The Internet is a technology that continued to develop. The development of Internet applications as if ceaselessly. Starting from electronic mail applications known as e-mail, online games, to social networking, such as: twitter, path, Instagram, Facebook, and so forth. The Internet gives a lot of influence to human life. On the one hand, it provides a variety of conveniences for its users, but also gives a negative impact. The development of 21st century technology demands all elements throughout the world of education to utilize technology on all aspects. Digital Citizenship is a concept that helps school counselor and parents to know what students should know about using technology properly. Digital citizenship is the norm of using true and responsible technology. The role of school counselor is required to able the technology for guide students to become good citizen digital models, and the most important is how to form the habit of accessing the digital world in a safe way.

In today's age of the Internet, computers and mobile phones for people of all ages are available in almost every home. In addition, in today’s world-wide pandemic, the use of the Internet for education and all aspects of cultural, socio-economic life as well as games such as games is growing rapidly. This, in turn, has a psychological effect on the individual, both positively and negatively on our society and national values. In this article, I have tried to highlight the positive and negative aspects of the internet world that affect the individual. In the article we will focus on the role of the virtual world in human life, the need not to depend on it, to use it for useful purposes.

A national study conducted with the members of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) database examined school counselors’ utilization of online technologies. The researchers also explored beliefs and practices and examined mitigating factors such as school counselors’ background, training, and experience. Training impacted counselors’ belief in the advantages of technology and their level of comfort. Females were significantly more likely to blur personal and professional boundaries irrespective of their training. The article discusses implications for school counselors.

The School Counseling Leadership Team (SCLT) is a model of a collaborative team formed to advocate for the transformed role of professional school counselors. The members of the SCLT included school district counseling supervisors, counselor educators, and leaders of statewide school counselor organizations. This article reviews the need for and evolution of the SCLT, its goals, accomplishments, and future plans. Suggestions and guidelines are offered for replicating the model.

The article presents the relationship between the Internet, the state and politics. It starts from describing similarities between politics and social aspects of the Internet. This is described in the context of Web 2.0, collective intelligence, informal circuits of cultural content and multitasking. Then two perspectives of the functioning of the Internet in the contemporary state and politics are shown. The first, which is a top-down perspective, describes the concepts of e-government and e-participation. The second one, which is bottom-up, refers to new types of election campaigns as well as the role of new media in social change. In conclusion, there are some questions regarding cyberdemocracy and digital citizenship.

This chapter reports on a study investigating a community Web site project operating in a UK village community. The aim of the study is to determine the impacts the online business directory component of this community Web site is having on the small businesses in the village, including consideration of the benefits they are deriving from their participation in the directory, the problems they have encountered through their participation, and the effects their involvement is having on their wider Internet adoption strategy and decisions. The findings highlight the value of community Web sites for small businesses, both for those that have already adopted various Internet applications into their operations, as well as for non-adopters of the Internet. It is suggested that existing discussions of small business approaches to Internet adoption might usefully be extended to incorporate the role of community Web sites.

Introduction: Society today is overly overwhelmed with advertisements for attractive products and ways to purchase them. The population is becoming richer and richer, which means they can spend more money on entertainment and their own pleasures.   Purpose: To present the role of shopping in human life in 2021 from the perspective of consumers. Material and method: The study was carried out using the author's questionnaire. 260 questionnaires were collected and analyzed. Results: Men (52.3%) and women (47.7%) participated in the study. More than half of them (53.8%) were employed and more than 30% were studying.  One in three respondents earned cash income greater than the minimum national gross rate. Nearly 60% rated their material situation as good. The analysis showed knowledge of the term "consumerism" by 83.1% of people. The study showed that the respondents shopped several times a week (69.2%) and even daily (18.5%). In order to buy food products, they usually visited supermarkets (64.6%), and in buying products they were most often guided by quality (47.7%). They are most encouraged by sales (50.8%), as well as recommendations from friends (18.5%) and product ingredients (12.6%). The data shows that as many as 58.5% of respondents used shopping to improve their mood. They were also induced to buy products by advertisements in the media (49.2%). Conclusions: For consumers, apart from the price, the quality of the products is of primary importance. They buy mainly in large supermarkets and via the Internet. The advertisements in media, promotions and the desire to improve one’s mood are the reasons of increasing phenomenon of consumerism.

