The design of inner space or better known as interior design is the study of design in a building and used to solve human problems. One of scientific studies based on design science, this scientific field aims to beable to create a built environment (inner space) along with its supporting elements, both physical and non-physical. So that the quality of human life in it becomes better. The interior design process aims to solve complex problems related to human response to space. To be able to solve the problem in its entirety, it requires an appropriate design concept. The success of the design concept depends on the approach taken in the preparation process.Interior spatial concepts can be built by understanding several things, including: components of design understanding, analytical design schemes, design mindset mapping, design approach methods, and ending with the design concept used in interior planning & design processes. By understanding these things, a scope of interior design in solving design problems is expected to be resolved clearly and systematically, so that the process of drafting the proper interior design & planning concepts can be done more easily. The right concept will eventually be able to tie the design results into a fully integrated design

By analyzing the philosophical thoughts of "Great Truths Are All Simple" of Eastern Taoism and the design philosophy of "Less is More" born of Western modernism, the design concept of "simple aesthetics" was proposed. And from the five aspects of form, color, material, detail, attitude, and combing the application of the "simple aesthetics" design concept in the interior design under the fusion of Eastern and Western cultural backgrounds, it is concluded that the "simple aesthetics" design concept meets the needs of the times and artistic aesthetics, the positive meaning of the human spirit.

To apply the design concept of regional design, excavate the typical culture of Chongqing for the current design, and endows the cultural elements and symbols that have lasted for a long time with a new flavor of The Times, firstly, the design concept of regional design is introduced to present and analyze typical regional cultural elements of Chongqing. Then, the cultural appeal and social influence of the design of Chongqing rail transit are analyzed, and the main entry point of the design is summarized to provide theoretical reference and method guidance for the subsequent design. Finally, after completing the theoretical framework, typical case analysis and the reference of design techniques, the design procedure of rail vehicles with Chongqing regional culture is proposed, and the shape design, exterior design and the interior design are completed, which have certain guiding significance for the regional characteristics of rail transit construction in Chongqing.

The text provides an overview of the changes made inside the Museum in terms of the positioning of the permanent exhibition and the extension of storage facilities and workspace from the foundation of the Museum in 1919 to this day. The building in which the Ethnographic Museum is located is one of a few buildings in the city of Zagreb that has been built for a specific museological purpose. Nevertheless, from its inception, its structure and the interior design concept were inadequate for the performance of all the museum activities and hence repurposing and room extensions have been performed several times

The reason of constructing the building facility is to facilitate users’ activity and service. The article purpose is to introduce servicescape concept as a part of route that could be used to measure users’ satisfaction level towards interior facility by giving additional value in selling goods and services in the building. Servicescape theory is one physical prove that could influence somebody’s point of view about physical environment in a commercial facility. Some points discussed in servicescape are style, design, sign, space layout, function, and ambient condition. Method used is literature study from some books along with illustration analysis related to commercial facility interior. The expected result is to give point of view from servicescape theory that could be applied by an interior design in defining design concept especially related to commercial facility. The conclusion showed some points in servicescape theory that could be used to direct and deliver the designer to design concept decision that would satisfy facility interior users.

Globalization affects all aspects of people's lives, including changes in cultural values. This threatens the diversity and uniqueness of the existing local culture. In general, culture is more focused on universal form and uniformity. For this reason, efforts are needed to introduce and redevelop the cultural diversity of the local area. One of the strategies is to promote traditional culture as a source of inspiration in the interior design concept of a city hotel. This interior design uses the Jaipong Kawung Anten dance as a source of inspiration for City Hotel's interior design. The research method uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Processing the design concept takes the character and philosophy of the Jaipong Kawung Anten dance. The Jaipong Kawung Anten dance tells the story of the daughter of Kawung Anten from the Sumedang Larang kingdom. The character of the dance is dynamic, varied, energetic, and masculine. The elements of the dance are implemented in the treatment of walls, floors, and the selection of furniture. Some elements of the Jaipong Kawung Anten dance are also processed into artwork and hotel interior ornaments. The choice of interior materials and colors also refers to the visualization of the Jaipong Kawung Anten dance. The results of this interior design are expected to become an iconic hotel in Bandung with the theme "Jaipong Kawung Anten". Through interior design, this can also be an effort to help preserve traditional Sundanese culture.
