), official statistics and estimates of cattle of various breeds that are involved in the production of dairy direction in the breeding farms of the Kirovograd region. The analysis used zootechnical and statistical methods. The calculations were carried out using the software package "STATISTICA-6,1" Results. According to the research (2001–2018), the cattle population in the Kirovograd oblast decreased by a factor of 2.6. Thus, as of January 1, 2018, its number constituted 96.3 thousand heads in all categories of farms, 53.1 thousand of them were cows, the number of which also decreased by 2.4 times. Specific gravity of cattle population of farms remains significant and makes up 72.7%, and 80.6% in the livestock of cows. The largest number of cows of agricultural enterprises declined significantly. Thus, as of January 1, 2018, their number was 10.3 thousand goals, which is 4.7 times less than in the same period of 2001. In the households there is also a tendency for a permanent reduction of cows, the difference is, respectively, 37.0 thousand heads or 46.4% The development of dairy cattle breeding is characterized by two opposite tendencies: reduction of livestock of cows and increase of their productivity. Thus, in agricultural enterprises in 2010, compared to 2000, hopes per cow increased by 2.5 times, in all categories of farms by 1.8 times. In 2017, the increase in dairy costs in agricultural enterprises compared to 2010 amounted to 60.0% in farms of all categories 12.2%. The researches found that in the agricultural enterprises of the oblast as of January 1, 2018 there are 26256 head of cattle, including 10281 cows. The breeding part of the existing cows is 3.013 heads, 29.3% of the total number located in 10 breeding farms. The analysis of the genealogy structure showed that the experimental population of cows belongs to 18 lines and related groups of which the most numerous Chifa 1427381 – 20.4%, Starbuck 352790 – 20.1%, Henev 1629391 – 18.6% , Eleusis 1491007 – 11.2%, Family 267150 – 10.8%. Among the indicated lines, the lowest level of milk productivity was first-born cows. The 1491007, the milk of milk for 305 days of lactation was 4466 ± 99.8 kg, and the milk fat was 168.2 ± 6.5 kg. Analogues l Starbak 352779 was characterized by the highest milk productivity, its level was 5696 + 98.8 kg and 224.9 ± 9.7 kg, respectively. The difference in stomach was 1230 ± 140.4 kg (td = 10.2) and at the release of milk fat 56.7 ± 5.28 kg (td = 10.2) at P < 0.001. However, the latter were markedly less service life (125 against 168 days) and logically higher reproduction rate compared to other lines. An analysis of the intensity of the formation of live weight of young animals has been established for its highest growth in heifers of controlled herds in the period from 9 to 12 months. Thus, in animals of Ukrainian red breed, the growth rate of live weight during this period was 75 kg, Ukrainian red-shrimp 61 kg, Ukrainian black-and-white 73 kg, Holstein 76 kg. Accordingly, during this period, the average daily gain of live weight of young breeds of these breeds was 833 g; 678 g; 811 g, 835 g. The sharp fluctuations of average daily increments during growing periods, first of all, testify to the unequal conditions of growing and feeding young animals than the breed differences. In general, as a result of the analysis of the formation of live weight of heifers, a significant level of phenotypic variability was observed, which confirms sufficient genetic resources and preconditions for selection on the given sign. Therefore, proceeding from the above, in the long run, selection work for breeding improvement of cattle breeding farms of the Kirovograd region should be conducted in accordance with certain promising directions according to groups of breeds. Conclusions. A very important factor in the growth of milk production in the Kirovograd region is high-yield pedigree cattle. The main task on the way of bringing breeding cases in dairy farming to the modern level is the introduction of computer breeding records in breeding farms. This will allow to estimate in the near future bulls-pedigrees, which were used in the past in these farms, to allocate among them complex improvers for precisely the specific conditions and maximally attract them for reproduction. On the other hand, a reliable clogging of poor quality in the genetic sense of sperm production, which leads to negative consequences, will be posed. When establishing the assessment of the breeding value of bulls and developing a single plan of breeding and breeding work in the region, one can proceed to the next step of improving breeding and breeding business, introducing a progressive method of raising the breeding value of animals of large-scale breeding. As a result, the profit from the breeding of highly productive animals, well adapted to specific conditions, will significantly exceed the costs. At the same time, the proposed measures will allow the breeding business to be brought up to the modern world level and stimulate highly productive cattle breeding.

