ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describing reading skills understanding the procedural text of class VII students at SMP Negeri 25 Padang. Second, describing the procedure for writing the text skills of Grade VII students in Padang Middle School 25 Third, describing the correlation of reading skills in the text comprehension procedure and the procedure for writing text skills for grade VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The design used is correlational design. The study population was grade VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year, which was 241 students. The study sample was determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, namely 45 students. The research data is in the form of a reading skill test score understanding of the procedure text and the score of the procedure for writing the text procedure. There are two instruments for this research, namely objective tests to measure reading skills, comprehension of text procedures and performance tests to measure the procedure for writing text skills. text comprehension procedures, and procedure writing skills in class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. at the real level (α) of 95% with n-1 freedom degrees in other words if the reading skills of students 'procedural text comprehension are good, then students' writing skills are also good. Conversely, if the reading skills of students 'procedural text comprehension are bad then the students' writing procedure text skills are also bad. Kata kunci : keterampilan membaca pemahaman, keterampilan menulis                    teks prosedur

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describing reading skills understanding text of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 32 Padang. Second, describing the exposition for writing the text skills of Grade VIII students in Padang Middle School 32 Third, describing the correlation of reading skills in the text comprehension and the exposition for writing text skills for grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 32 Padang. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The design used is correlational design. The study population was grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 32 Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year, which was 196 students. The study sample was determined by proportional random sampling of 25% of the population, namely 49 students. The research data is in the form of a reading skill test score understanding and the score of the exsposition for writing the text exsposition. There are two instruments for this research, namely objective tests to measure reading skills, comprehension  and performance tests to measure the exsposition for writing text skills. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that there was a significant correlation between reading skills, text comprehension, and exsposition writing skills in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 32 Padang. at the real level (α) of 95% with n-1 freedom degrees in other words if the reading skills of students 'exsposition text comprehension are good, then students' writing skills are also good. Second, describing the exposition text writing skills of Grade X students in SMA Negeri 2 Painan, describing the correlation of reading skills in the text comprehension exposition and the writing text skills for grade X students of SMA Negeri 2 Painan. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The study sample was determined by proportional random sampling of 15% of the population, namely 54 students. The research data is in the form of a reading skill test score understanding of the exposition text and the score of writing skills the text exposition. There are two instruments for this research, namely objective tests to measure reading skills, comprehension of text exposition and performance tests to measure for writing text skills. Text comprehension exposition, and writing skills in class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Painan at the real level (α) of 95% with n-1 freedom degrees in other words if the reading skills of students exposition text comprehension are good, then students' writing skills are also good. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describe comprehension reading skills. Second, describe explanatory text writing skills. Third, describe the correlation of reading comprehension skills with explanatory text writing skills of class XI students of SMA Adabiah Padang. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The design of this study is correlational design. The study population was registered in 2018/2019, which is 287 students. The research sample was proportional random sampling of 20% of the population of 57 students. The research data is in the form of scores on the results of comprehension reading skills tests and scores on the results of explanatory text writing skills. The instrument of this study was an objective test to measure comprehension reading skills and performance tests to measure writing skills. The results of this study are three. First, reading comprehension skills of class XI students of SMA Adabiah Padang are of good qualification (B). Second, explanatory text writing skills of class XI students of SMA Adabiah Padang are of good qualification (B). Third, there is a correlation of reading comprehension skills with explanatory text writing skills with n-1 freedom degrees at the 95% confidence level. The value of tcount (38.54) is greater than t table (1.66) that is tcount> ttable (38.54> 1.68) thus H0 is rejected and H1. Based on the results of these studies it was concluded that reading comprehension skills correlated with explanatory text writing skills.  Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman, Keterampilan Menulis Teks Eksplanasi.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describe the reading skills of fable text comprehension of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. Second, describing fable text writing skills of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. Third, describe the contribution of reading skills to fable text comprehension on fable text writing skills of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The design used in this study is design contribution. The population of this study was the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year, namely as many as 250 students. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, which is 48 students. The data of this study were scores on the results of reading skills tests of fable text comprehension and scores on the results of fable text writing skills. The data was obtained through two types of tests, namely objektive to measure reading skills fable text comprehension and performance tests to measure fable text writing skills. The results of this study are three. First, reading skills of fable text comprehension of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang are in good qualification (B) with an average value of 81.31. Second, fable text writing skills of grade VII students of Padang Public Middle School 25 are in good qualification (B) with an average of 77.26. Third, there is a contribution of reading skills in fable text comprehension towards fable text writing skills of class VII students of Padang State Middle School at 53.29%. Kata Kunci: Kontribusi, keterampilan membaca                    pemahaman, keterampilan menulis teks fabel

