The Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, which was adopted in 1994 and entered into force in 1995, was the country’s first post-Soviet Criminal Code. In 2018, the President of Uzbekistan called for adoption of a revised edition of the Criminal Code whose provisions should correspond more closely to international law, and would be more appropriately suited to modern realities. The article offers an overview of the draft Chapter on crimes against the peace and security of mankind, as proposed by the author in his capacity as a member of the Working Group for revision of the Criminal Code. It draws upon the best practices of a number of States, and offers a concise article-by-article commentary on the draft Chapter.

Introduction: The addition of computerized physician order entry (CPOE) to Emergency Departments in recent years has led to speculation over potential benefits and pitfalls. Recent studies have shown benefits to CPOE, though there lacks sufficient evidence on how it could change physician behaviour. Physician practices are known to be difficult to change, with getting evidence into daily practice being the main challenge of knowledge translation. Our study aims were to determine if well-designed electronic order sets for CPOE improved MD practices. Methods: The Calgary Zone Pain Management in the Emergency Department Working Group relied on a GRADE-based literature review for identifying best practices for analgesia and antiemetics, resulting in soft changes to the dedicated analgesia and antiemetic electronic order set noting working group preference, and emphasizing hydromorphone over morphine, as well as 4 mg ondansetron over 8 mg. The new electronic order set was started in the only Calgary Region order entry system on December 11th, 2014. Data was collected from July 2014 - May 2015. A Yates chi-squared analysis was completed on all orders in a category, as well as the subgroups of ED staff and residents, and orders placed using the new order set. Results: A total of 100460 orders were analyzed. The use of hydromorphone increased significantly across all 4 EDs. IV hydromorphone use increased (5.82% of all opioid orders up to 26.93%, P<0.0001) with a reciprocal decline in IV morphine (67.81% of all opioid orders down to 46.56%, P<0.0001). Similar effects were observed with ondansetron 4 mg IV orders increasing (1.37% of all ondansetron orders to 18.64%, P<0.0001) with a decrease in 8 mg dosing (15.75% of all ondansetron orders to 7.23%, P<0.0001). These results were replicated to a lesser degree in the non-ED staff and non-order set subgroups. Implementation of the new order set resulted in an increase of its use (37.64% of all opioid orders up to 49.29%, P<0.0001). Finally, a cost-savings analysis was completed showing a projected annual savings of $185,676.52 on medications alone. Conclusion: This data supports the manipulation of electronic order sets to help shape physician behaviour towards best practices. This provides another strong argument towards the benefits of CPOE, and can help maintain best practices in Emergency Medicine.

Abstract In 2019, members of the EuroHealthNet Partnership established the first Thematic Working Group on Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Programme Registers with the intention of becoming 'the competence engine for Programme Registers in Europe.' The group's objectives include to exchange experience, to initiate joint projects, to identify and further develop common topics relevant to Programme Registers, and to share findings in scientific papers and international conferences. Through such activities, the group builds the foundation for a more systematic and scientific European approach to translating evidence into practice and provides a forum for liaison and exchange between EU Member States, the European Commission, and international partners. Programme registers are only as relevant as they are influential in professionals' and policy makers' decision-making around intervention selection. Facilitating uptake of best practices requires an understanding of incentives, disincentives and decision-making processes, as well as how to make the programme registers more prominent and user-friendly. Outcomes from the 2020 Working Group meeting in Cologne will be presented, including case studies from across Europe, as well as recommendations to improve the uptake of best practices, tailored to portals at different stages of development.

Abstract. The implementation of the new 2013 Curriculum in schools has been started in July 2013. The implementation of the curriculum is expected to increase the quality of management and process of education at any unit of education that leads to the effort of improving the quality of learning and education. In connection with the application of the new curriculum, this research would like to reveal the problems regarding how elementary school teachers respond to the implementation of 2013 Curriculum in Bandung City with regard to planning, implementation, and assessment of curriculum. It also studied the best practice which can be emulated in terms of planning, implementation and assessment of curriculum conducted by elementary school teachers in Bandung City.The results showed that the response of elementary school teachers on the implementation of 2013 Curriculum in Bandung City was in the positive category. The planning activity was in the category of very positive while the implementation and assessment activities were in the positive category. Some best practices that can be emulated in planning, implementation and assessment conducted by the teachers in implementing the 2013 Curriculum are the activities of sharing, hearing, in-house training and real teaching modeling that were carried out in Teacher Working Group (KKG).Keywords: 2013 Curriculum, teachers’ response, best practice, curriculum implementation Abstrak. Penerapan kurikulum baru, yakni implementasi Kurikulum 2013 di sekolah telah dimulai sejak bulan Juli 2013.  Implementasi Kurikulum tersebut diharapkan mendorong peningkatan kualitas pengelolaan dan proses pendidikan pada setiap satuan pendidikan yang mengarah pada upaya peningkatan mutu pembelajaran dan pendidikan. Dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya penerapan kurikulum tersebut, penelitian ini ingin mengungkap permasalahan yang berkenaan dengan "Bagaimanakah respon guru SD terhadap terhadap implementasi Kurikulum 2013 di Kota Bandung dilihat dari kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian kurikulum? dan "Best Practice" apa yang dapat dicontoh dalam hal perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian kurikulum yang dilakukan oleh guru SD di Kota Bandung? Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Respon guru SD terhadap terhadap implementasi Kurikulum 2013 di Kota Bandung berada pada kategori positif.  Untuk kegiatan perencanaan berada pada kategori sangat positif, sedangkan untuk kegiatan pelaksanaan dan penilaian kurikulum berada pada kategori positif. Terdapat beberapa  "best practice" yang dapat dicontoh dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian  dari guru SD di Kota Bandung terkait dengan implementasi Kurikulum 2013 berupa kegiatan "sharing", "hearing", "in house training", dan "modelling real teaching" yang dilaksanakan di KKG atau KKG gugus. Kata kunci:      Kurikulum 2013, Respon Guru dan Best Practice Implementasi Kurikulum.

BackgroundTherapeutic virtual reality (VR) has emerged as an efficacious treatment modality for a wide range of health conditions. However, despite encouraging outcomes from early stage research, a consensus for the best way to develop and evaluate VR treatments within a scientific framework is needed.ObjectiveWe aimed to develop a methodological framework with input from an international working group in order to guide the design, implementation, analysis, interpretation, and communication of trials that develop and test VR treatments.MethodsA group of 21 international experts was recruited based on their contributions to the VR literature. The resulting Virtual Reality Clinical Outcomes Research Experts held iterative meetings to seek consensus on best practices for the development and testing of VR treatments.ResultsThe interactions were transcribed, and key themes were identified to develop a scientific framework in order to support best practices in methodology of clinical VR trials. Using the Food and Drug Administration Phase I-III pharmacotherapy model as guidance, a framework emerged to support three phases of VR clinical study designs—VR1, VR2, and VR3. VR1 studies focus on content development by working with patients and providers through the principles of human-centered design. VR2 trials conduct early testing with a focus on feasibility, acceptability, tolerability, and initial clinical efficacy. VR3 trials are randomized, controlled studies that evaluate efficacy against a control condition. Best practice recommendations for each trial were provided.ConclusionsPatients, providers, payers, and regulators should consider this best practice framework when assessing the validity of VR treatments.