The results of evaluating the breeding value of rams of different genotypes by a wide range of productivity indicators of their descendants are presented. Tribal rams of the Kharkov interbreed type of Prekos breed of 2-3 years of age, as well as crosses from the introductory crossing of Prekos sheep with the Romanov breed and Merinolandsheep, were evaluated. The resulting offspring were grown under the conditions of one production flock. The evaluation considered the indicators of the reproductive ability of ewes, sex and type of birth of the offspring, the safety of lambs from birth to 20 days of age, the dynamics of the average daily growth of daughters in the uterus and at the age of birth to 20 days and from 21 to 90 days, live weight indicators were considered, cutting and length of hair of daughters at the age of 14 months. Studies have established that the average yield of lambs throughout the sample was 115.3 % per 100 ewes, with significant differences between the estimated producers - from 105.1 to 131.3 %. This indicator did not have a definite relationship with the genotype of the estimated sheep. Among the offspring of all rams, males slightly prevail over females in the ratio of 1.09 to 1. This advantage is due to the large number of rams born among same-sex twins. Their part exceeded 28 %, while only 23.4 % turned out to be similar in type of birth. By the sum of the ranks that were put to individual sheep for the indicators of the average daily growth of daughters at different periods of their growth, the best cross-breed sheep No. 1625 and No. 9953 are distinguished. On the whole, there is a fairly clear tendency for a positive relationship between the ranks for the growth rate in the embryonic period and the same indicator for posterity aged 21-90 days. According to both the ranking and the probity-based evaluation results, ram No. 1625 (a created line based on crossing with the Romanov breed) is assigned to complex improvers. The rest topping ram out to be improvers of individual traits, and the producer of the breed Prekos No. 1823 was an improvement in production of wool and length of staple. Ram No. 1960 turned out to be a complex deteriorator in the quality of offspring. The descendants of rams No. 4464 and 9953, derived from the breed of Merino landscape, reliably (p≤0.01), by 18.6-20.8 % in terms of wool coefficients, are inferior to the daughters of ram No. 1823, breed Prekos, which is an unconditional evidence of the strengthening of their characters meat productivity over wool one.

Introduction. When creating the Simmental beef breed of cattle during many years carried out researches to study the effectiveness of the use of meat Simmentals of foreign selection in crossbreeding with cows of Simmental breed of domestic selection. Were created the herds of the desirable type by breeding "in themselves" animals, that meet the requirements of the target standard, formed a genealogical structure. Now carry out the work with related groups of cattle of the created Simmental meat breed, which are the basis for the creation of further lines, but the growth and development of animals of different related groups have not been sufficiently studied. Therefore, the study problems of growth and development of repair heifers of different related groups has not only theoretical, but also practical importance. The purpose of our researches was to study the dynamics of linear growth and weight development of heifers of different related groups of the created Simmental meat breed. Research materials and methods. The researches was carried out on heifers of different related groups of the created Simmental meat breed in PJSC "Dniprovske" of Boryspil district of Kyiv region. To analyze the growth and development of heifers were formed groups of animals depending on their belongings to related groups of 15 heads in each: I Group – Metz 5290; II – Achilles 369; III – Abricot 58311; IV – Huxla 19223; V – Hercules 8942 and VI – Signal 120. Research results. It was determined, that heifers of the II group, which belong to the related group of Achilles 369, by live weight at all ages of periods surpass to peers. Thus, at 18 months of age the advantage of heifers of the II group by live weight in comparison with to peers of the I, III, IV, V and VI groups was 4.1; 3.0; 5.0; 14.1 and 11.4 kg. In heifers of related groups Hercules 8942 and Signal 120, the coefficients of variability of live weight at birth in which were the lowest, and in the following age periods they little changed, therefore at 18 months of age in these heifers they were the highest, comparison with analogues, and was to 8.4 and 9.2%, respectively. When studying the exterior of heifers of different related groups it was determined, that newborn heifers of the I group, which belong to the related group of Metz 5290, surpass their peers in height indicators. Their