ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describing reading skills understanding text of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 32 Padang. Second, describing the exposition for writing the text skills of Grade VIII students in Padang Middle School 32 Third, describing the correlation of reading skills in the text comprehension and the exposition for writing text skills for grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 32 Padang. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The design used is correlational design. The study population was grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 32 Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year, which was 196 students. The study sample was determined by proportional random sampling of 25% of the population, namely 49 students. The research data is in the form of a reading skill test score understanding and the score of the exsposition for writing the text exsposition. There are two instruments for this research, namely objective tests to measure reading skills, comprehension  and performance tests to measure the exsposition for writing text skills. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that there was a significant correlation between reading skills, text comprehension, and exsposition writing skills in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 32 Padang. at the real level (α) of 95% with n-1 freedom degrees in other words if the reading skills of students 'exsposition text comprehension are good, then students' writing skills are also good. Conversely, if the reading skills of students 'exsposition text comprehension are bad then the students' writing exsposition text skills are also bad. Kata Kunci: Membaca Pemahaman, Keterampilan Menulis Teks, Eksposisi

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research there are three. First, describe the environmental field vocabulary mastery of grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 18. Second, it describes the writing skills text beritasiswa class VIII SMP Negeri Padang 18. Third, vocabulary mastery correlation describes the environmental field with the text of the news writing skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri Padang 18. The theory associated with this research is a theory about the writing skills (a), (b) the text of the news, and (c) mastery of the vocabulary of the field of the environment.  This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used is a korelasional design. Population research is grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 18 listed on the school year 2018/2019, namely 362 students. The research sample is determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, namely 72 students. Research data in the form of score vocabulary mastery test results of the environmental field and score the writing skills test result text news. The data obtained through two types of tests i.e. objective tests to measure mastery of the vocabulary of the field of environmental and performance tests for measuring writing skills text news. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that vocabulary knowledge is correlated with writing skills text news. The better knowledge of vocabulary will be the better text news writing skills anyway. Thus, for the skilled writing text news grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang, 18 required mastery of the vocabulary. Kata kunci: Korelasi, Kosakata, Menulis, Teks Berita

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, it describes the reading skills of news comprehension of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Solok. Second, describe the news text writing skills. Third, describe the correlation of reading news comprehension with news writing skills. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive methods. The design used in this study is correlational design. The population of this study was students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Solok. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling 15% of the population. The data of this study were in the form of scores on the reading comprehension test results of news comprehension and scores on the results of writing news text skills. This research instrument is an objective test to measure reading comprehension skills of news and performance tests to measure news text writing skills. Three results of this study. First, the reading skills of news comprehension in good qualifications (B) with an average grade of 78.56. Secondly, news writing skills in good qualifications (B) with an average of 77.78. Third, there is a correlation between reading comprehension and news writing skills with news text with n-1 degrees of freedom at a 95% confidence level. T value (3.77) is greater than t table (1.72), that is tcount> t table (3.77> 1.72), thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted because the test results prove that tcount is greater than t table.    Kata kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Berita, Keterampilan          menulis berita