ABSTRACT The purpose of the research is to describe the reading skills of students' news text comprehension, Second, to describe the skills of writing news texts of students, third, to describe the correlation of reading comprehension of news texts with news writing skills of students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 9 Padang. The population of this research is VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Padang in the 2019/2020 school year, which is 245 students. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling 25% of 49 students. The research data scores the results of reading text comprehension test scores and the scores of news text writing skills scores. The research instrument is an objective test for reading text comprehension skills and performance tests for news text writing skills. Research Results First, the reading skills of understanding the news text of good qualifying students (B). Second, the skills of writing news texts of good qualifying students (B). Third, there is a correlation between reading comprehension and news writing skills with news writing skills of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Padang with degrees of freedom n-1 at 95% confidence level. T value (5.55) is greater than t table (1.68), i.e. titung> ttabel (5.55> 1.68) thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted because the test results prove that tcount is greater than t table. It can be concluded that reading text comprehension skills are correlated with news text writing skills. Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Membaca Pemahaman, Teks Berita

ABSTRACT This article reveals the contribution of skills reading comprehension text exposition to writing skills text description grade students VIII SMP Negeri Padang Panjang 2.. This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this research is the design contribution. This research population is grade VIII SMP Negeri 2 Padang Panjang are registered on the 12th school year 2018/2019, i.e. as many as 156 students. The sample in this research are determined by proportional random sampling of 25% of the population, i.e. 40 students. Research data is a score test results intermediate reading comprehension text exposition and score the writing skills test result text exposition. The data obtained through two types of tests i.e. objective tests to measure the skills of reading comprehension text exposition and performance tests to measure the skills of writing a text exposition. The results of the research there are three. First, the skills of reading comprehension text exposition grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang Panjang  2 are on good qualifications (B) by the value of the average 79.39. Second, the skills of writing text exposition grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang Panjang  2 are on good qualifications (B) with an average of 80.23. Third, there is a contribution of reading skills in the description of text to the skills of writing exposition texts of class grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang  Panjang 2 at 76,39%. Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Keterampilan, Membaca Pemahaman, Menulis, Teks Eksposisi

ABSTRACT There are three aims of this study. First, describe the skills of reading comprehention of VII grade students at SMP Negeri 33 Padang. Second, describe the writing skills of the report observation text of VII grade students at SMP Negeri 33 Padang. Third, describe the correlation of reading comprehention with the writing skills of the report observation text of VII grade students at SMP Negeri 33 Padang. The  type of this research is quantitative in terms of descriptive methods. The design used in this study is correlational design. The population of this study was the seventh grade students of the SMP Negeri 33 Padang which was registered in the 2018/2019 school year, it was 192 students. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, namely 36 students. The research data is in the form of scores on the skills test results of reading comprehention and scores on the results of the test writing skills of the report observation text. The instrument of this study is an objective test to measure reading comprehention skills and performance tests to measure report observation text writing skills. The results of this study are three. First, the skills to write report observation texts of  VII grade students of the SMP Negeri 33 Padang is in accordance with the Good qualifications (B) with an averange value 82,99. Second, the skill of reading comprehention of VII grade students of the SMP Negeri 33 Padang in accordance with Good qualifications (B) with an averange value 81,42. Third, there is a significant correlation betwen reading comprehention skills and report observation text writing skills of VIII grade students of the SMP Negeri 7 Padang on n-1 freedom degrees and 95% significant level. H0 is reject and H1is accepted because the tcount is greater than ttable (13,59 > 2,68).  Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman, Keterampilan Menulis Teks Laporan Hasil Observasi.

Second, the skills of writing text descriptions grade VII SMP Negeri Padang 12 are on good qualifications (B) with an average of 80.86. The results of the research there are three. First, the skills of reading comprehension grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 13 are on more than enough qualifications (LdC) by the value of the average 75.41. Second, the skills of writing text exposition grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 13 are on good qualifications (B) with an average of 77.37. Third, there is a contribution of reading skills in the exposition of text to the skills of writing exposition texts of class grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 13 at 62.77%. Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Keterampilan, Membaca Pemahaman, Menulis,                         Teks Eksposisi.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, it describes the reading skills of news comprehension of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Solok. Second, describe the news text writing skills. Third, describe the correlation of reading news comprehension with news writing skills. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive methods. The design used in this study is correlational design. The population of this study was students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Solok. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling 15% of the population. The data of this study were in the form of scores on the reading comprehension test results of news comprehension and scores on the results of writing news text skills. This research instrument is an objective test to measure reading comprehension skills of news and performance tests to measure news text writing skills. Three results of this study. First, the reading skills of news comprehension in good qualifications (B) with an average grade of 78.56. Secondly, news writing skills in good qualifications (B) with an average of 77.78. Third, there is a correlation between reading comprehension and news writing skills with news text with n-1 degrees of freedom at a 95% confidence level. T value (3.77) is greater than t table (1.72), that is tcount> t table (3.77> 1.72), thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted because the test results prove that tcount is greater than t table.    Kata kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Berita, Keterampilan          menulis berita