the height at the withers and the height at the sacrum were 74.0 and 79.1 cm, which is 0.6; 1.3; 2.1; 3.2 and 2.6 cm and is 0.3; 1.2; 2.9; 3.6 and 3.2 cm more than in analogues of the II, III, IV, V and VI groups, respectively. The best indicators of latitudinal measurements had the heifers of the III group, which belong to the related group Abricot 58311. In heifers of this group the width of the chest was 17.6 cm, width in the hip joints – 21.8 cm, width in the hips – 18.1 cm, and width in the ischial tubercles – 12.6 cm. The depth of the chest and the girth of the chest behind the shoulder blades were the highest in heifers of the I group, which belong to the related group of Metz 5290. They were 32.2 and 79.6 cm, respectively. When analyzing the measurements of heifers at 18 months of age, it was determined, that the height indicators had advantage by heifers of the II group, which belong to the related group of Achilles 369. Their, the height at the withers and height at the sacrum were 124.5 and 129.8 cm, which is 0.3; 1.3; 2.5; 5.3 and 4.2 cm and is 0.9; 2.2; 4.1; 6.6 and 5.9 cm more than in analogues of the I, III, IV, V and VI groups, respectively. The best indicators of latitudinal measurements had the heifers of the III group, which belong to the related group of Abricot 58311, since they had increases of measurements width of the chest, width in the hip joints, width in the hips and width in the ischial tubercles for the period from birth to 18 months of age the highest comparison with peers. Such indicators as depth of the chest and the girth of the chest behind the shoulder blades were highest in heifers of the II group, which belong to the related group of Achilles 369. Their increases of measurements depth of the chest and the girth of the chest behind the shoulder blades for the period from birth to 18 months of age also were highest comparison with peers and were 35.5 and 94.2 cm, respectively. Conclusions. It was determined, that the animals of the related group of Achilles 369 at all ages of periods had a large live weight in comparison with their analogues. The lowest coefficient of variability of live weight at 18 months of age was in heifers of the related group Abrikot 58311 and amounted to 6.5%. Heifers of the related group of Achilles 369 had the highest indicators of the following measurements: height at the withers (124.5 cm), height at the sacrum (129.8 cm), depth of the chest (67.4 cm), girth of chest behind the shoulder blades (173.1 cm) and oblique length of body (146.4 cm). The highest latitudinal measurements were observed in the heifers of the related group Abrikot 58311. Thus, the width of the chest was 49.9 cm, the width in the hip joints was 42.2 cm, the width in the hips was 43.3 cm, and the width in the ischial tubercles was 29.2 cm. Heifers of the related group Metz 5290 had the highest half-girth croup (110.2 cm) and girth of metacarpus (18.4 cm). In general, heifers of all groups showed good energy of growth and a typical for beef cattle exterior.

The influence of bullock`s different breeding value for reproductive ability and milk production of their  daughters were investigated. Established that the age of first productive insemination of heifers Ukrainian black spotted milk breed, was 17.5–18.6 months and age of first calving – 26.6–27.8 months. Heifers` live weight at the first insemination was 361.4–407.1 kg. During first lactation the highest productivity had daughters from parents with breeding value by milk yield more than 801 kg. In the first lactation wasn’t found significant difference in duration service-period and interparturition-period for cows derived from progenitors with different breeding value. In the second lactation best indexes in duration service-period and interparturition-period for cows derived from progenitors with breeding value by milk yield 601–800 kg and more than 801 kg. In the third, the highest lactation, these indexes were best for cows derived from progenitors with breeding value by milk yield 601–800 kg. The difference in milk yield during first lactation between heifers received from progenitors with breeding value by milk yield less than 200 kg and heifers from bullock`s  with breeding value 401–600 kg was 292 kg. The difference in milk yield between heifers received from progenitors with breeding value by milk yield less than 200 kg and heifers from bullock`s  with breeding value  with breeding value 601–800 kg  was 660.3 kg. The difference in milk yield between heifers received from progenitors with breeding value by milk yield less than 200 kg and heifers from bullock`s  with breeding value more than 801 kg was  920.8 kg In the second lactation this difference was 589.8 (Р < 0.001), 841.5 (Р < 0.001) і 894.4 (Р < 0.001) kg of milk, in the third, the highest lactation – 754.5 (Р < 0.001), 951.8 (Р < 0.001) і 1335.7 кг (Р < 0.001).