„2017 from within the EU the Internet access households ratio has risen to 87%, which is 32% points exceed the ten years ago, 2007 levels. In 2017, 85% of the EU households used broadband network, which is approximately the double of the 2007 ratio. We can read such and similar to this data in the report of Eurostat called "A digital economy and society statistics - households and individuals” report. Our lives are networked with the Internet and its digital tools - as it is proven clearly by the above data.But do we have the knowledge, ability and attitude to live digitally, not just at the tool-driven level, but to be active participants? Are we able to participate effectively, responsibly and productively in the networked digital world? Does our (widely interpreted) digital competence can follow the accelerated development of the digital, online tools?In this study, we discuss the question of how we can develop digital citizenship competence from our daily digital life. Meanwhile, we also discuss the role and potential of digital pedagogy which can give the opportunity for the practice and development of digital citizenship competence whether in a formal, informal or non-formal education system.

The main role of School Counselors in the Era of the Indonesian Revolution 4.0, is expected to formulate various types of counseling guidance services that are appropriate to the needs of students in this era. One type of school counselor services in providing services to students needed in this era is an advocacy service that refers to Permendikbud No. 111 (2014) although in this regulation we only get very limited information about advocacy, but it is expected that in its implementation, school counselors will be able to interpret and carry out advocacy at the micro and macro levels. Counselors should be able to: (1) empower students by helping them develop advocacy skills, (2) conduct relevant negotiation efforts to help students access resources, (3) build collaborative relationships with relevant community institutions to overcome various challenges, ( 4) implementing advocacy ideas at the system level, (5) communicating relevant information to the public, and (6) engaging in social / political advocacy activities. Advocacy services are counselor services in schools that are intended to assist students who experience non-educational, discriminatory, malpractice, violence, harassment, and criminal behavior. The function of counselor services in advocacy services, helps students gain learning about their rights and / or interests that are not getting much attention. Therefore, the role of counselors in advocacy services is very important in the process of counseling guidance services in schools. So the counselor must have the ability to guide students well. In order for counselors to be able to provide optimal guidance services to students, the counselor must be able to understand the characteristics of the counselee.

Individu usia sekolah merupakan salah satu pengakses internet dengan menggunakan media sosial paling aktif. Akses internet menjadi sangat yang rawan, mengingat penggunaannya di dominasi oleh kalangan usia sekolah. Beredarnya isu hoax, fitnah, bahkan menghujat melalui media sosial yang dengan mudahnya di akses melalui internet, menunjukkan belum dewasanya dalam penggunaan internet.  Tujuan dalam penelitian ini mengetahui proses optimalisasi peran internet dalam mewujudkan digital citizenship di Kota Semarang dan mengkaji implikasi dari optimalisasi peran internet terhadap ketahanan pribadi siswa di Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses optimalisasi peran internet dalam mewujudkan digital citizenship di SMA Negeri 1 Semarang dan SMK Negeri 1 Semarang dilakukan dengan mengoptimalkan akses digital, digital literacy, dan perdagangan digital. Implikasi dari optimalisasi peran internet terhadap ketahanan pribadi siswa dengan adanya hukum digital dan mewujudkan digital citizenship. Sembilan kriteria dalam mewujudkan digital citizenship telah terpenuhi, namun masih harus ada perbaikan untuk mengoptimalkannya.-----School-age is the most active social media. Internet access is very vulnerable, considering that school-age groups dominate its use. Circulation of hoax, slander, and even blasphemy through social media easily accessed via the internet shows not yet mature in using the internet. The purpose of this study is to determine the process of optimizing the role of the internet in realizing digital citizenship in Semarang City and examining the implications of optimizing the role of the internet for the personal endurance of students in the city of Semarang. This research uses a qualitative approach. The research findings that the process of optimizing the role of the internet in realizing digital citizenship in SMA (Senior High Scholl) Negeri 1 Semarang and SMK (Vocational High School) Negeri 1 Semarang carried out by optimizing digital access, digital literacy, and digital commerce. Implications of optimizing the role of the internet on students' personal resilience in the presence of digital laws and realizing digital citizenship. Nine criteria in realizing digital citizenship have met, but there must still be improvements to optimize it.