ABSTRACT This article reveals the contribution of skills reading comprehension text descriptions to writing skills text description grade students VII SMP Negeri Batang Kapas 1. The purpose of this research there are three. First, it describes the skills of reading comprehension text description grade VII SMP Negeri 1 field. Second, it describes the writing skills text description grade VII SMP Negeri 1 field. Third, describing the contribution of the intermediate reading comprehension text descriptions against writing skills text description grade VII SMP Negeri 12 field. The design used in this research is the design contribution. This research population is grade VII SMP Negeri Padang are registered on the 12th school year 2018/2019, i.e. as many as 286 students. The sample in this research are determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, i.e. 54 students. Research data is a score test. The data obtained through two types of tests i.e. objective tests to measure the skills of reading comprehension text description and performance tests to measure the skills of writing a text description.. First, the skills of reading comprehension text description grade VII SMP Negeri Padang 12 are on good qualifications (B) by the value of the average 80.09. Second, the skills of writing text descriptions grade VII SMP Negeri Padang 12 are on good qualifications (B) with an average of 80.86. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, it describes the skills of reading comprehension text description grade VII SMP Negeri 8 field. Second, it describes the writing skills text description grade VII SMP Negeri 8 field. Third, describing the correlation of the reading comprehension text descriptions and writing skills text description grade VII SMP Negeri 8 field. This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this research is the design correlation. This research population is grade VII SMP 8 Negeri Padang are registered on the 12th school year 2018/2019, i.e. as many as 255 students. The sample in this research are determined by proportional random sampling of 15% of the population, i.e. 40 students. The data obtained through two types of tests i.e. objective tests to measure the skills of reading comprehension text description and performance tests to measure the skills of writing a text description. The results of the research there are three. First, the skills of reading comprehension text description grade VII SMP Negeri Padang 8 are on good qualifications (B) by the value of the average 79.17. Second, the skills of writing text descriptions grade VII SMP Negeri Padang 8 are on good qualifications (B) with an average of 81.25. Third, there is a significant correlation between reading skills of calss VII students of SMP Negeri 8 Padang in the freedom degree and 95% significant level. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describe comprehension reading skills. Second, describe explanatory text writing skills. Third, describe the correlation of reading comprehension skills with explanatory text writing skills of class XI students of SMA Adabiah Padang. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The design of this study is correlational design. The study population was registered in 2018/2019, which is 287 students. The research sample was proportional random sampling of 20% of the population of 57 students. The research data is in the form of scores on the results of comprehension reading skills tests and scores on the results of explanatory text writing skills. The instrument of this study was an objective test to measure comprehension reading skills and performance tests to measure writing skills. The results of this study are three. First, reading comprehension skills of class XI students of SMA Adabiah Padang are of good qualification (B). Second, explanatory text writing skills of class XI students of SMA Adabiah Padang are of good qualification (B). Third, there is a correlation of reading comprehension skills with explanatory text writing skills with n-1 freedom degrees at the 95% confidence level. The value of tcount (38.54) is greater than t table (1.66) that is tcount> ttable (38.54> 1.68) thus H0 is rejected and H1. Based on the results of these studies it was concluded that reading comprehension skills correlated with explanatory text writing skills.  Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman, Keterampilan Menulis Teks Eksplanasi.

Second, describing fable text writing skills of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. Third, describe the contribution of reading skills to fable text comprehension on fable text writing skills of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The design used in this study is design contribution. The population of this study was the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year, namely as many as 250 students. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, which is 48 students. The data of this study were scores on the results of reading skills tests of fable text comprehension and scores on the results of fable text writing skills. The data was obtained through two types of tests, namely objektive to measure reading skills fable text comprehension and performance tests to measure fable text writing skills. The results of this study are three. First, reading skills of fable text comprehension of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang are in good qualification (B) with an average value of 81.31. Second, fable text writing skills of grade VII students of Padang Public Middle School 25 are in good qualification (B) with an average of 77.26. Secondly, it describes the writing skills of anecdotal text students XI MA Negeri 3 Padang. Third, describing the contribution of reading skills of anecdotal text to the writing skills of anecdotal text students XI MA Negeri 3 Padang. This type of research is quantitative by a descriptive method. The design used in this study is design contributions. The population of this study is the XI MA Negeri 3 class students enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year, with 250 students. The samples in this study were determined by simple random sampling 25% of the population, which is 61 students. This research Data in the form of scores of test skills reads the understanding of anecdotal text and scores test results of anecdotal text. The Data is obtained through two types of tests i.e. objective tests to measure the reading skills of anecdotal text and test performance to measure anecdotal text writing skills. The results of this study were three. First, the reading skills of understanding anecdotal text students XI MA Negeri 3 Padang are in good qualification (B) with an average value of 85.09. Secondly, the writing skills of anecdote-class students XI MA Negeri 3 Padang are on a good qualifying (BS) with an average of 86.13. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describe the listening skills of class VIII interview at SMP Negeri 23 Padang. Second, describing the news text writing skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 23 Padang. Third, describe the correlation of listening skills to interviews with news text writing skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 23 Padang. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this study is correlational design. The population of this study was Class VIII of SMP Negeri 23 Padang. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling of 25% of the population, namely 51 students. The research data were test scores on interview listening skills and news text writing skills test scores. The research instrument was an objective test to measure interview listening skills and performance tests to measure news text writing skills. The results of this study are three. First, the writing text skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 23 Padang are in more than enough qualifications. Secondly, listening to interview skills is more than adequate.