In a market economy, the prime-cost of production is the most important indicator of the financial and economic activity of any economic entity. It is a cost estimate of all resources used in the production process of the industry: feed, animal protection products, materials, fuel, energy, fixed assets, labour, natural and other costs associated with its production and sale. The purpose of the work was to calculate the prime-cost of production when rearing of young animals in dairy and beef cattle breeding in the Kurgan region. The analysis has shown that according to the years of observations less than half of livestock products were produced in agricultural organizations of the region: meat – 36,3–38,6 %, milk – 29,3–30,6 %. Egg production in agricultural organizations was at the level of 13 %. The correct choice of objects of calculation and calculation units, as well as the use of special methodological recommendations for accounting production costs and calculating the prime-cost of products (works, services) in agricultural organizations allows us to more accurately determine the prime-cost in dairy and beef cattle breeding. Despite the great attention to the individual aspects of cost accounting and calculating the prime-cost of agricultural production, there is still a need and importance of a more detailed study and further improvement of accounting and calculation of meat and dairy cattle products. The prime-cost of the gain in the live weight of young cattle can be calculated by different methods, but at the same time the selected option must be fixed in the accounting policy of the organization.

The study was conducted on 325 cows of Ukrainian Red-and-White Dairy and Holstein breeds of the herd of the farm “Khristinovske”. These cows were descended from 28 bulls of 12 lines and related groups. A sufficiently high level of indicators of the duration and effectiveness of lifetime use of cows was established. The average life expectancy of the cows under control was 2750, economic use was 1711, and lactation was 1459 days. An average of 26221 kg of milk, 1097 kg of milk fat and 889 kg of protein were obtained from cows in lifetime (3.63 lactations). On average, 8.7 kg was milked per day of life from cows, on day of economic use – 14.6 kg, on day of lactation –17.2 kg. Received 657, 1030 and 122 g of milk fat and protein, respectively. On average, the coefficient of economic use rate was 58.5%, the lactation rate was 85.6%, and productive use was 49.9%. For most of the studied features of the duration and effectiveness of lifetime use, multidirectional and low interspecific differentiation were established. Holstein cows had the same cows of Ukrainian Red-and-White Dairy breeds as expectancy of life, economic use, and lactation. Cows of the Holstein breed were dominated by cows of Ukrainian Red-and-White Dairy for milk fat and protein yield for one day of life, economic use, lactation and lactation rate. In animals of Ukrainian Red-and-White Dairy breed with increasing conditional bloodiness by Holstein, duration and effectiveness of lifetime use varied curvilinearly. For the most part, the cows group with 87.5% conditional bloodiness by Holstein had the advantage. A certain level of intergroup differentiation is established by the genetic factors of cows' lineage or related group and father parentage. For the most signes of duration and effectiveness of lifetime use are characterized by the better indicators animals of the P. F. A. Chief 1427381 related group and the genealogical line of R. Citation 267150, and by the worse indicators – P. Astronaut 1458744 line. In some cases, the intergroup difference reaches a significant level (up to P < 0.05). Of the half-sisters by parent groups, the daughters of Tumpi 112367468, Vize 660013269, and Roman 660886883 had the highest prevalence and effectiveness of lifetime use, and the worst were the descendants of Y. J. Gladiator 5840283 and Voron 3206. A dispersion analysis confirmed the genetic predisposition of the phenotypic variability of the studied traits of the duration and effectiveness of economic use of cows. On average, by all counted signs, linear membership determines 6.0% of the total phenotypic variability, and parentage from father – 12.1%. Therefore, when selecting the sires, their linear identity should be taken into account with the unconditional priority of the breeding value of the bulls according to the complex breeding index.

The article presents the findings on the dynamics of the live weight of calves of various breeds in similar climatic conditions in arid regions of the Stavropol Krai of Russia and the steppe zone of Ukraine. It has been established that the live weight of calves of the Hereford, Kazakh white-headed and Kalmyk breeds when raised according to the traditional technology of beef cattle breeding when calves are sucked under cows up to 6-7 months of age, is in relationship with the milk qualities of mothers. At the same time, the live weight of the gray Ukrainian calves was interrelated regarding the live weight at birth and the feeding technology. A positive relationship was shown in the live weight of calves at birth and during their implementation at 15 and 18 months of age. Most effectively animals used pasture fodder in spring and summer. In an arid climate, it is more appropriate to breed specialized cattle belonging to the Hereford breed and then sell them for breeding in other farms in the region.
